Your video scared me to death at 6:10 with the tornado siren. It's midnight here and thunderstorming in southwest ohio. Had to rewind and rewatch to make sure it was on the video and not outside. Made my heart jump. I just bought the same trimmer and can't wait to use it.
@Ramathorn FPV - I must be going deaf' I could barely hear it. I think you could hear a mouse Fart my friend. Maybe I should have had a Battery Trimmer years ago, I may still hear.
I just put the Husqvarna T35 head on mine. It did add a bit of weight to it, but it cuts so nice and it’s less noisy. It seems like the T35 was made to be on this Dewalt trimmer. 👍🏻👍🏻
I had my handle turned around the opposite way, like they show in the photos and when I changed the head to the Husqvarna I turned the handle around like yours and it’s so much more comfortable this way! 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey, would You mind explaining what You Mean by that . I just noticed a Guy commenting that by turning the head a certain way, it made edging so much more comfortable. So I'm like what am l not seeing If You wouldn't mind.. Thank You Very much.
@@keithmcmullen9737 I was talking about the foam mid handle. Instead of the foam handle angled down towards the head, I turned it around so it’s angled towards the battery. If you look at the foam handle in this video it’s angled towards the battery. Every other photo that I’ve seen they have the foam handle angled towards the head. Hope this helps, if not I will try to explain it a different way.
Hello everyone,, I bought the same in 18 v and after 2 uses of which 1 in speed hight for 40 min the engine no longer works properly. I have the impression that it has heated up and that it does not go up in the towers anymore. Do you have a solution?🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
can you get the the end of the weed wacker wet like sprayed off with a hose with those vents down at the string portion. by the way I agree about not enough power in the wetter grass. I have a relatively small yard but I had some really tall moist grass and it struggled a little bit. . 🙄
I just bought one from HD because I saw it on IG for sale for only 99.00. I came on here to see if the rattling noise was normal I can’t believe I’m watching the video from the same persons IG page I saw the string trimmer on. Thanks Toolboss. De Walt should send u a kick back.
How do you extend the cord when it wears down? The owners manual says you bump it on the ground and it extends automatically. Thats a fail. I took it off and the cord is not factory wound in a way to automatically feed. Its over lapped. I had to manually unwrap one revolution off each side and re-thread, which leaves the cord about an inch too long and it hit the guard. So I cut that inch off each side to make it fit. Am I missing something? Pleas demonstrate how to extend the cord when it wears down please. Aloha
Great tool, have a question will the flexvolt 9ah fit in this??? Have a 4ah and the runtime is only 15 mins not impressed some reviews say 30 to 45 mins BS. I'm going to get a 9ah or 12ah but they are too tall to fit in blower so I'm hoping it will fit in weed trimmer
Thanks for the review. I was looking at the DeWalt 40v Max trimmer - have you tested that one? A bit on the heavy side. Interesting to see the lower voltage units holding their own. I think Milwaukee may be closing in on the sweet spot with their upcoming 18v trimmer that appears to have massive power and long run time in a unit that's less than 10 pounds with battery. I'd like to see more brands doing this. The high voltage units are getting way too heavy and suffer in run times, just for the high number on the voltage meter, but these guys are showing that lower voltage units can be optimized for the sweet spot.
+Scott Blanchard yea Scott ...if you read some of comments and I also mention in video that the 40v is very heavy ...yea when it comes to power,,no one will ever match Milwaukee....the new line looks amazing but is guna be triple the price
The 40w dewalt is already $250 with 4ah battery. I can't see Milwaukee's 18v string trimmer fetching 3x that. I think it will be under $300 to hit the target market.
+Scott Blanchard I was talking about the 20v platform...the 199$ dewalt kit ..so 3x is $600 ...this Milwaukee line is not made for the homeowner Scott ...it's made for the professional...so the $600 price range ain't that crazy ...
Just bought one and was on low power setting and got 12 mins of use in light grass, maybe battery wasn't fully charged, wasn't impressed. Left it plugged in for 12hrs this time. Guy at Home Depot said 4hrs of use on charge BS. Battery is 4amp that came with it. Good unit other than this
@@bomtez9806 I tried the charge the second time for 12 hrs after running it down and taped trigger on weed eater on low and it ran 67 mins. The manual doesn't say how to charge properly to get the most out of battery and that it builds memory.

Thanks brother...still works like a champ ..tho I don't use it as much now ..big set back was the 13" swath .. wouldn't be a big deal but can't take guard off ...the Milwaukee is 16" and you can take cover off ...I use Milwaukee commercially at 18" or so 👍

How long dos the motor last
Is your trimmer still holding up? I've read reviews about the motors burning up.

so simple bro ..just wrap it around ..stick in holes close it up and your ready to rock

How long did your 5Ah and 3Ah batteries last. I have 2 batteries that are not XR 3Ah, do you have any idea how long the charge can last ?. Thank you.
