  • This video features the brand new WORX Hydroshot WG644 Portable Power Cleaner, which is the most powerful 40V unit available. The is 6x's more powerful than a typical garden hose and is portable in the sense that it will pump water out from any source that you provide. For instance, you could bring along a 2 gallon bucket of water and clean the item of your choosing wherever you're at. This is great for campers, boaters, homeowners, etc. I also feature the WORX Turbo Nozzle and Soap Dispenser, sold separately. This Hydrohot includes 2@ 20 Volt, 2Ah batteries, a 20' hose, hose adapter, and dual battery charger.

      @@MarkThomasBuilder Received my Hydroshot, and all of your points in your review were spot-on. This thing sure beats fumbling around with a garden hose. I've already found several uses for my new tool. I actually got a set of the larger WA3578 4.0AH batteries to allow for extended operation. I use those as the primary batteries and keep the default batteries as backup should I run out of power. I've subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to future reviews. Thanks again Mark! Take care.

    We have a covered boat dock that we're constantly fighting algae growth on the areas that get very little direct sunlight. This device works GREAT in that I can draft lake water to clean it. The only thing I wish they included is a direct AC adapter...we have electric on the dock and it would be WAY better to have unlimited time for cleaning when drafting from a large water source.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 років тому

      Cool! I haven't done a lot of vehicle cleaning with it yet. I've found many other small projects instead. I'd guess about 2-3 gallons to rinse a vehicle.

  • @slicedpage
    @slicedpage 5 років тому +2

    I find that being able to use hot water for cleaning the car is advantageous. Also there is an attachment where you can fit a bottle to the worx to make it even more portable for smaller jobs . Example; wheel hubs. Rather than take out a full bucket of water to rinse them just use the bottle attachment. Perrier of course :)

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 років тому

      Your choices sound like a good way to clean a car! They make a bottle accessory that works along with an ordinary empty 2L plastic bottle. I have the part and plan to open it up and make a video review, testing it out. It will be out within a week. I'll show my honest thoughts and experience with it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works well!

    • @slicedpage
      @slicedpage 5 років тому +1

      @@MarkThomasBuilder I have only used this accessory once and although it has limited use liquid quantity wise, I can see it will have multiple applications. When it comes to washing a car this bottle can contain the correct proportions of car shampoo to water. Whereas with the liquid dispenser bottle attachment cannot give accurate amounts due to the inconsistencies of water pressure in various areas. The bottle attachment can be used to dispense weed killer,plant nutrition etc etc. Heck maybe even wood preservative paint for spraying onto fencing. I doubt if I'll try that last one myself but hopefully a youtuber with some spare cash or sponsorship with Worx will try that idea.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 років тому

      I've always used clean water in my pressure washers. I would consider trying premixed car shampoo, but think using weed killer is best to be used in the approved low flow sprayers. Milwaukee has a nice battery powered weed sprayer.

    • @slicedpage

    I have one.. Tried it once and it's sitting on the shelf. My garden hose with a good nozzle puts out the same volume. Maybe I got a dud, but you can't replace a gas power washer with batteries.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 років тому

      This is in the category of a power cleaner and not meant to be considered a pressure washer. The selling point of this is the ability to use it where you can't bring a garden hose. If you give it time, you may find more uses for it. The foam cannon is an amazing feature.

      @@MarkThomasBuilder thanks for the reply. The Jimmy (Xiaomi) and Worx Hydroshot have similar specs but where they differ (on paper) is in their outputs. Although they both work under similar pressure (22 bar / 320 psi) the Jimmy has an output of 3 liters per minute, whereas the Worx Hydroshot has an output of 2 liters per minute. 50% more sounds like a lot, but I was wondering how they differ and compare in real world operation.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 років тому +2

      I used the Karcher blue color automotive wash to get the foam. I found that it works best if I spray water for about 5 seconds with the regular nozzle and switch right away to the foam accessory and don't wait very long before spraying. For some reason, the foam cannon doesn't work much unless you do the steps exactly as I mentioned. Good luck, let me know how it works out.
