Today's wash day was the Olaplex # 6 leave in, Twist by Ouidad Boss Bounce cream, Pattern mousse and Curlsmith In Shower Style Fixer.... Yep! I use a lot of products 😂, but they keep my hair moisturized and defined for days 😊 I think I'll try the leave in and mousse under the custard first to see how it works for me. I've learned so much watching your videos and appreciate your reviews!! Have a glorious week!!

Yes! Mousse as a base is amazing! I use the Paul Mitchell sculpting foam and wetline gel as my topper and I get the most moisturized long lasting curls! I had a defined wash and go for 2 weeks and my sister couldn't believe how great it still looked 😅
@AqsoulX Im currently using the doux most def and the wash and go glaze in their line and it's great. I prefer it over the combo I listed above because it's half the drying time. I sometimes still use the Paul Mitchell + the doux wash and go glaze
I haven’t had much luck with Pattern, but I’ve only tried the leave in and the curl gel. That combo gave more frizz than anything…but the custard looks appealing! I did enjoy the leave in, but the curl gel just wasn’t enough hold. I might give it another try with the products you used in your last Pattern video since you seemed to enjoy the leave in more and I already have it. Your hair turned out great!
I love this wash and go. Your curls look really juicy! The success you're having with the new combos is causing me to want to try other stylers w/o UFD curly magic in the mix. I've been using curly magic for years...as it's the only product that literally holds water in my hair. That moisture and weight it gives my strands is essential for me to have successful wash and gos. I would love to find other options that can compete, but not sure it exists for my hair.🤞🏾
It's really fun to try different combos. Especially since you have your staples! In fact, the best time to test out new products is when you get bored of ole faithful. You'll always have your tried and true to return to. Have fun with it!

I love the outcome of the leavein with the styling cream with the curling foam and just a little Eco coconut oil gel for my hair. I also let the styling cream sit for a few also. I find that really helpful.
I love the long videos because I use them to get me through wash days. As you perfect your wash days and reflect on them I can adjust mine if I find we have the same concerns in common. I agree, I love how your hair looks with creams. Do you experience any breakage during your wash days? How often are you trimming your hair? I kinda fell off on my routine because of work but wonder if you feel regular cuts help you to achieve a quick wash and go that does last all day.
Pattern Beauty is BOMB. I love their cream, shampoo, conditoners, and treatments!! While I used to loooove the custard when my hair was low porosity, my now sun-damaged and high porosity hair hates gels that are that glycerin heavy. I've tried the strong hold gel but wasn't crazy about it; might try it again eventually though. I do adore their mousse tho. It has great hold and definition, and its fantastic in humidity. It really should get more hype.
I am circling back to this video. I just tried pattern beauty products…specifically the curl cream. First I’ll say I didn’t care for the leave in as much. I have other favorites that i prefer, ouidad. Now the curl cream, I loved it!!! I used it without a leave in. My hair was soft shiny defined and not too shrunken. Very very moisturized. I don’t like a cast on my hair so this was perfect. The smell is ok and glad it didn’t linger. It was just a 1-2 day wng, I have to be honest. Out of all the products that you’ve “lead” me too, this is one of my favs! Ouidad, mielle and now pattern❤ thanks Brittany❤

But what you said about the mousse being a base is so true. My new favorite combo is Camille Rose mousse with the Curl Maker. Keeps these. Noted! I still need to try the strong hold gel but I was worried it would be drying so now I know it has to be layered over something. I love both of them but my hair felt a lil bit heavy with the cream but it was still bomb! ofc 🤗
Straight up, this one looked better day 1. Both looked good though and I feel like you're hitting that stride where you can fenagle most products to work. That Camille Rose butter gel combo was your best wash day for me personally and that Butter Gel as a leave in / Cream is a holy grail for me at this point.
Love your hair. It’s giving me the combination that I need for my hair. I used the leave in and Gel and my hair looked like sideshow Bob so I returned the product. Ow I know that the gel is not for my texture. I wanted more weight from the leave in but I absolutely loved the scent of the palo santo leave in. I have the cream and I will be buying the custard because another brand of custard left me with hella flakes and no one using this custard mentioned having flakes. I think the questionable pattern reviews dominate the YT space are the early initiative rollouts... I think they (Pattern) heard the feedback and adjusted formulas. Pick up their treatment mask - it's a really great shot of protein when you need it!
Pattern products are best used on soak and wet hair, which is not really my thing . I have to apply the cream in the shower along with the leave-in. That defining cream is truly defining for the hair (not the most moisturizing) . I was throwing my hair into a ponytail the next day, so I just threw my hair in 6 loose twist to avoid tangling. I took my twist out the next day, literally looked like I did a thorough twist out . Never seen my hair like that before by doing nothing.
I was not sure what was about to happen with the cream base and custard topper..I was nervous but it worked very well! Good job, very pretty! I’m gonna try it! 😊

I'm basically watching almost all of your videos lol but I need to do your method. Working in smaller sections because I do get that "webbing" at my roots so my hair doesn't have as much movement and some curls get a little frizzy
See seee, in my most recent UA-cam video I was using Jell-O shot and I had my hair in twists already sectioned with my leave in and I applied the gel to the whole section then in sub sections 2-3 I then rake and smooth. Definition is popping and yes you are right def long. I be like 1.45 hrs lmao but I’m not rushing my wash n gos last me Sunday to Sunday 😛

I wear a bonnet. Lately, I’ve been putting a scarf over my hair to lay it down and then putting a bonnet over it so that it’s not moving around in the bonnet at night. Hope that helps. ❤️

You should start the video with two products. The current one that you think is undefeated and the new one your testing. Then, close it off with whether it was able to topple it or come close.
This might be a weird question, but do you cover your head when you shower? If so what do you use? My wash and go’s never last because of the steam from the shower
Typically every 3 to 4 days but sometimes I get a little caught up in that can go a little longer from about a week to week and a half. That’s not very often though.

I hate wash and go. The amount of work it takes after washing your hair to get to the final look is insane. You can’t do this look on the go for real. It should have been called “wash and stay”

My experience is that those two don't work together well, has to be either or. The curl gel by itself is pretty moisturizing.

I remember when the pattern first came out it had sulfate and silicone now there is none of that. I am now intrigued n trying it out.
The leave-in does have silicone in it, but I think that works well with their particular formula.

Not weird at all. I use a Glow By Daye shower cap. I love that it's satin lined and it preserves my hair well while in the shower.

Do u shampoo or do u cow ash every 3 to 4 days

I hate wash and go. The amount of work it takes after washing your hair to get to the final look is insane. You can’t do this look on the go for real. It should have been called “wash and stay”
