      Will Luke Keuchly make it to the Hall of Fame? He made it to the Pro Bowl every year except for his rookie season, and to make up for that he won defensive rookie of the year. He won defensive player of the year in his second season in the league. That’s insane! This man was the face of the Panthers defense. After Cam Newton, this man was the face of the Carolina Panthers. The argument going against him is just like Andrew Luck, he retired at a young age.

    One of my favorite Luke plays was in a preseason game against the Patriots. Luke saw something and changed the defense, Brady noticed that and changed the play, Luke watched that and changed the defense *again*, Brady paused for a moment and then called a timeout. May have been preseason but both of them were playing like it wasn't.
    I'm gonna miss that man on the field, but I'm glad he's doing what's best for himself.

      HOF yes, first ballot no. The HOF is both about the greatness of the player, and individual achievements. While Luke at his peak prime, may have been as good as the likes of Jack Lambert, Ray Lewis, Mike Singletary or other notable MLB's, his relatively short career I believe disqualifies him as a first ballot inductee. It is the totality of the career, and not just peak prime. The same case for Rob Gronkowski. If anything, Luke's trajectory to the HOF would be similar to Patrick Willis, who at his peak was unanimously considered the best off-ball LB and has just as many individual accolades.

    • @shanepringle
      @shanepringle 5 років тому +2

      @@MAJ0ROCEL0T In his peak prime, LK was better than Wagz. But LK started to tail off in the second half of the 2016 seasons, and has never quite been the same physically. It is at that point, Wagz surpassed him. I am a fan of both teams and I have honestly watched almost of their games, like 95% of them. I had to argue on both sides, when LK was the best in the league, and when Wagz surpassed him to each fan base. In terms of historical greatness, if Wagz plays 3 or more seasons, he is going to go down as the best of the era because of the longevity. Would you rather have 4 seasons of maybe the best ever, or 8 seasons of still great, but not quite the best?

    Luke has more tackles, tackles for losses, interceptions, forced fumbles, pass defenses, and touchdowns than Bobby. Luke is also one of 2 players ever to win DPOY & DROY in their first 2 seasons. He has more pro bowls as well as more 1st team all-pro nods. How/Why people think Wagner belongs in the same breathe as Luke is beyond me.

    • @T3rminata
      @T3rminata 5 років тому +6

      NFL awards are media and fan awards. The reason why Wagner is considered better than Kuechly because over the course of the last 3-4 years around the time that Seattle put more on his shoulders instead of L.O.B Wagner has been literally shattering PFF records in tackles. He has more interceptions than touchdowns given up. one of 6 players to ever do that so far. Kuechly isn't one of them. They literally have him as one of the best run defenders of this generation. Exact words they've said. Also hes the only off ball linebacker to record three consecutive single-season pass-rushing grades of 85.0 or more(Wagner 91.0 past 3 years). pass rush win rate of 27% Kuechly 15%. He's also the 1st and 2nd place record holder for most consecutive tackles without a miss. Last year he was 1st in coverage grade, run defense grade and overall grade. And his career isn't over. So I hope that clears why people put Wagner in the same breathe as Kuechly. Don't be disrespectful.

They aren't Literally only Seahawk fans. They get paid to do specifically this shit. It doesn't matter what anyone says anyways hawk fans or whoever. Thats why pff does what they do. As a Panthers fan, his retirement made me cry but at the same time, he made a great choice for himself. He is definitely an iconic player from the 2010s and an iconic Panthers player. Carolina not only needs to retire his number, but Thomas Davis's number as well. Both formed such a scary linebacker duo and it was fun watching both players make plays every game and every season. Luke said after he retired he was open for coaching jobs. Honestly being a Panthers fan, Carolina should give him a coaching job and what I would love to see from Kuechly is him becoming a linebackers coach to defensive coordinator, a helluva defensive coordinator. And if he could make a special type of defense (like Dick LeBeau, Tony Dungy, etc.), then that would for sure add to his HOF resume. But that's just me talking. All love goes to Luke.
