Great stuff! I know that area well, as my Grandparents lived in South West Rocks. We spent most of our holidays there and the surrounding area as kids. Such a special place. Watching your vid just makes me want to go back there on my DRZ.

I’ve got a couple of weeks off from work in October and the Polmer Camp ground looks like it could be a great home base to explore your neck of the woods.

Phil....great video....the 400 might be the answer for me.....650 getting a bit heavy
It won't be as good on the hwy, but will sit on 100 kph totally fine - ideally with a smaller rear sprocket (15 / 43 combo on mine) but everything else is more enjoyable than I remembered from my last DR650 👍

Sure is a horrible old road to the North Shore. Can't believe I've never been to Queens Head Lookout! How was the DRZ on the sand compared to the Rally?
Yep, she's a wild run to Port from Point Plomer onwards! The DRZ is very similar on sand to the Rally, Michelle 👍

Hi hope you enjoy the DRZ, does the bike feel better than the 300 rally in terms of weight and ergonomics ?
Have you tried a chest mount for your camera?
Similar bikes but different. The Rally had better ergonomics for longer rides I'd say- but mod the DRZ to what suits your riding position. Both feel light, though the DRZ feels, and is lighter 👍 Chest mount footage is too low for my liking
If you keep eating those burgers you'll be trading the DRZ in for a cruiser!
