There was no courage in his mockery of an ongoing genocide, he dodged to make any tough statement. I used to like him, a long time ago, very dissapointed now.
@@SashaArsic I did not see any mockery, I saw a man who attempted to educate the masses in as unbias a way as possible by using humor to entertain people while educating them. This segment combined with the subsequent interview illustrated to me that it is the Gazans who are the primary sufferers of the ongoing conflict. Further, he made it clear that both Israel and Palestinian leadership have no real intention of ending the conflict or coming to any sort of agreement given that they both do not support the other's existence at this point, which is ultimately an impossible place to start when attempting to negotiate any two-state future given that both countries have significant populations making it entirely unrealistic to support the non-existence of the other. He also supported a DMZ with the help of other Arab countries. In my opinion, the segment illustrated that the populations are suffering as a result of their leadership, particularly the leadership using conflict to maintain their power at the cost of innocent lives. Concerning dodging a tough statement, in addition to what is mentioned above, he made it clear that Israel should stop bombing and Palestine should release the hostages. I am not sure what more of a statement could be made other than suggesting that certain people on both sides should be convicted of war crimes for their atrocities, which I believe should occur in the future; however, what is most important right now is ending the loss of life and any threat of coercion on leadership could be a deterrent to that. If you are willing to suggest a statement he should have made, I would happily, consider it, particularly if it would support a path forward that is in the realm of possibility.
Sometimes, he can bring more laughs than anyone in the world. Other times, he just wants to tell it straight. When the crowd doesn't laugh at everything, he says, You know he's getting down to business. Perfect talk on the subject.

That is a brilliant solution (the third one hah). I had an online friend who lived in Gaza. The stories she told me, my goodness. Stories like how when she was eight, walking home from school, seeing a dead body in the street. Being holed up living off of olive oil because it wasn't safe to go out. We were both writing for a little blog at the time I knew her, and one day she couldn't publish anything because her city was being bombed. She had to shelter where it was safe. This is not how she wanted to live. She wanted to be a doctor. She had hopes and dreams. She didn't want to be trapped in a literal war zone trying to pretend to go about life as if she didn't live in a war zone. She wanted peace. We both joined a global women's peace organization together at that time. All they did was send stuff to our inboxes but it still felt right. And my heart aches every time I hear the news about Gaza because I knew someone who lived there. And she couldn't leave. And there was nothing I could do to help her. Once you know someone personally, it really changes how you see things. I have really struggled sometimes when I turned on the radio and hear them talking about the war. Because I can't handle thinking of the suffering that happens there. I know Hamas has done evil things. But so has Israel. And not all of Gaza is Hamas. And these people, and my friend, their lives matter. They're real human beings. I've lost touch with my friend. But I really hope she's safe.
Same here. I had a Palestinian friend who I lost contact with years ago, even then conflict was ongoing but not to the intensity it is today. I hope that both her and her family are safe as well.
All this suffering while during Hamas rule Gaza have received around 5 billion dollars in humanitarian aid. I gess it's Israel fault that instead of using this money to help their population, Hamas stole it to make their leaders reach and to build wepons, which they mostly use against civilians. If not everyone in Gaza are Hamas war criminals, they should help Israel to liberate the world from Hamas.

courage? every one and their mother is discussing this everywhere. all living celebrities said some about it. open your eyes
You misspelled Genocide
@SashaArsic except it's not a genocide lol.

They could literally immigrate to Israel after showing no aggression toward it and then have same citizen rights as jws have.
I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope your friend is safe too.
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.
Jon Stewart being back is like sanity returning. Great timing sir.
Couldn't have said it better!!
