- Folks at Home! Here is the video from my first ever professional Kayak WIN! This tournament was a B.A.S.S. Kayak event on one of my favorite bodies of water, the upper chesapeake! This win meant a lot to me especially since it was my first official win on the professional circuit and with my brand new @HobieOfficial !

Dang, and I thought my pa14 was loaded down with too much tackle and too many rods when fishing tourneys.......good to see I'm not the only one that rolls with 10 or 12 rods, a tackle crate with 4 trays of lures and topwaters, a big soft plastic case, another bag for just soft swimbaits and flukes, boxes up under seat--terminal case; chatters and spinners and buzzs box; jig box; Plus I got the h rail container like you for pliers and cutters and misc items............I dig it, you gotta have the tools to win. I'll be really bad for my sept tourneys, i feel like they will be a junk-fishing extravaganza----- I'll need a lot of everything in the boat.

Well said. I’d share water with ya any day. As a kayak guy I was hesitant to see your name in the kayak side of stuff; but after watching this video and hearing what you said at the ceremony…. Not only do I get it, I have a ton of respect for you in your approach to prefishing outta the kayak, and how you grinded it out to the last minute. Tight lines Ike… you are the truth. You come into the kayak world with all the sponsors and money, competing against guys that are trying to make it up the ladder. You have conquered every level of bass fishing and now you step down into what I would consider more of a minor league and destroy the chances of new guys making their way. Congrats on going backwards!
Not really it's a different type of fishing, I wouldn't say it's easier either, if anything you were limited in a kayak and live or die by your decisions.

It would be cool to see an angle from the front and you explaining what you are doing and thinking about throughout the day… I know it’s a lot to think about during a tournament but I bet guys would love to watch that! Great job and it was fun fishing against you!

Hey bro. Great job. Next season will be my 1st entering probably around ten tournament on different lakes. I purchased my 1st kayak 2021 HOODOO IMPULSE 120 PDL. She's all set, all my gear FF, landing gear all the toys, and the last just recieved. Newport Torqueedo 1103, that I'm installing now. But fun fished all summer, setup all my equipt, batteries, chargers etc..Was this your 1st year kayak fishing? I can't believe I went all this time not knowing how awsome it is to design your own vessel, and get where no one else can. I'll be in tournamants with bass, and flats boats. But cant be the kayak covering miles of water, and tucking into 6 inches of water, in a 15 ft spot. Congrats bro..Loving my setup. 🎣🙏🎣🤟

you so said it yourself here in the video you're Semi Retirement / Hiatus from Professional Bass fishing.
I think You would help out the kayak community more by highlighting people who are doing this level of competing on a yearly basis and consistently come out on top ten.
Anglers really cant compete with the amount of spotlight you draw into this field. But in reality you bring in more money, and revenue to the sport.
There is many Anglers who want to gain more traction in the community. But they are shadowed by your spotlight. Redirect that light for once.
