Steve is the best his Chicago area shop is INSANE.
I took my phonics series drums to my last gig. I ended up at the chiropractor, and on steroids for a month.

The Sonor tom suspension system also has a knob at it's base so you can, let the drum fully float on the mount or tighten it to reduce sustain. Maybe Steve is not aware of this. Its can also ne optioined with coated heads.
Sonor is king.

Shipping a bop kit with those heads is criminal for Sonor hahaha great looking drums though
