@@watersports1381 not in terms of graphics it’s not. This game was made on RE engine, not MT Framework. The Switch version looks worse than games made on MT on the PS3. If MH World can look as good as it did on MT Framework, RE should be able to put it in the water, but they made Rise with and only with the Switch in mind. The Switch specs are barely better than a PS3 or XBOX 360. Nintendo hasn’t worked on advanced hardware since the GameCube. The Wii was meh, DS was meh, WiiU was a flop, 3DS was okay, and the Switch shouldn’t even be called “current gen” when it runs PS3 level specs

That means the potential for games that look as good as MGS4. Just wish Nintendo would increase the Tegras CPU frequency to 1.4GHz docked, the chip and Switch can handle that and would significantly improve quite a few existing titles.

One area Switch is weaker compared to PS3 is in system bandwidth, 25.6GB/s, while PS3 is up to 307.2GB/s... yeah... potentially 1100% more bandwidth in the PS3. I'd love to see a petition or something to try and force Nintendo's hand that allows devs to specify their own CPU frequency within the X1 spec but it's about finding a few places where such a petition would gain momentum and notoriety.

The fact that there's no real difference outside of framerate is bothersome. Not only that, but there's no cross play, meaning that the majority of the community is gonna be on Switch. Not only THAT, but the people that're gonna be buying this on PS are gonna be 5th gen hunters. I've nothing against helping newer players (as it's basically customary to power level new players to help them over skill creep), but... Not as the ENTIRE experience.

The dumbed down graphics would explain the feeling of it being "meant to be a Nintendo game" I have been with the series since the first game. I imported the sequel and played all of the PSP games, and even the Japanese only PS3 HD port of MH Portable 3rd. It will always be a Playstation series to me, but I love that players on other platforms are able to enjoy the series.

I am very surprised how good the switch version looks, it has no visible differences with the playstation version except for the framerate. It is incredible that switch can move those graphics

You should rotate the camera more in parts, maybe have a character stand still and rotate camera around to better show the fps difference. FPS is only seen in a big way in fast movement. Here you are mostly running in one direction which keeps the fps difference minimal though still noticible.
I like that because of the switches less power they leaned into more of the classic a little cartoon aesthetic of monster hunter, and the ps4/5 lean into more of a little dim, realistic, modern monster hunter. With this its just a style preference. Neither has "bad" graphic

Polish a turd however you want and it will still be a turd, just a bit more shiny. Gameplay's good though, and that's the game's strong point.
Not sure about the loading times of the PS5 but I love how fast I can play on the Switch. On PS4 I alwatlys have to wait 1 hour for updates and 20 minutes for loading screens.
Higher framerate is always nice.... but switch is portable and i think that wins out nearly every time for me. Switch is also that bit easier to rest and start from where you stopped

En todas las plataformas al principio solo para Switch y luego PC que ya tiene su DLC " Sunbreak " y ahora en Xbox One , S y X, en PlayStation 4 y 5 el juego base con su actu 3.0 pero sin expansión demomento hasta primavera del 2023 que vendrá el DLC con todo lo que vayan sacando hasta la fecha ( actus. Sets de armadura, misiones extra, etc ) que básicamente en PC y demás consolas es un Port de Switch por eso no llega a la calidad gráfica del Monster Hunter World pero es no quiere decir que sea mal juego.

crazy how the Switch is nearly 7 years old and its some how still just about keeping up with none portable latest gen consoles. Yeah, this might be the best example and we know its defo of age now but its still putting out some very good games! Think about the days when the ps2 was out. The handheld at the time was the Gameboy advance which was essentially a SNES in terms of graphics, not even a ps1!

On default resolution scaling is on 75% try 125 then its close to to the pc version.

Higher framerate is always nice.... but switch is portable and i think that wins out nearly every time for me. Switch is also that bit easier to rest and start from where you stopped
Not to mention that I bet the MAJORITY of the community multiplayer scene is on Switch. That's a huge factor that people need to consider.
Same, this game isn't one of those games where I would dedicate 100%l attention to. I'd rather binge-watch some TV show on the couch while playing this on the switch .

En todas las plataformas al principio solo para Switch y luego PC que ya tiene su DLC " Sunbreak " y ahora en Xbox One , S y X, en PlayStation 4 y 5 el juego base con su actu 3.0 pero sin expansión demomento hasta primavera del 2023 que vendrá el DLC con todo lo que vayan sacando hasta la fecha ( actus. Sets de armadura, misiones extra, etc ) que básicamente en PC y demás consolas es un Port de Switch por eso no llega a la calidad gráfica del Monster Hunter World pero es no quiere decir que sea mal juego.

Are you really that blind, the switch version looks like a ps2 game with the brightness turned all the way up and saturation turned all the way down, not to mention ps5 version is more than twice the resolution, 4x the framerate

@Sunset the Cat and the thing is that ps4 can definitely run the game 60fps, there mods that allow the switch to run it 60fps so the ps4 can certainly do it by default.

crazy how the Switch is nearly 7 years old and its some how still just about keeping up with none portable latest gen consoles. Yeah, this might be the best example and we know its defo of age now but its still putting out some very good games! Think about the days when the ps2 was out. The handheld at the time was the Gameboy advance which was essentially a SNES in terms of graphics, not even a ps1!

This is a port of a Switch game (massively hampered down) to the PS5 and Series X. Had it been ported from PS5 to Switch then you can shout "Impressive!!" But all it demonstrates is the Switch systems clear lack of power especially compared to the far more dense version of World and Iceborne...

I played for hundreds of hours on switch,and I hated it every second, as much as i love the game.
The images on my 4k TV was blurry as hell, i could count dark pixel from shadows on character models.
