Jinhao 82 are such an addiction, it's so funny and enjoyable all the possible combinations you can do! Either trying to replicate Sailor combos or trying out your owns. It's like Legos all over again. Hope you have all the fun!
I absolutely adore this! It’s wonderfully made. It’s refreshing to see someone compare nib sizes across different pens, providing a reference that any fountain pen enthusiast is likely to have. The comparison isn’t limited to just one brand, which is fantastic. This approach really helps me grasp the actual thickness of the nibs. We need more videos like this one. I’m truly grateful, thank you so much.
I have plenty enough expensive fountain pens but I have to say that the Jinhao 82 is awesome to write with. I use it during my homework sessions. Thank you for sharing.
i love that tea color and the dark green with shimmer! Jinhao has really upped its game. They make GOOD pens for such good price. Ive been writing with them for more than 5yrs now. They do last long.
I saw where Sailor had a table at the SF or DC pen show letting people create their own Compass. It was pretty cool, but it was $75. I got some Jinhao pens from Temu.
It is so fun! And if you decide you want to have a whole rainbow of colors, the price is so inexpensive I feel like it would be possible for several people.
It's really funny. I was just thinking about it the whole weekend and wanted to do the home pen and the moroco mint tea too :D , and bum youtube suggests your video :D Thank you for your suggestions, they all look very nice :)
I have a lot of Jinhao 82s. Some need tuning but most haven't. Their line width is inconsistent. I am not really picky about that as long as ink flows beautifully.
Now I want to try this too & buy a lot of pens 😅😂🙈 But the fine you have looks so very fine! I’ve experienced that my fine pen writes with a broader line but maybe that’s because of which ink I’m using & how hard I press down the pen/nib when I write?
I've seen that their nibs may vary by pen. But ink does play into how bold it writes. I find that really "flowy" inks can make fine nibs more medium. For example, every time I use a DeAtramentis ink I get a broader line than when I use a Diamine. Hope that helps!
I have about seven or so of these. The first one i wrote with was a fine and for most of my fines, i am good. This one was too fine for me. I think it is meant to mimic the sailor pro gear fineness. At least i feel like all the writings of the pro gear slims their nibs are very fine
Thanks for the video. I have a Transparent Blue Jinhao 82 winging its way from AliExpress. I got a fine nib (I think) and I'm eager to see if it is as fine as yours.
How fun!! The ink consistency also may have played a part with the "fineness." Some inks are much wetter than others. Diamine is a happy medium for me :)
Oh I haven’t seen the cream coloured one before! Is that one called cream on the website or something else? I just saw that they’ve released Jinhao 82 mini pens too!! Have you seen that/tried one? I bought a 2-pack of Jinhao 82’s a good while back now (can’t remember when 😅), so I got one in EF & one in F & I really like them!
The "latte" colored one is called Milk Tea I think, and the "off white" one was called Ivory! I haven't tried the Mini but they look adorable haha. They are amazing for the price, honestly a great starter pen too.
So… I just ordered 15 of these in different colours! That’s enough combinations that I could make up a new pen combination every day for 2080 years, 5 months and 25 days! Or 15 unique pens every day for 138 years, 8 months and two weeks. Should keep me busy!
You have so much fun ahead of you!! I love how affordable these are and how fun they are to play with haha.

I adore this pen too. I have nearly 40 in almost all the colors they have.🤫 But I do prefer to grind them into architects and a few italics, but mostly architects since it is my favourite grind, and honest to god not one of them wrote good out of the box for me, all were scratchy and dry, but since I know how to fix nibs, that's not a problem for me.
Wow!! That is quite the collection :D I love that you grind your own nibs!! I want to do that someday too :) I saw several reviews of "bad starting" Jinhaos, and feel fortunate that the two I started inking up have been good so far! I do have some shims I may use if I get a bad one out of the bunch. Thank you for sharing!

@@mydandeliondiaries From UA-cam videos I learned how to fix the nibs and I'm glad I did, because bad nibs were what kept me in the cycle of buying mostly expensive pens, but now, ever since I learned to fix them I haven't bought a single non Chinese pen for the last year, because I prefer to write with the architects I made than with the Montblanc, Visconti, Pelikan, etc that I have. And also I'm planing to do some amateurish raden on some of the 82's. I saw someone on UA-cam and it looked really interesting.
There is lovely lady from the channel Cat Custom Crafts is making a fantastic customization on Jinhaos 82 with designs on it! Check her video about making Abalone design! It’s for the even more obsessed Jinhao lovers. 😄
Oh no! If you have a pen shop close to you I would see if they could take a look at them for you. They may have some tools to help repair them if the tines in the nib are misaligned.
I was on the fence about buying a jinhao 82 but after watching your video I i will take the plunge and buy a set being that they are so cheap. I liked your comparison between the nib sizes, I like the extra fine but seeing your comparison would make me buy a fine set and an extra fine set. From the looks of it the Diamine onyx black ink looked like you were writing with gel pen. What paper did you use to write on? It looked pretty smooth when you writing. Was the fine nib scratchy?

I love that you compared it to legos!! This comment made me smile so big :) Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it 🥰
I have plenty enough expensive fountain pens but I have to say that the Jinhao 82 is awesome to write with. I use it during my homework sessions. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice! I think they would be perfect school pens. Very portable and I wouldn't worry about losing it on accident!
Watching your wonderful video and looking at my 32 Jinhao 82 😄 Such a joy to play with them!
Yes!! They are so fun :)
Just grabbed two 82s for me and my mom and wanted to see a simple review, but what I got is much much better! Props for the creativity!
Hahah enjoy your new pens!! 🥰 I hope you like playing around with them
So fun! I have a few pastel 82s that I switched parts on! And now I want some more fall vibe color 82s! The fude nib is really fun!
Awesome! I'm going to hunt down a fuede nib one of these days haha
Pilot should take note. Jinhao converters fill right up.
With Pilot you can't get more than a half fill no matter how hard you try
Yeah....haha I use a syringe to fill my pilot pens because I just get annoyed 😂
Good to know it’s not just me.
I love coffee latte combo!! Honestly, they are all so fun though!!
Thank you!! I highly recommend if you want to play around with them :)

I totally agree!
I was expecting a typical jinhao fountain pen review but this one is wild 😂
Hahahah these pens are so fun!
Awesome video! You seem so excited, and that is very contagious.
I was! When you find very affordable pens that are pretty too it's a good day haha
@@mydandeliondiaries And thanks to your video, I bought one too. I'm planning to get multiple for my mom- she also got into fountain pens through me!
Great channel! I've just subscribed. I love the 82s. My favorite pocket pen is a really smooth Pilot e95s
Thank you! I have the E95S on my wishlist! I love my pocket pens :)
I saw where Sailor had a table at the SF or DC pen show letting people create their own Compass. It was pretty cool, but it was $75. I got some Jinhao pens from Temu.
That is really cool! I haven't been on Temu but I'm glad to see there is more places to get them :)
Reminds me of swatches, from back in the day. (interchangeable watches)
I love this so much!! The nostalgia XD
oooooh! I haven't even watched the video but I'm guessing this is mixing and matching jinhao 82 parts and I *love* doing that with mine 💚
It is! They are the ultimate flexible pen in terms of colors in my opinion :)
You should also try the Jinhao 82 minis!
Mini's would be so cute! Not sure if they would be too small for my hands though... 😅
I love that we can build our pens to suit whatever our current vibe is!
It is so fun! And if you decide you want to have a whole rainbow of colors, the price is so inexpensive I feel like it would be possible for several people.

Oooo I need to look at the colors again for the new Tea pens because now I want to build those too haha XD
There are four 82s on the way, and now I want to buy even more =)
They are very addictive!! And for the price it is fun to have a bunch of them haha
I have the Milk Tea in EF! Thank you for showing how the F nib looks like. I've always been curious about the nib side :)
It's so good! I'm tempted to get an EF to compare now too :)
Is it thinner than the video's fine nib? Waiting for my EF and hoping I made the right decision 😅
I have a lot of Jinhao 82s. Some need tuning but most haven't. Their line width is inconsistent. I am not really picky about that as long as ink flows beautifully.
That is good to know! I have heard similar things from other reviews too :)
Definitely love how affordable it is to play around! But the quality is different - totally cracked a bottom piece of mine already LOL
Oh no! I haven't had mine long enough to crack it yet, but I did do that to a TWISBI of mine. You do get what you pay for!
Oh dear. Now I need to go buy a bunch of these. I thought I was done buying pens for the year. Shhhh....I'm doing it!
*whispers* I won't tell anyone ;) Enjoy your fun new pens!
FRP 5.5 nibs are great fit too so you can play with their nibs :)
Thank you so much for sharing!! I will look into that :)
Hey! I was just wondering if the Nibs and Feed can detach in order to attach other nib types? Thanks! ✨
The nib unit comes out yes, but the nib doesn't seem to detach from the feed. Hopefully the helps!

You have a good point! They may have mimicked the nib to go along with the pen body style.
what ink is in your TWSBI Eco? The wine colored one above it is also super pretty
Thank you! The TWISBI has Robert Oster Summer Storm and the other ink is just a pilot brown cartridge 😊
Have you compared the 82 to the 992?? Interested to see what you think.
I haven't but from appearance it looks similar to a Sailor 1911. Just can't tell size!
Thanks for the video. I have a Transparent Blue Jinhao 82 winging its way from AliExpress. I got a fine nib (I think) and I'm eager to see if it is as fine as yours.

Mines are too scratchy. It’s the most scratchiest pens I own. 😢

Have you moved onto lightsabers yet?
Hahah no. 😂

They are great affordable pens! The paper is Tomoe River (the original). I found the fine nib smooth but not buttery smooth. It was not scratchy!
