Had a similar day one, was a bit stoked to be 1 inch behind the guy ive watched since i was a kid, then promptly you smoked me day 2 😂 glad i got to throw my ike live joke out at registration, congrats on the hall of fame, tight lines!
Bought two pairs of those sunglasses like you have on from Walmart best damn sunglasses iv ever owned for the price. They don’t hold up to the Louisiana heat but talk about great feel and amazing polarization even in the muddy Louisiana rivers. Hard to find in store at Walmart but when I find them I grab a pair.
Play terrible conditions at the beginning of the video, way to push through, extremely tough day how are you, I don't mean this in any way but educational for myself. But it's nice to know that you're willing to put that on there that you struggled. In my opinion in the bass angling world being on the lower end of the totem , motivation when situations like this arise to push through it, and continue to fish because like you said that's fishing
Where on this river were you? Some of my favorite fishing back in the 90s was on the Susquehanna out of Columbia PA. Just north of the Rt 30 bridge for a few miles up to the train bridge. Bass, walleye and musky!
If I had to fish from that position even four hours I would have to have a rescue team to help me get out of that kayak and then I would need rehabilitation just to walk again. Maybe 2 hours tops! People think its easy but it's a totally different game totally different casting motion everything is different than the deck of bass boat
C'mon Mike think it out it's over cast it's late fall they're hold up on some certain kind of cover different from all the rest up shallow near that deep drop off
If you look at everyone one fishing these events they have a minimum of 4 rods on their kayak. Time is crucial in kayak fishing since they can't cover water as fast as a boat can. To have to tie on lures every time would be a serious time killer. Also Mike wasn't staring at his screen trying to watch fish take his lure. He was visually scanning the river with his eyes to see where fish would be staging. This was a great video on taking us with him in the tournament.
I don’t know.. in my opinion this isn’t kayak fishing. Should have to be human propelled. Paddle or peddle only. Nothing against Mike I’m sure he’s a nice guy. I just think once companies start paying for everything for the pros it kinda ruins the sport. I bet that’s at least a $10,000 to $15,000 set up all paid for by not him. The pros should stick to bass boats and leave kayak bass fishing to real people. Weekend warriors and people that still have to have real jobs. Plus this dude gives me anxiety just watching him. It’s like every cast is so frantic! Doesn’t look like he’s enjoying himself much!
That kayak is still affordable to any of us if we want to purchase one that elaborate. To say that Mike isn't a real person or doesn't work for a living and shouldn't be allowed to fish these tournaments is wrong. No matter what job field your in you are considered an employee.
@@kevinstoudinger4015 get real dude! Please! That kayak isn’t affordable to normal everyday people. Really dude a $15,000 kayak is affordable? I make good money and no! It’s not affordable or reasonable. Your missing the point. He didn’t pay a dime for it. Also he’s a pro fisherman! Not a real job. Yeah he makes money but it’s not a real job. Like nfl football.
I was just thinking the same thing that thing is decked out to the max and he can stand up in it that's more like a plastic Louisiana pearow or flat john
I fish because of this man.
So glad you're playing in the kayak world. I think it helps legitimize the sport I love to play.
Dude your so much fun to watch
Never seen you that quiet, you were in the zone! I’m loving the kayak fishing vids, great stuff!
Ike, I love watching you boat flip them into the yak!
Enjoyed the fishing footage. I do believe that you really enjoy fishing more from a Kayak now, than fishing from a bass boat.

All I do anymore is kayak smallmouth fish rivers. This one’s on the short list.
THE BATTLESHIP OF KYAKS
Where ya at on the ‘hanna? I’ve fished it in upstate NY, and one of its tributaries. 🤙
Ike’s in a machine, not a kayak. Weather fooled them up for sure.

Dang rain
Did you send that pic the Mike Breeding. Lol
I looked in your tackle box but didn’t see what buzz bait we’re you using ?

I crush the sus I gotta start tourney fishing
About what stretch of the susky is this?
I hope u show us the weigh in if u did good
Don't be smoking that Susquehanna.
It's amazing how everything is a bassmasters now. Fishing is in a bad state.
Kayak 🤣🤣
you have to click that gizmo around your neck each time you get a keeper...? i know zero about tournaments...
Shallow water anchor by Power Pole! Allows me to anchor down to take the pictures without floating down the river!
@@mikeiaconellifishing thanks I had no clue I have a stake out pole and a anchor..but I'm seeing what I'm missing..!!!
Nice one fat fat
Think you have enough fishing rods…and look at all that electronic equipment…shame on any bass association for sponsoring events like this!
High Noon
Don't watch than

Then leave the screen at home!
