I have looked through a huge UA-cam presentation on everything related to Terra preta, LAB, molasses, biochar and natural fertilization in general. This video and its creator are awesome. Such a good and simple explanation that anyone can understand. The calm and comprehensible speech of the author almost calms you down. I want to tell the author that I thank him from the bottom of my heart, for his great effort to spread his knowledge and practical demonstration, among all interested people of the world, Thank you, thank you, thank you🥰😍💚

    1 tablespoon of sugar
    1 quart of water.
Mix well, let sit for 15 minutes.

For those in Australia looking for a black bucket - I’ve used a Bunnings 20L bucket and lid (dark green but should work the same - it’s solid colour and as good as black). Bought a $6 worm farm tap (also Bunnings), because it comes with a rubber washer and screw on back; drilled a hole using a hole saw (didn’t have one, so bought their cheap $20 set, but maybe you can buy a singular one to fit the tap if you don’t have one already) then bought some brewers pressure valves off eBay. Went together perfectly 😊

SO. I just have to "vent" a little and let people know what I went through. I bought a whitish/clear (wine) fermenting bucket. The lid to the bucket I bought wouldn't even snap on tight and I had to use duck tape to keep it air tight. DON'T BUY THIS. Its worth the search to find a black fermenting bucket and try to find a screw (gamma) seal lid. Hopefully this will help others not go through what I went through. Good luck composters!!!!

Hey Weedy, i got a tip. If you put so much sugar in your start solution (ricewater+milk) till its like syrup, all bacteria will go into stasis. That is much better for storing, otherwise the strong bakteria will eat the weak, even in your fridge. Stasis for more diversity or even a hand of good compost or earth from the woods added in the beginning. How are your mushrooms growing? Remember to use your garden giants at your walkways in the foodforest too. Greetings

That is, I have no knowledge about the food in the soil, but I know that the food in the soil is very important to the ecosystem. Your knowledge has inspired me to learn. I will try my best to put it to good use. Thank you. I personally hate and strongly oppose the use of chemicals that destroy food in the soil. In Thailand, farmers have little knowledge about soil conservation and maintaining the value of soil for long-term sustainable food. It is safe for both people and water and consumers, including those who grow crops.

At the time, I would have liked to have had teachers who would have explained it in that special and hypnotic way that you have, apart from the fact that you also explain it with its scientific part.
Allow me just a couple of questions as a joke, don't take this the wrong way: If you know that in that brew there are millions, billions, trillions and gazillions of those little Pac-Mans... Why do you taste it? Do you want they to decompose you? 😂

This is the first video of yours I have seen. I'm very impressed. The entire presentation is right up my alley.
Apparently the algorithm knows what I need. lol
Subbed and will DEFINITELY be going back to see previously released content.

It's always confused me how people are so scared of microbes.
They are SO important to our health....in so many ways.
(I'm quite possibly the LEAST "germophobic" RN you might ever meet...)

Thank you for the information. Your videos are always so helpful and enjoyable. I didn't realize you were having a competition with the word Mushrooms but I did get a giggle from the Hay/Straw edit. What a fun thing to offer for your watchers. Congratulations to your winner. 🎉 and Thank you for the fertilizer how to! ❤

Thank you.... I looked into KNF a while ago... but the vids I saw were very clinical and confusing... this is brilliant :) & perfect timing too... just cleared out my cupboards and found multiple bottles of black strap molasses, got everything here to get started (which helps when you live in the middle of nowhere ;) ) Might have to paint some 5 gallon tubs black and get some taps for them... but otherwuse we're good :)
Plus I've got 47 meat chickens in the yard I'm trying to do the 'chicken tractir on steroids' thing with... tractor is a caravan that isn't moving, but I'm moving the piles daily... and the chooks love it as they can get to any fly larve ;) But we also have a humanure composting area... and as we're in New Mexico, keeping it wet isn't easy.... so anything to help it along will be a good thing ;)
THANK YOU for your videos :)

The LAB will help your humanure breakdown and will take away the smell too. Sounds like you will be busy. Thanks for sharing 👍✌️

@TheWeedyGarden No smell, thankfully ;) The flies tend to prefer the chicken tractor piles to the humanure ones.... which is a good thing ;) We missed any monsoons this year though, so everything is DRY... if I can give it all a kick start before Winter, that will help :)
Need to give myself a kickstart tomorrow to get it started too ;) What with learning to look after a top bar hive, 5 ducks, multiple laying chooks and 47 meat chooks (plus 1 special needs bird ;) ) I spend half the day wandering in circles working out what I need to do still hehe ... this nudge helps... thanks ;)

Thanks for the video! I just finalized my farm cheese that I won't be eating lol and LAB solution.
I found you while I was researching if I could use my concentrated solution to inoculate about 40 gallons of my home made charcoal to create biochar. I think I'll super charge the LAB first with at least the molasses hack. Thanks again !!
