The reference to Salmo crashing the game if he gets bread is a masterpiece, genius lyrics and taught me something I didn't know about a game that I love.
If Oblivion wasn’t so hilariously goofy it would be quite spooky actually with all the weird and terrifying things happening in the game 👻 Like the setting is perfectly set up for it to be like that but the dialogues and how the characters act is actively preventing it from reaching that point
It works pretty well in the later parts of the DB questline, or at least I don't remember the lighthouse sequence being ruined by game mechanics or dialogue
The ayleid ruins are pretty spooky
Yeah, unfortunately the line delivery is too camp and the visuals were bombarded with bloom, plus honestly Oblivion's design has a bit too much of a "ren faire" feel to it.
That Brotherhood quest where you locked in the house is pretty creepy. But yeah, the over-the-top ragdolling kinda breaks the immersion 😂
Honestly I can get immersed just fine, the soundtrack in those dungeons is pure vibes. Oblivion is spookier than Skyrim
