UPDATE: I double checked my claims about Creed not using headset haptics and found out that the headset does actually rumble a bit when you get punched but it's so weak I didn't even notice. A solid punch to the face should be impactful --- whatever Creed is doing isn't enough. Hopefully Survios can give us a slider for the Sense Controllers and Headset haptics because in a boxing game I definitely need both to be stronger.
PS store description: "FEEL THE IMPACT" "head and controller haptic feedback make hitting, and getting hit more impactful.
Hope [Survios, Inc] patches an increase in vibration!!! If it's now [Weak] give us in-game setting for [Medium] [Strong]
you have to adjust the vibration level in settings outside the game
@@PROJaiRU Mine is on max. It's barely noticeable. I want haymakers to feel like crashing into the wall & spinning out in GT7.
If you are in touch with them enough they gave you a review copy, it would be great if you can really try your best to get them to listen on this and do something about it!! thanks
it should feel like when you ram a wall in GT7
Wonder how much work is required to patch stronger haptics and add endurance option to all game modes. Hope more people voice feedback via social media!
I really love the format of this review! Hearing baby Bryan gives it a weirdly nostalgic feel 😂
Ha thanks Griffin. It was just an experiment but I think it worked. So I might stick with this format for reviews of all PSVR1 remasters
Baby Brian? Lol. For some reason that made me think about Muppet Babies. Thanks for the nostalgia trip..lol
I really. Like the black and white filter makes it seem older than 6 years haha
It worked. And don't be too hard on yourself for how you may have sounded in past reviews because your reviews are what brought me in to start watching GamesCast.
Your reviews have always been insightful and helpful when I'm looking into new PS VR games to play. And I'm always looking forward to watching new ones.
@@WithoutParole Seemed natural to me. I just figured you did it with all of these upgraded ports.
Do you think the stamina mechanic is in multiplayer so that no one has a fitness advantage? That is sort of a good idea in one respect, but there should also be the option to play without it. VR is a whole new world of games that can incorporate fitness, which we've never had before. I'm sure plenty of people WOULD like to test their fitness against others, I really hope they can support both ways of playing against others!
I imagine so, but it would be fun if you could play a few placement games that track your ability and then you are put against opponents of a similar fitness and skill level at the game
There is an option to play without it in free play, “endurance” mode removes the stamina system
Glad to be watching your reviews again with psvr2!
Fantastic... love the mix between the old review too... definitely liking this method 👌
How in the hell is it missing headset haptics? This is the one game where that feature is almost top priority.
Dude for real. Let's hope that's a quick patch because it would make a huge difference for immersion
I've never seen Rocky or Creed so this game to me was "could be a cool looking boxing VR experience with the controller and headset haptics at least it will be a fun tech demo". But the graphics are sad, looks like PSVR 1 just higher resolution and there's no haptics, what a joke. Getting sacked in the NFL VR game is so fun to feel the headset shake, I wish more games would use it and use it strongly (with an option to turn it off for the cry babies who don't like fun).
Saw a review were he said every hit to body or head had feedback. Maybe a bug or and option toggle
Awesome review as always. Sometime soon do you think you could review the “new and improved” Gorn? I’m curious to see if they added anything new with the extra price tag and I’m considering getting it
so the headset has rumble, but a boxing game doesn't use it, shocking
Totally surprising, you get the hit on the head, would be totally immersive
Another great review (as always)! Really enjoyed how you used video clips from your previous reviews and then touched on if anything changed or not. Would love to see that again... if they ever bring Skyrim to PSVR 2.
Thanks for the review. I've been looking forward to this one, as I definitely plan to use it to complement my workouts. I really liked the first, but the tracking would make it so inconsistent to play. Bummer that the endurance mode isn't just a standard option across everything though.
Well done comparing and contrasting the previous version of both the game and your previous review. Work smarter, not harder. Next you just need to invent a time machine and send this video to your previous self or a reaction video. Then after you get that reaction video, erase your earlier memory, Men in Black style so you don't upset the timeline. Looking forward to that video.
I'm the person who introduced you to using a pulley system years ago. When I commented on during your stream you thought I was the owner of the company trying to promote it. So I bought two extra super chats to clear my name, lol. I honestly just wanted to share what I found and use with the community. I believe you eventually believed me.
I've been playing Townsman VR on PSVR2 and am really enjoying it. I discovered a way to cheese the combat island by putting an archer behind the main tower in the main castle. Also apparently there is a reference to the ferocious white rabbit from Monty python holy Grail movie in between the mountains in that level.
Keep up the great work!
I remember you! And if I remember correctly we were just giving you a hard time but I also remember that interaction being REALLY funny. Thanks for the recommendation, I'm glad you're still around! :D
How do we upgrade with the discount if we had the original version?
was waiting patiently for this review! thank you. going to wait for it to drop in price.
Thanks again for the review! And I’ve gotta keep mentioning how much I love you graphical pros/cons and showing what controls are supported.
Would love to see an extra spot indicating if I can be lazy and sit or not ;)
Thanks, I just added the seated/standing icons in my next review - a lot of other people have asked for it too! :D
Great review man!!
big thanks for the review... still looking for some more opinions ... no rumble in the headset ? why ? :(
Real question is will waiting for sale make the upgrade eventually free? Still have my disc copy, but I don't know about that 20
I heard that Bryan Paul named himself after Polish Paul
Duh duh diuh
Never heard of Polish Paul. Is that a type of sausage?
@@WithoutParole the beef is real....confirmed 😱. 🍖 🐄🐮
@@WithoutParole ha, Polish Paul will read that...his eyes are seemingly everywhere! You two are so contrasting but equally likeable!
Can you play this game when seated? I'm afraid i will knock out the walls, controllers, or my TV for that matter, since I'm all over the place when playing standing up. My play area is pretty limited to be able to have enough space between my couch and the walls and TV...
that reaction to the old video is gold😂😂😂
Hilarious, right? Yet very effective for the review. Have I ever sounded like that?
@@hookedworm17thehoosiergamecat i think its because of his old mic
@@steveschannel4190 likely so but highly effective for context. I'm proud, although never meeting, of Bryan's work and...patience.
I can't find a way to upgrade. It seems to think I don't own the PSVR1 version, although I do. Trying to see if downloading it again helps but if not may just have to wait for a significant price drop, as the upgrade price is high anyway.
Found you through LSM. Awesome channel man!
Thanks Paulie! I love those guys, hopefully we can get Dustin to make an appearance over here soon! :D
Parole why you never did the K.O blows to your opponent in this video? (that Red knuckle icon) You punch that icon and green circles comes out for K.O combo.
Sounds fun!
Whilst playing the OG, I wondered why the "training" section kept jumping from exercise to exercise before realising I was living a "montage"
You need a montage/ even Rocky had a montage 🎶
You make me feel so lazy Bryan. Great review.
Are there better boxing or fighting games for PSVR2?
Anyone know if you can play this on the first psvr??
Thanks Bryan, I’ll be picking it up, disappointed to hear about the haptics, was looking forward to feeling those punches to head, wonder if it’s a conscious decision so as to avoid, “you’re game gave me headaches”
sorry for the question, maybe stupid. I have the standard version of creed Psvr1, where can I find the upgrade for psvr2 which should cost 19.99?
Not stupid. Upgrade path was MIA last time I looked, even though the devs said there is one.
@@huwguyver4208 ah ok... in fact it is not yet available !
@@stefanotomiazzo Update: I checked again today and the upgrade path is now live, at least on the Aussie store. A bit expensive, but it's there.
Hello Bryan
Talking about sports games when are you gonna do a review for NFL pro era and compare the PSVR 1 version to PSVR 2 version,,?
👍
Boxing hasn't felt that great to me in VR but there was that game called the fight lights out for the PS move and that game was really good so I still have hope.
I can't upgrade from PSVR digital version to PSVR 2, the price remains 39$(for me 39€)
Same
Anyone know where the $20 upgrade path is? Can't seem to locate it anywhere on the store...
I can't either - maybe it'll appear when the store updates tomorrow at its usual time. But it's really strange that it's not there already...
@@WithoutParole Let's hope it does! That's why I'm waiting to purchase
Same here. They are charging $60 Aussie on the store right now and I already have the PSVR1 version. It's a good game but I'd rather wait for deep sale than encourage that kind of BS.
@@ThePokestopPapi did you find it? Where is it
@@Tobbyfeet When you select the PS5 version, the discounted $19.99 price should display if the client recognized that you purchased the digital version on PSVR1
Great work
Good review. I will probably wait for a sale. Not enough of an upgrade.
I'm definitely buying this. I loved playing the first one on Quest. It felt like actually boxing and got my heartrate going crazy.
Great stuff mate! Did they cancel the upgrade path option do you know? I noticed it touted in Feb and you mention it in your review but UK have not got that option available on the ps store. Cheers fella.
Same
I loved the baby Bri review technique.
b&w was good but would prefer seeing the old images fully clear to compare, maybe the odd side by side colour image or use a b&w border around the psvr1 video flash back.
It's interesting because I've seen multiple people on Reddit/Facebook groups complaining about how blurry the whole thing looks.
I wonder if that's down to the smaller sweet spot giving people a bad impression or if some people are more sensitive to blur or fuzzyness 🤔
It's not Saints & Sinners sharp but its certainly not blurry. I think a lot more people need glasses than they realize (myself included)...
Technically, I think it's bc the blacks are grey, the resolution isn't the best resulting in jaggies that blur objects from a distance, and the draw distance is short making visual depth fuzzy. Plus all the other headset related considerations you mentioned I'm sure come into play for some.
@thehoukster the grey blacks are definitely an issue and contribute to the "not quite next-gen look" I was referring to
I just got my PSVR2 and I think I will get this game it looks great and fun also it would be a workout for sure ❤ thanks for the review
Could you do a trophy guide trying to do the calorie trophy and 120calories I done 8 2min rounds and no trophy surley well over 120calories burned
I'd go into the fitness mode where it tracks how many calories you've burned. Just set it to 120 calories and bam, you should have your trophy
I never played the original, looks great. Reminds me of that Move fighting game on PS3.
Oh it's waaaay better than The Fight: Lights Out. I always wanted to like that game (I was a huge fan of PS3 Move games) but it was rough...
Great review as usual. I typically don't make purchases without the Without Parole stamp of approval. Does anyone else have issues with finding the upgrade price? Still says $39.99 on my end.....
Same, Im of the impression it was never officially announced and review copies wouldn't have needed an upgrade, so review codes would never encounter the problem. I'm thinking reviewers may just not realise it's not actually an option after all. 🤷♂️
@@leesladen On Playstation blog post the developers themselves state it is indeed a $20 upgrade for previous owners. 🤔
@@Salute413 Ye mate, it's showing today. I'm not sure why it was late but problem solved. 👍
It should be showing as upgradable now pal. It wasn't at time of release.
I think what could make this game way better is if creed added a rocky balboa career mode like how they have done with Adonis it would be so cool brining mick in this game with the classic gym and adding so many other rocky characters
Dont see an option for 20$ upgrade. Not sure if imissing something
I play thrill of fight, one thing not satisfactory is the training mode being too flexible (without a scoring system like beat saber).
Wonder if creed’s training system is better.
I liked Creed on PSVR better than Thrill of the Fight on Quest 2 tbh so I think I'll like this a lot. I liked the campaign, the warm ups before the fight, the radio announcers, the pep talks and how it told a story etc. Thrill of the Fight is kind of just a simulator (but a good one).
This just makes me want Knockout League to get a PSVR2 patch or follow-up.
I wasn’t able to play with my oculus friend don’t know what’s going on
Shit I played for 20 minutes. Just trained. I know I’m bout to get a decent lil workout. It’s not tracking my punches the way I want it to, but that’s okay.
Another review KO'd 🤘😁
You sounded the same 5 years ago to today to me 😂😂
Stamina thing is a killer
To be honest, it seems "Good enough" for my money, if only I could find out how to actually upgrade.
Great review Bryan
I still don't have the ability to upgrade to the psvr2 version...
It’s not giving me the upgrade option either
The developers said this should be available tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞
@@kilartist1thedreamweaverga3 Awesome to hear! Been trying to find information on the upgrade path everywhere, so thank you
It’s available now 👍🏻
Can you play without the VR headset
No --- there's a separate flatscreen version of Creed. So be careful not to buy the wrong one!
On psvr1 I personally enjoyed "Knockout League" much more, because it took itself less seriously and reminded me a lot of Nintendo's "Super Punch-out." Hopefully they will update it too (and the update will be cheaper)...
I just watched creed 3 tonight.. i really enjoyed it!! I am hoping they patch the headset haptics and the ability to turn off the stamina in at least the multiplayer mode.. that would greatly increase the quality of this games fun factor.
Creed 3 was dope 🔥.
Huge fan of all the original Rocky films, as well as the creed trilogy!
I just bought and downloaded this game..and will master every flaw....might create my own game in the game..that'd how I do....I do what I want to do...I go where everyone goes but everyone cannot go where I go...
I hate, I hate, I hate...the knockdown stamina mode! Seeing that is still a forced mechanism for multiplayer and campaign, stops me from buying the game :( Stamina mechanism completely ruins the experience for me. Its a shame as I do actually love everything else about it on the original and would get this in a heartbeat if they at least give you an option to toggle stamina off in multiplay. Otherwise, I have to stick with the excellent Thrill of the Fight on Quest 2 but that game is only single player. Thanks for the review and clarifying the stamina mode as no one else was mentioning that and notice how in the trailers, that is never shown! They know its horrible so they leaves that out, haha.
I'd buy it rn if you could turn the stamina off in MP.
Other than that issa pass for me.
yo, why is everything off center?
The social screen output (for this game anyway) is way off center, likely just using whatever the left or right eye is seeing
"When you get a haymaker to the head you should feel it... but there's nothing"
Weird, shuggs review said you feel every punch equally in the headset. So, it does or doesn't use headset haptics?
It really isn't worth 20 quid to upgrade. If it'd been like a fiver maybe I would have. Shame cos I really wanna see servios succeed.
The headset haptics are minor, like to the point I didn't even notice them until I put down the controllers and stood there and let someone hit me in the head. It's too bad, crashing through an item crate in Galaxy Karts is more impactful
Although I like the idea of being able to use the move stick, it feels more like an unnatural advantage. Though we WERE at an unnatural disadvantage without it so...🤷♂️
Im juzt glad thay fixed the movement 😅
Great game ive been sweating my breasts off😂😂
Me too I have a river of sweat running down my ball cleavage
Lol
Oh, no! Save the tatas! ❤
Honestly I can understand why people don't like the stamina system. Personally, it never really bothered me much, but I've always felt like the fighters were too easy to beat down. Having no stamina would make things even easier because of how strong your punches are generally + the opponent's (imo) low hp. I feel it gives a different sense of gameplay in where you can't just go on the offensive all the time and want to take moments to dodge and block punches. Throw a combination, wait and moment while your opponent tries to retaliate with their own, punish them after a successful dodge.
Though I really do enjoy endurance mode because I feel the base game is too easy. Having opponents deal more damage and have higher hp makes fight last longer and are more fun imo. However I'm not really into PvP myself because of all the players that just flail their arms and deal lots of damage. It's not fun to fight, especially as a player who wants to have a genuine match. No stamina would mean that they can abuse that more. That being said, endurance should be an option for PvP. Wouldn't care for it myself, but it'd make other people happy at least.
Also does anyone have the deluxe version of this release? I'd like to see a video showcasing the "glow" costumes.
I don't like fighting random players, its fighting friends is my appeal but the stamina mechanic is a total ruin of the experience for both me and my friends (although, like you some are not too bothered...especially the fittest of my friends, haha)
i was going to purchase for the pvp element but if you’re telling me it’s cheap players just flailing their arms then no thanks. reminds me of kayak vr multiplayer, people are insane standing up flailing their arms lol
@@jeremypr Well there's definitely going to be an influx of new players who haven't played the original. You CAN find players that don't fight cheap, and if you have some vr friends or can find people to friend who also have the game and will play for real, that's always an option. Afaik, Creed is one of, if not the only multiplayer boxing game available. Thrill of the Fight will have a sequel at some point with multiplayer being one of the development goals.
@@theycallmemrglass I unfortunately do not have any friends with vr (none of them are really interested)😔. Maybe I'll take my chances with randos again and hope for the best.
@@ubeltheukikitotally understand...and same here! the friends I make are actually people on a vr forum whom I have had long nice acquaintances with, or you can make aqaintances with fellow followers of this channel's discord' etc and arrange matches with them. I also made very good friends from playing 1-1 games like Racket Fury from all over the world. Like you, I never was a multiplayer person before VR...and still not! But in Vr it is kinda different, there is generally more politeness perhaps because VR is a niche, I don't really know but one to one multiplayer sports games such as racket fury is easy to find permanent friends and then I just stick with them! One such friend I made is in Germany and although he speaks English to me I felt I wanted to reciprocate and learn German so I know speak a little German as a bonus perk, lol. But I totally understand if that's also not for you as I am quite a chatter so I like chatting and playing (perhaps that is a bit too obvious, going by this reply!).
With much better tracking and stick movement, this was an easy upgrade for me.
I'm going to give this a go because whatever if it sucks it's only 40 bucks but if I'm being completely honest I do prefer Thrill of the fight. I have many many many years of training under my belt and many years of fighting both boxing and Muay Thai. That being said I always felt Creed was more of a gimmick than an actual fighter. Like literally you can shake your hands out in front of you and throw crazy combos. That being said I understand their games and it can't be like a real sparring match yet but I can't wait until someone actually Nails it
I think it's not just a little overpriced...
40 is way too much.
While the limited enhanced graphics, the light haptics, and 20 buck upgrade are disappointing...the fact that they actually have an endurance mode but you can't use this feature in multiplayer is absolutely insane! This would be give the game so much more length and enjoyment. Hard pass.
This was like 5 years ago, why do I sound like that?
Me, hearing almost the same identical voice except .5 db higher o: keke it's what you sound like bro
Well I own the PSVR1 edition of this game... but there not offering me any discount price, there asking full price... disgusting !!! UK.
I always pretending Bobby nash was mike Tyson 💀
Fun game glitch a few times but fun....
I like it ..
Tbh the originals problems were the tracking was bad but mostly that the in game fighter got tired insanely quickly and it was just a dumb mechanic. Out of shape gamers shouldn't have much more stamina than a supposed pro fighter
5:00 An update can easily fix that.
looks like Nintendo's Knockout but modernized for VR.
I can’t play. I just leaves me floating in the air
Greatest reviews in the industry, IMO. Thank you, Bryan once again. The black and white visual replays plus your cute kid voice made me realize how long I've depended on your efforts. Love you too, brother!
cute…..uhhhh cringe awkward
I hate stamina systems in VR. It so jarring. Why does a trained boxer have less stamina than I do?
Slap boxing 😂
So Bryan’s testosterone has doubled in the last 5 years… also 🤔 this review actually made me consider this game, since I didn’t play the original.
When are we getting new stuff? A lot of recycled content with psvr2 so far. Not regretting my purchase yet but nothing new to play.
Everyone rushed their games out for launch so everything was a little frontloaded. But 2023 is stacked with awesome games dude - Hubris, Madison, Ovrdark, Journey to Foundation, Hellsweeper, Low-Fi, Lonn, Undead Citadel, Firewall Ultra, Crossfire Sierra Squad, Aliens VR, Green Hell, Ghost of Tabor, Firmament, Behemoth, Ghostbusters VR.... I mean those games alone will make the rest of this year awesome! :D
Now get some sleep
@haseebmirza2901 5.5hrs. Ok Nicola Tesla & Albert Enstein didn’t get sleep their minds are racing 24/7
Bring back Ready 2 Rumble.
Creed 3 was actually a pretty darn good movie too. Not the 90% it's gotten, but it's a solid boxing movie.
This is stupid stamina should not be a thing in a VR game. I understand that a stamina bar/meter when you play a game pad but with VR controls every player has their own natural stamina bar
You character still has elbows flared outside so you can't defend body shots with your elbows and need to use your gloves? I hated that in Creed, it's so unprofessional for a boxer and it forms a bad habit of lowering your hands and opening your face to block your body. Boxers don't do that that's how Tyron Woodley got knocked out by Jake Paul lol
1st comment!!!
Go away
Championship edition lags, has worse movement recognition, and the focus bags are just fucking broken.
As a former boxer, I’ve never found a boxing game I enjoyed.
I can see that. Most guitar players I know don't like Guitar Hero or Rock Band. They can't remove themselves from the real life activity enough to enjoy the game-ified version of it.
you need to get better at punching no offence g
THERE IT IS! I was waiting for the guy who was gonna critique my boxing lol :D
Having to use the stick to move is so stupid thrill of fight doesn't do this. Thrill of fight still beats this crap
You don't need to use the sticks to move in Creed. It's optional. But Thrill of the Fight will be great when it comes to PSVR2 and give Creed some real competition :D
Ouch another average overpriced tweaked port for psvr2 8/10? Seems way too high of a rating considering how expensive the game is to buy new.
Thrill of fight is best boxing game its a game u won't beat in couple of hours u have to actually box this is crap
That sucks you didn't enjoy your purchase
Ive had just about enough of this stamina bar shit ruining games in VR and making games less fun then they should be, its time we demand better from are games, fuck the stamina bar! I dont play games in VR to be more out of shape than I am in real life goddamnit!
8 for Creed PSVR2. OMG, that's so overrated.
