Sorry to disagree, boxes serve to guard product intact until reaching final customer, after that, except for very few people who are willing to keep them, they become trash, make product more expensive, harder to ship and get to destination in collecting condition. The bulkier, plasticy, inkier they are, the harder it is to recycle. It would be understandable if it was a luxury item or a collectors edition. This product is neither. Again, except for a handful out there. I am sure collectors who decided collecting Kz's know the company has said repeatedly their compromise is with environment. So if after that, they decided to collect, then all this is.. or ought to be in their minds.

I’m also among a few who don’t want fancy boxes and packaging. Most boxes are put away in closets or garages and eventually end up in trash bins. Watched videos of unboxing of Sony Z1R, and couldn’t believe the over the top box with drawers.

i believe KZ has turned over a new leaf since their DQ6S dud driver fiasco. i think people should stop hating when there's really nothing to hate. Yeah sure, KZ is the poster-boy for cheap, mass production, "quantity vs quality" chi-fi, but if there's one thing that cannot be denied it's that KZ opened the door for so many into the iem hobby, me included; KZ has contributed significantly to the growth of the iem hobby community. KZ made it affordable for the "average income" person to get into this hobby. Hate KZ for things they've done wrong, but acknowledge them for things they are doing right; and/or the things that they are trying to make right. And if we've been noticing recently, and even Akros has mentioned it in a couple of his recent KZ iem reviews, KZ has been making an effort to improve their tuning, they are now making an effort to "grow up". As well as they are now also more open to considering and listening to the opinions, suggestions, and critiques of the iem hobby community.
i got introduced to this hobby through the KZ AS16, and i know this set got a considerable amount of flack. Some valid, and some from wannabe "golden ears" whose criticisms are based not on their audio listening capability, but based off of what some audio reviewer said. I myself found the AS16 needing a bit more on the bass and sub-bass(and i don't think i had problems nor issues with the treble; but then again, i ain't got them "golden ears") so i just gave it a little eq adjustment and it's fine- for me at least. And i still do enjoy listening to it to this day(2nd only to my KZ ZAS- yes, i prefer a bit more umph and thumph).
But i've also wondered how the AS16 will evolve or progress, if at all. I actually thought it was going to be "one and done" for this set because of the amount of flack it got. And then KZ came out last year with the AS16 PRO as sort of a response to the critiques on the AS16. And that's when I got the feeling that KZ might not be done with the "AS" series yet.
And so now here we are...
To me, it appears that KZ took some of their qeues from their KZ AST(a 24-BA set- 12-units per side- released after the AS16). I think it is more likely that this could be the last in the AS series. I don't think there's enough room in an iem shell for an AS30(15 BA per side set); but then again, it's KZ, so who knows.
And after watching this review by Akros, yeah i think i'll be putting the AS24 in my bucket list. The next step, and most likely the final step, in the evolution of the AS series and the next step in the maturing process of KZ's tuning. Hopefully, i can also get this at 50% less just as when i got the AS16. (KZ price their iems much lower for the SE Asian market and would offer large discounts during special sale events on local on-line platforms).
Also, here's something i came to realize as i got more into this hobby(and started spending more than i should)...
i'm no professional audiophile and i sure heck don't make a living listening, critiquing, analyzing, and curating audio equipment and/or music. So i should not pretend and kid myself by "acting" like i'm one. I'm no Akros, I'm no Hi-Fri Audio, I'm no Chi-Fi Audio Reviews, I'm no Paul Wasaabii, I'm no Crinacle, I'm no Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews; and honestly, my ears cannot discern all of the technicalities and details they discuss, or at the very least, not on the same level that they can sense and perceive these things.
And that's how i got to begin to finally really enjoy this hobby, and how i stopped falling into that trap of that endless wild-goose chasing after that "end game" iem unicorn. That's how i got to stop feeding that insatiable "profit beast", that these businesses are(i hope you haven't forgotten that these iem companies are profit-driven and profit-oriented, first and foremost. Their goal is to keep you spending.).
I still enjoy listening to reviewers such as Akros-( one of my FAVORITE IEM REVIEWER). I enjoy watching the new stuff or tech or tuning that these brands are coming out with. I enjoy how these iems are being analyzed and picked apart technically and literally(props to Hi-Fri). But at the end of the day(or video), i can just go, "Yeah, cool interesting...", without having to look at my wallet and considering placing an order for that "latest and greatest" newfangled iem.
I stopped playing the part of the proverbial horse being led by a carrot on a stick to pull these companies' iem profit wagon.
This is how this hobby finally became really enjoyable for me.
In this hobby, you gotta make sure you don't end up losing your head trying to pleasure your ears.
Gotta make sure you keep that head screwed-on straight and screwed-on tight, always.
Akros sir, thank you very much for this very detailed review!
And as i have mentioned earlier, you are one of my favorite, and one of only 2 iem reviewers that i would regularly watch and listen to(weekly or whenever you have a new video up). The work you do, your insights, and opinions and whatnot, are very much appreciated.
I'll leave these things to you PROS.
    THANK YOU!!!

I definitely gave up on the IEM design and I'm going back to the beginnings and the bullet cable down design. Simply the design of the IEM is such that the body does not allow the nozzle to go deep into the ear to get the bass no matter how long it is. I finally realized that. That's why more and more they put some kind of tuning settings in the IEMs that look like a mini EQ because that's the only way they can get enough bass.I rest my case and i'm not a basshead guy at all i just want a full spectrum and i'm not gonna waste my money on IEM design anymore.
