Never in my life had I seen a 78-year-old man so healthy and with so much muscle mass.
Then you haven't been looking. Sylvester Stallone is 77 and is way bigger. Technically one year younger, but yeah.. he is just one of many examples.
Ernie does look very young for his age though, but he isn't even close to packing anywhere near the amount of muscle mass some other people in his age has.
He never did testosterone gh let alone steroids that’s why Stallone is that big he wasn’t even as muscular as he is noe in his genetic prime late 20s 30s. If he did gear and wanted to be big with his frame he would be huge

I'm 36 and overweight, Ernie is in better shape than me! But I have been getting healthier, stopped smoking two months ago, brought alcohol to a minimum, up next... the gym! This is so motivating. I want to look as good, be as healthy and move with his energy when I'm in my 70ies.

I met him in 97 when I was 20 and working at Costco. I did the tires on his car. He was really nice to all of us.
I lived next door to him just before ghost busters, and afterwards all the kids in the neighborhood would literally harass him lol, looking back I was so annoying but Ernie was always friendly, never short, same smile and warm personality. Stand up human right here.

I recently joined a gym and this is beyond inspiring. Having a lifelong commitment to eating clean and making sure to get enough exercise is probably the biggest factor in retaining your quality of life as we age. Watching Ernie in this condition at his age is jaw-dropping. That man will outlive us all at this rate. Amazing guy!

It really goes to show how important role models are. I'm now seeing 70 year old men and women who are fit and strong. Amazing to see what the future can hold if we put in the work.

Forget about diets, forget about influencers that promote new protein shakes and stuff. This guy is a clear example of what to do. keep an eye on how much you eat. Try to eat healthy , but also allowed yourself to enjoy a meal you are craving, and stay active.

And Ernie also seems to adhere to daily Intermittent Fasting: he said he doesn't eat until around noon and stops eating at about 7pm. He eats healthily, with his diet primarily constituting high-protein, low-carb food, with plentiful vegetables of different colours to provide many vitamins and minerals.

This dude is admirable in every way. I'm about to turn 70 and think I'm unusually fit and sharp for my age. Ernie shows what's possible. Hope you interview him again at age 100.
