LOL! I bought 16 Jinhao 82's to test a box of ink samples I had. I considered all these pens disposable since they were like $3 each. I didn't even count them in my collection of fountain pens. Then I stumbled upon your video and another woman doing the same thing. So now I'm sitting here taking them apart and mixing the parts. They're like whole new Fountain pens now. Who knew changing the look would make such a difference! Thanks!
Yeah, I don't know if mine is ever going to happen. Seems impossible to get to 500 subs, but I am holding out hope! I don't need to go higher, I just want to attain that one weird number.
I also have a small obsession with these pens!! Sometimes they write a bit dry for my tastes so they require wetter inks. Love the look of them and the price is ah--mazing!
@@cerealnana thank you for saying that! ☺️☺️☺️ yes! I’ll have to.. now to see how long it takes for them to get here… I try to be patient, but it’s not easy! 🖋💗🙌🏻
Oh no, I see many more Jinhao 82s to add to my one I just got. I commented to my wife that it was like Lego with pens and then you put that up on the screen too😂 It just looks like so much fun to play with!
I may have accidentally just got a 9109. I already had two X159's that were gifted to me. I like those big pens but they do not fit in my pen loops! What colour 9109 did you go for?
@@cerealnana I got the wine color. (a clear one is on the way) I will say that my nib was not very good. Think I just got a bad one. Felt really scratchy and skipped a lot. I just ordered replacement nibs for them. I'm hoping that fixes the issue.
I just got my second set and mixed those. But I gotta say I had the hardest time with the cap finials. They seemed to get cross threaded easily. For several minutes I thought I just wasted $20! But then they finally came together enough. I also saw on Amazon that nibs could be purchased too. And that was a challenge too. If you take the collar off then the nib separated from the feed and I didn’t know how they were supposed to line up and then how to hold them tether just so and get them shoved in far enough. What am I doing wrong?
I am so sorry for the delay answering this! I wasn't notified of this message. You do not need to pull the nib and feed out. It should twist out by holding onto the nib and twisting the section. You have to disconnect the converter first(can't tell you how many times I forget this!). Good luck!
@@AngellaAvenue I was talking about me! Good to know I am not the only one. I am going to use that phrase from now on. Sounds much better than the word lose.
Great hoard. I have five so far, but I’m seriously considering picking up some more. Are you aware that the bottom part of the cap also unscrews? It can be a little tight and hard to loosen initially, but it’s definitely threaded and designed to unscrew. Franken-pen potential is limitless. 😄
Haven't fallen down this hole yet but I do have the navy, grey, white, clear, mustard yellow and avocado green in my wish list😂 Like the lego for pen nerds idea!
I have managed to accumulate 24 of them - don‘t know how that happened… 😂 Some of them aren‘t even filled yet. I have 2 fude nibs coming my way, curious to try them out. Don‘t much care for the fine nibs, I like the mediums better, but they‘re all just tiny little steel nibs, of course - not really anything like a Sailor gold nib imho. 😊
Such fun pens. I was late to the Jinhao 82 party but really enjoying my 3 pens, though I wish the Medium nibs were more juicy. I bought mine "pre-mixed" in configurations that I quite liked already. My only Sailor is a Compass 1911 and the MF nib is just too fine for my taste. One day I'd like to try some legit gold nib Sailors, but I'm also afraid I might really like them, and those pens are just too far out of my price range. So, for now, I'm really loving these 82s :)

@@dollhouse909 so much fun!
I bought three to include in my giveaway. But LOL. That's still not happening because I'm moving at snail's pace.

I noticed that recently. I put one of my drier inks in a medium and it was just not gonna happen!
I had resisted for quite some time, but just ordered my first bunch yesterday… very curious! Thanks for the fun video! 🖋🌸💌
I hope you do a video!

Omg 😱 that looks like so much fun! I totally understand why you like to tinker with them, it can suit whatever mood you get into.
I'm loving the sparkly nude one!
This is such a fun video. Makes me want to get some 82s and do some mixing and matching of my own.
I double-dog-dare you to do it!

It's great that you can easily swap parts around with these pens! It's half the fun lol...
It really is!
I wish that gray came in medium, can’t seem to find one.
You can swap the nibs easily if you find a medium in another colour. Then just penable someone with the other!
@@cerealnana brilliant plan!
Ok this immediately got me thinking about combinations!! How fun!!!
Do you have any yet?
I made a pumpkin latte pen with the translucent orange, sparkly brown, and cream!!
I have several and several more on the way 😆 I also have a 159x and 9109 on the way. They are bigger, so wanted to try them out.

You need a goulet grip or a piece of rubber to wrap around the nib to give it a good firm yank to get it out :) hope that helps
I'm trying to find where I put my goulet grip. It is in the vortex!
I bought two more 82s, I only have 4 currently. 😊
It is a slippery slope, watch out!
@@cerealnana I concur!
I have not yet fallen down that rabbit hole, but I feel strongly nudged by you 😁
Totally happy to send you one!
@@cerealnana that is so nice of you, but I actually have two on their way to me right now, so no need 🤭
Hoard is such a good description for my own collection. So cheap but also effective (in my experience) and I can test out different nib sizes etc.
You also don't have to worry about carrying them out of the house if you are prone to losing things.
@@cerealnana And indeed I am prone to unintentional gifting. How did you know? Lol.

If they made them with a matte finish I would go broke!
