- Can We Survive Indiana Jones Greatest Stunts? | Movie vs Reality
We challenged ourselves to Indiana Jones Greatest Stunts from Raiders of the Last Ark and the Last Crusade. The truck drag, the bull whip combos and using the bull whip on the bad guys. How hard is it? Real hard. But then again, it's Indiana Jones.

As an actual Archaeologist, I can confirm we have to do ALL this and more in the undergraduate part of the course.
Did as many archeologists get into it because of Indy as I want to believe? 😂
@@J_Dellarosa A few, and you can tell them on sites because they wear the same sort of hat
* I get the impression that Indiana Jones was more of a "treasure hunter" rather than an archaeologist. Even though, his PhD was in "archaeology" itself(with no specialization). I think that means that he focused on the archaeological methods, techniques and scientific approach to excavating a sight, and the archaeological procedure to plan and conduct an expedition, but we see him excavate a sight about zero times, and his expeditions seem a little bit half-cocked, like a "treasure hunter", but then he wouldn't have these fantastical adventures. It's just a good thing he prefers to sell the artifacts he obtains to museums, rather than private collectors. Good thing he takes photos, and documents everything.
@@AlexKnight009 Back in the 30's and before that though, by and large Archaeologists were more "treasure hunters" or as they're known "Antiquarians" instead of what people today consider Archaeologists. :)
@@kennethmacgregor-Gregorach * Interesting, and that's a good point too. According to the tv show and the novels, his schooling is a bit off too. They tell us that Indiana Jones dropped out of high school on April 21st, 1916. Then began working on his G.E.D. in January of 1919. That September he begins attending the University of Chicago, majoring in "Linguistics". Then, he applies at the University of Paris, but his admittance is almost denied because of some shenanigans in May of 1920.
* He leaves Marion to attend the Sorbonne in September of 1920, switching his major to archaeology. His credits transfer over. He and Marion have a long distance relationship. According to the novels, he was going to specialize in ancient Greece, as surprising as that is. This is around the time he becomes friends with a classmate named "Rene Belloq". If I understand this correctly, he got his Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology in 1923, his Masters in 1924, and his Ph.D. in 1925, and became a college professor, like, right after that.
* Although, Belloq stole his first thesis, as it turns out, Indy's 2nd thesis was even better than his 1st one. I don't know. Does any of that even seem feasible to you for that time period, or does all of that sound completely ludicrous? They really shy away from giving us details on his college years, other than the fact that he was on the Sorbonne boxing team, and was pretty damn good at it too.
Brandon's Sean Con impression is so spot on and hilarious 😂
Real
??? Scene?????
This is incredible. Y’all made an unreasonably sick video. HAT’S OFF. 🤠
Thank you Garrett! This was one of the most fun videos we've done in a long time. We'd love to do another one but it'd be quite a task building that 800lb boulder. 😄
Best cosplay ever, BUFF JONES
Props to Vic Amstrong for doing all those crazy stunts in the original trilogy!
Terry Leonard was the guy that went under the truck ..
@@M-113is it Vic being dragged?
Terry dragged behind the truck too
Of course his names Armstrong lol
Harrison Ford did some of the stunts himself. (Including being dragged by the truck)
This was so much fun! Loved the ending. Laughed at Brandon's "You call this archeology?"
OMG.
Them talking seriously while dressed as Sean Connery and Junior is hilarious
Both of you seriously made the climb on the truck?! You rock!
Thanks Benny. It was one of those "we made it this far, we can't quit now" moments. Although our elbows and forearms will probably never be the same.
@@buffdudes Hope that was worth it! Going to see the movie next week, will have you in my mind there :)
Awesome hope you enjoy it!
The most impressive bit is if they did it the way it was in the movie it would have been way easier. It looked like double the length
Your costume game has reached level 9000. Perfect!!
Actually...it's over 9000! 😂
@@Pendragon667 true that 😆
Could be better
This is one of yall's best episodes yet! I'm a huge Indiana Jones Fan ever since my dad played Raiders of The Lost Ark when I was a kid. Brandon, your Henry Jones Sr accent is spot on!
I KNEW the 'three challenges of such lethal cunning' line would be in there!
We put it in there after you suggested it! 💪
@@buffdudes no you didn't! But thanks for saying hahaha!
You guys deserve 10M subscribers! The quality, the production, the dedication to exceptional content is such a pleasure to watch.
Given your passion for film and production , it'd be great to see a collaboration with the corridor crew 😊
Until today I had never heard "drug" used as the past participle of the verb "drag". You've taught me that too.
That's awesome Oliver. And thank you! Funny enough, we have done some Corridor collabs! Here is one: ua-cam.com/video/eiaqhgRFtRM/v-deo.html
Brandon as Indy's dad is pure gold. Loved it!
Your creativity never ceases to amaze! Awesome! Please never skip content day
Thanks Stuart!
Now Brandon and Hudson know just how hardcore Yakima Canutt (who pioneered the stunt with stagecoaches) and Terry Leanord (stuntman for Raiders) were
So cool that you guys perfectly captured the sounds of that whip… They’re pretty much as iconic as Indy’s hat!
That first stunt actually got me scared for you guys, there's so many things that could go wrong there :D
Hudson and Brandon pulling themselves up the truck are better stunts than anything we're likely to see in Dial of Destiny!
Wait for it!
@@mo_bi_wan80s37 can confirm
If you have been with this franchise through your life you will appreciate what they did in the DoD. It closes the franchise it the best way possible.
@@ChrizRockster Said literally no one who has grown up with this franchise. Except maybe Kathleen Kennedy.
@@dustyoldhatit was a good closer, I grew up with it as well. Everyone just needs something to complain about because they all think it should’ve been on the same level as lost ark. People need to grow up and realize while it wasn’t the best film it was a solid closer and Harrison ford and everyone on the team did a great job portraying it. The first hour was practically identical to an original Indy film.
Dude, what an awesome idea for a video! Love these guys
Owww, those whip-marks looked painful. Great video!!
Thank you! Yes, they were a great reminder to be careful with that thing.
This video needs more views! It’s amazing! 🤠
Thanks Buff Dudes. At least this way we can still have the nostalgia of the Indiana Jones movies.
I really miss "gym crimes" videos lol. Another great video guys. ❤️💪 Thank you for your time and dedication
We'd love to do some more, but I think we covered just about every gym criminal in existence. 😆
YESSSS
You guys seriously just made my day with this. You guys have some pretty legitimate costumes too!
This is fire 😂, Love the content ❤
I love the way the clothing looks after the dragging. Can't beat actually doing the stunt for real.
I feel like this was made as much to dress up and do Jones Jr & Sr impressions as it was to recreate the stunts, and I totally approve and relate xD
My favourite film series of all time.
I was just hoping Henry Jones Sr would quote his Charlemagne - "Let my armies be the rocks, and the trees, and the birds in the sky."
Great video you guys! The fact that you did all these stunts is amazing. The trilogy had crazy stunts
This was great! Rip Sir Sean Connery a real Buff legend!
Underrated that they have accurate as heck gear/costumes.
Love Hudson’s Indy look cosplay and Brandon as Sean Connery’ legendary character! Awesome
Loved it! definitely could watch more of these in character, being dragged behind a truck was one of the most memorable but i bet there's plenty more that could be replicated in Buff Dude style.
More entertaining than Indiana jones dial of disaster good work hope this blows up so Kathleen can be angry 🔥👍
DUDE!!!This is amazing!!! The outfits are perfect!! Hudson as indy is awesome! If they make a reboot hudson should be indy (LOL) 😆
Love you guys! So funny and so real!
Absolutely nailed that Cairo crack. Well done.
My childhood comes rushing back to me. Love it !
ahhh!!! it's the summer of indy! seeing you dudes do raiders stunts/workout made me so happy cheers!
That was awesome guys and fun to watch keep up the great work thanks
The last crusade is one of my fav movies from my childhood
I rarely comment on other people's post but as a huge Indiana Jones fan I had to. Brilliant work here. Love it!!!! Great job guys!!
I love how the other guy dresses like Marcus Broady. Seriously underrated character. And if I’m wrong that could also be Belloq
This was so great! I felt like i was watching Mythbusters from my teen years. That Cairo crack was ridiculously badass!! 👏
Been watching you since June '13... Our 10th anniversary, dudes! Haha! Have a great day!
That's amazing, thanks for sticking with us Petr!
@@hudsonpro You Dudes and RedLetterMedia, you're my UA-cam OGs. 👍🏼❤️
Wildly impressive
Love Indiana Jones. That truck drag was impressive and looked painful. Nice job. Whips are a fun weapon. I highly recommend if you try it to wear a leather jacket and eye protection. I've seen trainers use a motorcycle helmet for teaching. When I first practiced with a whip, I used the helmet. Believe me those misses hit that helmet and I was glad it wasn't my face.
AHHHHHH. !!! LOL ! Great video guys ...
Man this was awesome to watch. These scenes are iconic. ^^
Ok this is my favorite yet!!
This was a cool idea for a video. Build-wise, the guy playing Indy resembles the original concept art by Jim Steranko, where Indy was more muscular.
It really gives you a deeper appreciation for what stunt people do.
Your latest videos are perfect. Summer time is your time! ☀️😎 STAY BUFF!!! YEAHHH 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Loved this! Really want to see more stunt replication videos like this !
The Oregon boys are at it again.
This was fun to watch.
Great Sean Connery impression! And solid cosplay Indy gear!
Another awesome video.
I love the Indiana Jones trilogy. Great movies, and this is a great video!
This was awesome!
This is one of the more dangerous videos that your boys have put together. Hudson, be sure to get a carry permit for that bullwhip 😂
buff dudes turnt stuntmen!! I love it!!
Awesome video! Big like!
Amazing job gents. Just made my lady watch the first one lol. Fun fact Michelle Pfeiffer, who played Catwoman was able to whip 3 candles in a row in front of the cast and crew of Batman. 😮
Trying to pop that balloon with an underhand crack - bold move.
I just love how you can tell they LOVE Indiana Jones!
A lot of these refs you wouldn't get unless you really enjoy the films!
The Original Indiana Jones trilogy are the best movies ever made.
Buff dudes transitioning into stunt dudes
Cannot believe the stunts and the Sean Connery impression!!
Buff dudes country workout routine incoming ?
Day 1 Hay bale bucking
Day 2 truck drags
Lol. Great vid guys 💪
Did you guys ever do a video with a workout/challenge from the movie 300? Maybe doing fighting/running with huge metal shields or something? Spartans are considered the pinnacle of masculinity.
We haven't but we've wanted to for a long time!
@@buffdudes Awesome, perhaps you guys can do some challenges like doing bodyweight exercises in full plate armour or something as well - ancient warrior type stuff. Maybe even some combat using training(dulled edges/spikes) weapons?
Dudes, you guys are amazing doing these stunts without all the safety equipment and planned situation
6 years ago you 2 tot me how to work out and get jacked i felll out of working out after 2 years and im just getting back in to it now! thank you for all you guys have done and put out there!
Terry Leonard performed the truck drag stunt in Raiders. The dug a slight trench in the road to assist it
Well thats because Terry had to the do the under the truck portion as well and they needed the trench to give him more clearance under the truck. The trench really wasn't necessary for the drag.
Indiana Jones is one of the coolest characters ever, this video is awesome lol
I really appreciate that you guys when through the effort of getting a proper good indy bullwhip and not some cheap one off of amazon for 30 dollars.
Fan of both buff dudes and still love watching indy
The Indy Cosplay is epic!
omg the accents i'm DYING!!!
This was a cool ass video good job boys
Great job buff dudes
Great Job Homies!!!!
This was awesome
That's a pretty good Jones Sr. impression from Brandon. Noice!
Fantastic - serious production values and great, gung ho fun.
Thanks Allan!
Those whip cracks are sick
This was amazing
Badass video guys 🤠😜
Loved watching this ! Now try some Mission Impossible stunts 👀😅
Loved this😂😂❤❤
Dragged.
Great video.
Dragged!
Not a shabby Connery, not too shabby.
Hey Buff Dudes, another great video!
Can you all do the Batman montage workout again on a bulk diet for 1 month because that video was AWESOME!
Bro comes up and smashes the challenge in one take and throws in a pretty solid Sean Connery to cap it off?!
*slowly clapping
The actual skill of that Sean Connery impersonation knocked me out of my chair!
Just goes to show how good that stuntman who did that really was!
Hey, excellent video Dudes. You look great . This is exactly what I'd be doing if I had a tractor, dirt road and a rope. The original stuntmen had padding for the truck drag so good move. Had you seen the BTS? Jealous of that leather jacket.
Love this! Would y’all please share the list of clothes used to make up your look? It looks so spot on, I’d love to know where to shop to make my own, especially the hats and jacket.
That looked like fun.
And remember - after you make it onto the truck, you have to fight the driver ! lol
E X C E L L E N T !!!!! Big Thank you for this !!
