Thanks for watching! I hope this helps someone enjoy making their Toyota more loud and flashy, or reserved and inconspicuous. Let me know what setting you prefer. 👇🏼
I prefer it when it beeps, that way i know i locked/unlocked it
@@thepcuser5469 yes very valuable to most people.
By the way can you get the home screen view like in the previous generation entune 3.0 system?
The manual is informative but your videos are my quick go-to. Thx, BR
Glad to help!
I like the lights and he tone. If you are checking to see if you locked your vehicle after you went into your house or are a good distance away from your vehicle where you can’t hear the tones, you can see the lights blink to confirm you are close enough to check to see if you remembered to lock the vehicle. The tones are nice to confirm you pushed the bar strips properly to lock the vehicle. Especially if your hands are dirty or are wearing thick enough gloves as to not be able to activate the sensor.
I have learned so much by watching your videos. Thank you Brian👍
Hey thanks for your support!
Thanks Brian. I’m going to customize the settings on my car now that I am equipped with this knowledge. Appreciate you
Thanks for watching!

Thank you Brian, really like your short info videos!! Happy Holidays!!
Happy holidays!
Thanks very much!! I'm able to adjust the sound now. I appreciate the help!!🙂
Glad I could help!
Thank you Brian. Did you by any chance do video on the locking and unlocking system? I am interested in just controlling doors from inside when needed. Otherwise I want to just unlock driver side. Thanks
Thank you!
You got it
Hey Brian nice to see a new Vid from you…great insights again..appreciate it. When’s the next Tacoma vid coming. Thanks
Hey Larry thanks! Next Tacoma vid will be coming soon. What would you like to see?
Cool. A little feature but nice to know I can control both the lights and volume.
Made a world f difference for me to not hear that door lock tone anymore. Thsnk you!
Same!
Appreciate the tutorial. If I may, would like to see a video from you about the ‘23 CC hybrids. Thanks
Thanks for the great videos. Just bought my 2022 Tundra last week and I have been lost!
Congrats!
Good to know.
I bought a 2023 Corolla Hatch 2 weeks ago. I have mine set at the lowest audible setting with light feedback. I personally like seeing the turn signals (full LEDs) because it's beautiful. I wish Toyota would allow us to lock the car with the engine running with a proximity key like my Charger. It comes in handy when I make a quick stop somewhere but want to keep my car running for 1-3 minutes until I get back.
Wonderful setup and yes I agree! Thanks for sharing with us
I lock with the manual key in this situation. Having a hybrid, in winter when at work I leave the hybrid on with the heat turned to off. This will keep the coolant at 102F so engine only turns on a few minutes each hour. Also keep lights off. When I get back to car I turn on heat and it's warm right away. Probably 10c of fuel used in 4 hours parked.
Brian do you plan on doing a tutorial on the Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE? I have one on order, should get it at the end of August ‘23 … You explain in such detail making everything easy for me to grasp. Thanks for your hard work.
Very rare car but if we get one I would
Thanks Brian. Would you please do a video on the door locking system? I am interested in unlocking passenger doors from inside only and only access drivers side with the smart key.. thanks
You’re welcome Can’t do it that way.
Glad to see Toyota finally upgraded the screen and the software, my 2921 Rav4 screen looks like it's from the early days of car screens with the blue background.
Something else they need to upgrade is adding sound deadeer to the roof, it sound like a tin roof when we get a down pour so annoying and embarrassing
Great video as always Brian, thanks the info.
Thank you for watching! Much agreed with your points
Our 2022 Highlander Platinum AWD Hybrid has acoustic glass and extra sound insulation . The roof noise I think is abated due to the panoramic sunroof with it powered sun shade. 35 mpg city and 35 mpg highway. My wife usually get37 mpg in town. Just a plug for the Highlander Hybrid model.
@@lc7192 That's good to hear. I'm getting around 43 MPG now with my Rav4 now that the weather is warmer. Going to wait and maybe get the 4Runner after it's redesign. That also will be a Hybrid.
Less materials = less weight = more m.p.g.
Thank-you for this well thought out and researched video, 100 % better than what the Toyota sales man tried to tell me, most of what he said did not make SENSE, it was WRONG, now I know the right stuff, because of you SIR, Thank-you very much. Keep up this good, no ,brilliant, work. You should sell this tooToyota, you make a fortune. I just leased a 2023 Tacoma access cab TRD 4x4 off road , I was getting 18 l/100km, not good, now I know why, I was in eco mode and trying to drive in regular drive, I drive like most men, not like an old woman, sorry mom!!Again keep up this type of video. One more question, how to turn off the safety, when you start the truck remotely and when you open the door it shuts off, please, for the sake of my existence, tell me how to turn this crab OFF.
Thanks for your support. The Toyota will always shut off after the door opens to ensure nobody can steal it.
Thanks for showing us. If you could show us more stuff with the new screen system and how to use all those bells and whistles it would be appreciated. I find on my 2022 trd pro I have a glitch when using Apple car play and navigation where after map shown trying to go to audio I loose sound.
You’re welcome. Will do as much as I can for you! Sorry about the glitch not sure why that happens. I always recommend this process:
-disconnect phone from truck
-forget truck from phone
-forget phone from truck
-check for updates on phone
-restart phone
-check for software update on truck (settings)
-reconnect phone to truck from scratch.
If issue still persists, bring to service to have them inspect or visit with a live sales person.
@@brianruperti I have to remember to document it when it happens it’s usually when using navigation and hitting audio then when navigation gives me directions I have to hit audio twice to go back to audio. That is when I loose my sound, since I just want the audio not maps screen without tunes. I have to figure out exact order that creates the problem without being able to replicate its no use bugging the service department. Thought you may have seen that happen before.
Yea sorry haven’t seen that happen yet. I’ve been using a 23 highlander with the same infotainment system and also demo’d a BZ4x for a short bit of time and neither had the issue. I’ll keep an eye out for you for any info.
@@brianruperti thanks I forgot to mention initial comment it is a 4Runner.
Brian I have a2023 Camry XSE is Toyota going to update my info software I have the JBL upgrade.Thank You for your help
Nice car!
Any videos to do this with an older model? I have a 2016 4Runner.
Not yet sorry
Thanks for the tutorial. Will this work on 2023 Tacoma?
Yes
@@brianruperti Perfect! Thanks
You got it
Hi Brian, I have a '23 Highlander Limited, and I can't find a setting to make the driver seat slide back when I open the door. Any help would be appreciated
Hello the highlander LTD doesn’t have that feature.
Do you know if Toyota will push out a software upgrade OTA for the 2021 model?
Not too sure sorry
Brian, my dear not everybody has a newer Toyota I don't have any menu. I have a 2010 Prius Toyota and I haven't found a way to shut that door chirping off if you have a way let me know. Thank you.
I bought a carista obd plug in, you can turn it off with that. With my 2010 prius, it won't come on. I replaced the buzzer unit, still nothing, I've tried turning it off and on again with the carista app, still nothing. Replaced a couple door lock actuators, so those are all working fine, but still no beep. I get the lights, but no beep and I have no idea what to look at next lol
Hey Brian, I used your suggestion to turn off the sound when turning on/off my car through the key fob. Well, the car I bought has the Karr Security System, and I think it's overriding the process. Also, the sound on my car isn't a nice beep, like on your video, it's the horn sound. I really want to turn this off. Any suggestions?!
I’m sorry I am not familiar with that system
Can this be done with a 2012 Camry XLE??
I don’t believe so
Can you do it if you don't have carplay or AA?
Yes
@@brianruperti I figured it out and also found a few other handy settings. Thanks mate 👍
Hello Brian, I was able to mute the beeping following the instructions of this video. But along with the beeping, whenever I initially lock/unlock my Rav4 there is a loud almost honk like sound. Is there a way to get rid of this?
Hi I’m not sure why it would honk. Did you buy the car brand new?
@@brianruperti yes I brought it brand new. I did some research and im thinking it might be the security system that was installed on it.
If it has the upgraded security system I’d bet it’s related to that
Does it work on Yaris Cross?
It should
Savior in the dark how can you find your Toyota with no feedback like on no sound
With no light or sound you just have to know where you are at and hear the doors unlock when you’re close up. If your environment is loud, perhaps a slight tone only is just enough for you to identify up close without being noticed. Experiment and let us know what you prefer!
You can do this on your phone through the Toyota app also.
How?
@@brianruperti Everytime I comment the instructions it keeps getting deleted.
@@zcam7939 🧐
I can not access carplay, I have an android phone
Download android auto app onto the phone
I did the same method as you and it did not work for me, knowing that my car is a 2022 Toyota Avalon
The sound used to appear and disappear suddenly, and I did not know how to fix it
You should have the menu to change the sound and light levels
I don't understand what the list is?
I used to be the guy who helped all of my friends' parents learn to use their phones and computers.
Now I have to come to @brianruperti to figure out how to use my new Rav4 XLE Hybrid :) LoL
Thanks Brian!
What a compliment! Thanks! 🙏🏼
