Amazing explanations fir my new Florian neighbors and friends. They think I’m out of my mind when I try to explain to them that we will all be affected to some degree. They’re so focused on JUST THE EYE WALL. I’ve been here 39 years and have seen many hurricanes and try to give my best advise. I think that it would be great if the media would also stress that the eye wall is going to affect a limited number of people but the majority of people will ALSO feel the effects of the storm also and depending upon how close to rivers, creeks, sheet flow in low lying areas - the situation can be very very serious. Downed power lines with live wires can kill you when you step outside for that cigarette or a look-see when the storm passes. Many people are out after a storm filming while driving the damages. You can tell by their on-line posts. Be alert - stay alert. For goodness sake - stay inside. And one more thing-- do NOT OPEN DOORS OR WINDOWS during the storm - That storm will have bo problem in equalizing the pressure by removing the roof! Do you ever wonder why just that one house on the whole block lost their roof? I hope everyone stays safe
Than you for your information.I agree because nobody mention Land O Lakes, or any of the cities in our ara. I was living in Tampa on 2004 .for Huracane Frances .
Your smarter then your average bear
Let's pray for everybody in the path of Ian. We live in Land o lakes, FL. In 2004 I was living in Tampa,Fl.....for hurricane Frances ....In that morning when I woke up and put my feets on that floor the water was already inside the house .
Excellent reporting. Thank you. I'm in Ocala but nevertheless we're preparing for the worst.
My prayers to my family in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba. Thank you for this update.
Q: We don't hear much about el nina & el nino anymore. Why not? I remember a few years ago that was the predictor of what our weather would do next.
Thanks for the update Erica and Matt!
Didn't know you guys had a ytube channel. That app is fire I use it frequently
What a great report, thank you!
Great job. Thanks from West Palm.
God protect my family in Pinar del Rio and that the hurricane does not leave human and material losses there🙏
Great weather station - clear 👌 explanation.
That's a sucky feeling knowing what's on its way.. an Florida has every right to be scared as hell..
How far inland will the winds be? I'm in Sumter county
Hey all you people from New York Chicago Los Angeles that are in west Florida now's the Time to get out of town. The rest of you guys better make sure your airboat/swamp buggy, and 4x4/6x6 have the oil topped off, still runs and is filled up. Lash it down from Marcos all the way up the coast. Anything that can be picked up by your twelve year old better be put away, you're responsible for that (especially you people leaving), I don't want a garbage can lid smacking me in the forehead. Don't leave your yard waste at the curb, that's just dumb, unless they are picking up today (probably not, but those guys do work hard). Thank you for being out there, at the ready to restore power!
Cloudless sunrise in Virginia Beach this morning
GOOO IAN 😆
We're having storm here in Jamaica so I'm not sure what the weather is saying
Awesome video Erica. Great job. 🙂👍
good channel
Once again another hurricane miss Jamaica 🇯🇲. JAH BLESS
EMERGENCY POWER FOR A FAN, PHONE, POWER BANK: If you want power for a fan from now on...get a folding portable solar panel at least 60 watts...or even better a high quality 100 watt one. Be sure it has multiple USB ports along with the 12 volt port. These can easily power USB fans, charge your devices, and charge USB power banks to run the fan at night. Onite makes the perfect power outage LED light bulb that can be plugged in to the power banks. These larger panels provide plenty of power to the USB ports even under completely cloudy skies and they often work fine in the shade.
Heat stroke is the number one killer after hurricanes. This can help prevent that without worrying about finding more and more batteries for inefficient fans they sell. You can also get a fast charging solar power station like the Bluetti EB70 or just get the cheapest, smallest one you can find. The Bluetti can power a dorm fridge or small chest freezer and if connected to a 200 watt solar panel deach sunny day it will continue to power them until power is restored. Using its AC charger a gas generator can recharge it in under four hours and it will then power the freezer or small fridge 18 to 24 hours saving gas. But the 100 watt panel can charge it too but may not completely charge it in one day if it`s powering a fridge or freezer. A 200 watt panel will. Get a regular 200 watt glass panel for it. They`re far less expensive and more durable than portable ones.
A LifeStraw or Sawyer personal water filter can make contaminated tap water safe by removing the germs. Also makes collected rain water or pond water safe to drink and removes bad bugs that cause sickness.
Everyone on the Western Florida Coast need to move as far away from the Water as possible. The Storm Surge and Heavy Rain is worse than the Wind itself. Take your Pets too even if you have to camp in your car!
It’s so much easier living up north. I never fear a snow storm or have ever had to leave my house and belongings behind! You fools.
God will protect his people that worship and are in obedient to his words but the wicked and the disobedient shall be cut off and that without remedy.
This I not uptodate... 5 am is the release of new data... this data is from the 11 pm release.
Don't go by this post.
It's hammering Jamaica
That was a different hurricane. Ian is the newest hurricane developing.
My Prayers for Cuba and all the cubans in the island.🙏
When are the USAF Hurricanes Hunters going to give us actual reports not virtual ones?
First.
Second
I think this guy should drink less coffee😂
Fourth!
Cuba evacuate now
Third!
These weather people pray for stuff like this. The most excitement they get from just delivering the boring everyday weather forecasts.
Rest In Pieces 💀💀💀💀💀💀
Careful what you wish for.
Really? 🤦♀️
Erica , please stay with us during your show ... that Mathew is too irritating , load and Over Dramatic ... i say we love you and please stay with us ... Thanx !!!
You stretch it what you talking about
I want to marry this woman!
You guys are so obsessed with your own neighborhood (you live in a hurricane zone...you knew that right?) That you've literally forgotten completely that the rest of us exist. Wow. I mean you always focus more on your own area, and don't seem to have a firm grasp of the basic geography of the US (typical easterners), but this is a new low. I'll find someplace else to get weather reports.
He just said the stronger we can get this hurricane going . Could he just cream all over himself with no clue of the possible human suffering? A freaking kid excited over people’s lives altered or lost. Think he would’ve been better served saying inflow/outflow is conducive to strengthening.
They get excited don't they...😂😂😂
WOW 😲 this video really sucks 😞
You have to be one of the worst weather men i have watched so far
Dude you need to wear a little bit better clothing
Shut up
Stay safe down there! Please remember plans to keep your animals safe, everyone ❤
