Great video!!!!!!!!!!!! I did a search on Google using the continental part number that was shown on the sticker. All I got was a list of websites offering to sell the ECU i am searching for, it does not tell you what family the are from. Getting information for Bosch ECUs is very easy. Is there a way to identify the family and version. How did you figure out the ECU you worked on was a GPEC3.
Aweome! So once the VIN has been edited, it will work in the new car? The skim will be happy? Also I wonder if you increased the voltage if the device might connect easier? I thought I read some reports where certain modules responded better with 13-13.5 while others preferred 12-12.5.
Great question! Once you rewrite the VIN in the ECU, it usually doesn’t automatically notify the other modules in the vehicle. Some systems may require additional steps to make sure that all modules recognize the new VIN, while others might work just fine with the updated information
hey! Quick question. Yesterday I tried to adapt a similar by OBD2 using autel. I was able to change the vin, but I couldn't Align it. I got an error and told to wait a little and try again. I didn't work. Any help and/or guidance would be appreciated Thank you!
@@globalcommerce7654 It's a used PCM. According to the client stopped working. It's the same part number so I'm assuming it has the same calibration. Thank you for the quick response. Have you been able to change the vin and synchronize it by obd2?

Depends on model, some require some immo/proxi align afterwards..
So once the vin is rewrote in. Does the ecu tell the other modules in the vehicle the new vin or will it work as it should with the new vin ?

Quick question when ur reading the vin via scan tool on bench I see u put the 120 ohms resistor in pin 14 and pin 7 shouldn't it be in pin 14 and 6..?
Which other tool can i use to make clone for this ECU sir ?
Fc200
so this is cloning or jus editing the vin
hi, after correct the vin in these pcm is necessary to do proxi aliement or not?
Clone no, change vin I believe so.
What if pcm locks once you change vin ??

What happened to original ecm? Is this used ecm? Correct calibrations?
