Dave, good information. I have a “Suckit” dust boot which works quite similarly. I use tape and super glue so I haven’t run into problems with clamps getting in the way.

Slotted holes and thumb screws on the mount would allow for quick height adjustment. Or, attach it with magnets like the brush holder is. Overall, it looks like a nice machine.
Thanks for watching Bill. It is a great machine. Thumb screws might work if they're small enough. There's not a lot of room for a large head screw. Magnets won't work with aluminum.
Yes, but I would attach a thin steel strip to either side of the Z carriage for the magnets to attach to.
I like the idea. How does the air blowing out the bottom of that style of router play along with that? Does it ever lift out enough to start blowing dust around?

That machine does suck! It seems to me that the housing-hitting the clamps problem could be solved by using a 1" or 1 1/2" longer brush. From where I am sitting, it looks like that would be simple to do. I like the idea of it not moving with the router!
Thanks for watching Dennis. The problem with making the brushes too long is the vacuum will pull them into the router bit. This design will work great with the painter's tape/CA glue method or even a wedge clamp method.
@@DaveGatton I'm using a 3" brush on my shoe with no vacuum pulling into the bit. Your vac is probably stronger than mine.
