He didn’t even go down on every rep. I’m 220 lbs and do pull ups with 30 lbs of added weight and can only muster 4/5 reps all the way down to lock out. If I do them like this without a lock out could easily do 10-12 reps. The lock out and the bottom is the hardest part

If you have an assisted pull up machine it will work as well. You definitely want to work on pulling you own bodyweight weight. Also the lat pulldown is a W

All the pull up methods are fine. Only when there's a predetermined method does that change. The pull down machine has an adjustable chair.
