I never skip through your videos. I'm learning a lot of techniques. I've done this with PC boards before with EEPROM readers. I've taken GPU's and flashed the EEPROM to enable features and boost clock speeds to a higher tier card. The manufacturers used to dumb down lower variants of cards and all you had to do is copy the BIOS from a higher end card to a lower end model. They started making multiple chips now instead of using the same chip and cheapening up components and running a slower dumbed down BIOS.

Hi Alex ecuflasher is an old version of pcmflash, it does not support GPEC2 and is unstable, I have it and the new version pcmflash.. OBDSTAR DC706 Support many modules to clone without opening as well. Thanks for watching 👍🏾

Could you buy blank eeprom chips and put in the donor ecm to have a blank vin? If you didn’t have a cloning tool

Wouldn't it have been easier to get the correct ECM to match the engine and transfer the pin with an IM608? we do it all the time.
Yes you can adapt a similar loaded ecm that way, but this is the way to do an exact 1 to 1 Clone of the ecm.

@@globalcommerce7654 Yes. I just use Ecuflasher to read old PCM, is a very good tool to read the GPEC2 flash and eeprom.. without open the ECU.
