I have seen about 10 of your reviews and reaally enjoy them and appriciate your attention to detail and the mutli comparisons betwwen so many IEM's. You have so many nice IEM cables. I will see if you have a video on cables. Thank you for your hard work!
I'll be patient this time. Knowing KZ, there would be a Pro, Max and Ultra coming out next month.
That may depend on how it performs in the market, but at this price KZ usually does well so I'm expecting it.

CVJ tuning is my favorite and what helped me understand that ultimately I don't like Harman tuning.
High pinna gain puts female vocals more in your face causing sibilance, fatigue and less 3D stage.
Those curves in the upper mids area are way more interesting than the so hyped Harman target and make the sound more pleasing and open, the vocals sound very lush too.
Waiting for your reviews of the Nami and Freedom and comparisons with the Mei, which I got after watching your video!
Harman is scientific. Nothing to do with hype. There's not much Harman truly matched iems in fact.
Basically you like how phantom center sounds, which is low fidelity and ultimately incorrect to what the mastering engineers intended the music to sound like.
There's a reason why there's an ear canal gain in Harman Target and its not to make vocals shouty, rather its a simulated response to what our ears will receive when listening to a flat speaker in a room. You can argue about 4-6kHz being too bright, cause that's adjusted through preference, same with the bass quantity.
It looks like to me that you are just following the trend of hating Harman just because some reviewer or "audiophiles" said it, its like you are writing this statement without any prior background on the said target whatsoever. You know what.. placeabo can really influence what you are hearing, you are specially sensitive to it cause you are circling yourself with reviewers such as this one.
Also if you ever heard a flat speaker in a room, you will realize how close is the Harman Target sound to such setup. I can vouch for it cause I have such setup.
@@Christopherpx Actually Harman was made for Headphones and even Harman is not too fond on using it for IEMS. Look into it. Can't remember who, maybe Crin, had an interview with the Harman guys.
@@xeruskun well I'm not that kind of person, I've tried different pair of iems with Harman tuning after buying them with MY OWN MONEY and without having prejudices about Harman of course because otherwise I wouldn't have spent the money.
The female vocals and some instruments with all those iems always sound too forward and in your face, fatiguing and often sibilant, in the end I'm not interested in listening to music that way.
I'm not a technician and never pretended to be one, that's just what I hear with the only pair of ears I own and what I perceive with my own brain, and that's the best way I can describe it.
You can like Harman, nothing wrong with that, what's wrong is judging someone else because they don't like it or because they don't share your opinion.
Now we can't even say we don't like Harman without being judged??

Agree. I'm addicted to EQ'ing my own sounds and now I've discovered auto-eq. I've auto EQ'd hundreds of IEMS. I go in and tweak the ones that don't quite auto tune correctly. It's incredible. I tend to like the ones that have a lot of curves :)

I think I"ve watched all of your reviews about 5 times each, lol. Attention to detail is on point! Wondering if you would consider reviewing a couple ultra budget IEMs. $5 each, TRN CS2, FZ Audio Liberty Z2. If you're feeling spendy there are 2-3 others for the same price which I don't own that would be awesome to get your take on. Would be a good few to do an ultra budget comparison video. I'm so impressed with these sets. The Z2 bass quality is insane, keeps up with the Rosefinch, just needs a bit more subbass eq'd. I was in shock. I compared it to the Hola and Sgor Venus, both of those have boomy bass where the Z2 and Rosefinch bring on the rumble and bounce. I'd be curious to know what driver they are using on the Z2. It's tuned with considerably less bass so it's become my daily driver. I use the Rosefinch for hip hop and edm. The CS2 keeps up with the Wan'er, Hola and Venus, but it has quite a bit more high end, the Hola having the least.
By the way we got the D-fi non switch, I was really excited but our set is not sounding anything like what the reviews say. It's bass is almost mushy and overpowering, too much midbass, unbalanced. The mids and highs don't shine. The volume is low. I tip rolled about 20 different tips and finally found a pair that opened up the sound, along with an amp, they sound great. That being said, they don't sound better than any of the other ones I mentioned here. Did we get a bad set or was I expecting too much? I've auto eq'd a few different graphed versions of the D-fi and ZVX, the auto EQ sounds much better without needing help.
I still need to test the bass on the Wan'er and D-fi to see if it it as good as the Rosefinch. I haven't modded it but I am using Auto EQ, my favorite being the HM20. It's also the eq I'm using to test the bass on all these sets. Again, just shocked that the Z2 keeps up. I expected that the D-fi could as well but I'm not so sure now. I"m gonna play around with it a bit if I can get the Z2s off my ears. I'm even sleeping in them. I have the KB 07s , using the yellow..
I Have tried EQing KZ EDX, 7Hz Zero and OG QKZ VK4. The VK4 is the only one to respond to EQ very well, i can change the sound signature with little distortion but after a few months the left side sounds quiet and when i boost the volume to match on the right side it sounds muffled. In your opinion, Is it because of EQ the driver failed?
@@nathanel7637 Driver. This just happened to my Venus. Not happy. They came with warranty so. We'll see. Would rather get my money back than replacement. They sounded good but CS2, with a bigger soundstage is just as good for $5. VENUS is better looking and better build, but driver broke with very little use. Would probably buy EDA set for $16 and sell the ones I don't want. I think those would EQ really nicely. Interesting that those sets didn't do well with auto EQ. Would have thought Zero would have been the best for EQ since it's the most neutral. Makes me wonder if the drivers for those sets just can't keep up. Do you fine tune the details? Especially the treble. Auto EQ can do some funny things with treble. I use other peoples measurements and even sub out the mt4 for z2 and mt1 for CS2 to get more variety. I'm ocd with details though so I spend way too much time getting each EQ sounding perfect. I want to get my IEMs measured, hopefully can save me some time. I do love EQing though, so satisfying when you hit the right tune!
@@someoneusa I only EQ bass response on 7Hz zero. It can only handle 2-3db bass boost. I tried EQ KZ EDX to QKZ x HBB bass but still it can only boost the bass by a bit. Only the OG QKZ VK4 managed to respond to EQ really well but after a few months the left driver died. Still waiting for Z2 to arrive and I purchased QKZ AK8 for $2 just to help keep me sane while waiting for the Z2 because the Z2 expected to arrive in October.

That's a tough one ... TFZ Tequila Pro has insane bass punch....but all depends on price.....D-fi no switch has really good punch, so does the Rosefinch from KBEAR.....all depends on what you want to spend.

I must have got one of the thousand dollar ones. I use spinfit 100 eartips and it sounds amazing. It compares to my s12 which is saying something.
which one beats the Tin Hifi T2? KZ D Fi or KZ Krila? for me the Tin Hifi T2 is a very neutral and airy headphone, an example of neutrality and technicalities... is one of these 2 KZ headphones better than the T2?

Seriously though, putting aside shady practices, I do think and stand by what I said concerning the Krila.
Its a very competent IEM.
I understand DMS was angry with such an approach and it made him perhaps be unnecessarily hard on the Krila.
We know that KZ likes to exaggerate but I believe if the payment offer hadn't been done and just the IEM sent to be reviewed, that he would have been a little nicer.
I think there is no need to use more than 1 driver per one region (bass, mids, treble) atleast u dont fall into problems of multiple drivers timing (especially on BAs that can be heard, haze/smearing)...

@@akros9333 I was worried about the BA thing because they somehow incorporated a hearing aid into an iem??? Was worried that it was either gonna sound too muffled (bass heavy) or just not fun at all. Might pick this one up, but I'm also worried about KZ pulling their shitty silent revisions.

Same. Their shells are extremely low quality and they flood the drivers with glue, which ultimately starts leaking out of the shells and make a gross mess.
don't know about their shells, but I've been using their Edx Pro since 2021, and so far, I haven't experienced any issues with construction or sound quality. I especially use them outdoors... but your mileage may vary.
I've the Krila and you complaining bout it not having more bass? Dude what the hell do you want? What are you talking bout. Krila already has a monstrous bass than Dfi which is satisfying me.
Can’t be, Krill’s bass is a step from non existence. There’s only a hint of it letting me know there’s a DD there but no this is far from being bass heavy.
