Great demonstration of the ease of stripping a Viessmann boiler. The hoses can easily be cleaned in situ though and if the system is chemical free they need replacing after 12 to 16 years. The hoses collect the dirt in a dirty system but not in a clean system. They collect the dirt that dirt filters don't collect. So in effect they are an amazing filter than is quick and easy to clean on an annual service. Effective filters protect boilers better than ineffective filters. A great design feature if understood but alas its often not understood and becomes a negative rather than a positive. The compact with no rubber hoses blocks up badly as it has not got this fantastic protection. Many installers do not understand just how brilliant the Viessmann design is and to them it can appear as an overpriced boiler. In ti.e education in the UK will lead all installers to seek out the advanced design features Viessmann have been offering for over 20 years.
Great job bruh, I generally replace the flue turret seal and grease it up. I also put in some fernox F2 silencer to keep those dirt particles suspended in the heating system. It helps to mains flush the hex whilst it's out too. Next time try it shit loads of crud and sludge comes out. Double/triple check that turret seal 😏👍.
Good video bro them viessmann boilers are nice and easy to work, I really like them! luckily the heat exchanger comes out in about 10 minutes you won’t be able to do that on a lot of other brands, all the later ones now have copper pipes . I usually put a bit of silicon grease around the turret seal. Keep the videos coming
Great video 👌 they should definitely make a soft copper upgrade kit for these or someone could design a retrofit upgrade as most of these are out of warranty now.
Thanks for the vid👍 I dont come across many viessmann boilers in my area so interesting to watch. Do you flush out the plate and main heat exchanger as its drained down and dismantled or do you flush when fitted back in the boiler with chemicals?
Thanks mate 👍🏽 So the plate was cleaned a few days ago by another engineer and he added some cleaner to the system as well afterwards so I just had to drain out the boiler today and change the hoses
Hi there. Thanks for the video. I was told you could get copper replacements but I cannot find them online? Do you know if this is true for a vitodens w100
Nice one...👍 Those rubber hoses are a shit show , and a bad design putting the R on the back , an expensive part two for a bit of rubber , I’ve had probs with the flue seals in the past and now just put plenty of SG on it and that usually does it Cheers....👍

Good job!
Design flaw or brilliant build in debrief collector to protect plate?
I like them
Thank you for this great video mate,
In the future please make it bit longer version video’s (more details) would help people like me.
Thanks for the vid👍

As always brilliant video 👍🏻
Awesome, thank you for sharing
Glad you liked it
thanks for making, what was the boiler doing that let you know this work was required?
22mm copper flexible pipes are available, even Screwfix sell them. Can these be easily used instead of the rubber hoses?
Always adhere to MIs 👍🏽
@@cputilitysolutions
Not when the MIs insist on poor quality materials.
Loving your informative vids bro👍🏾
What T bar and size did you use for the 3 bolts for the heat exchanger?
It's a Wera T bit holder and the extension bar I just got from Screwfix. 10mm nuts 👍🏽

Over a year later and still no callbacks...
Viessmann boilers are overrated over priced and EXPENSIVE parts
