    In my experience, when using the Intensive Conditioner from Pattern it's best to have a spray bottle to add water. More product isn't usually needed, it just needs to be saturated with water. I think of it as a concentrated conditioner where they removed most of the water.

      @@BrittanyMia same. I started using pattern when it was first released and wasn’t a huge fan of the slip but when I add water it had the slip I needed to detangle easily. In fact I used it today and detangled by medium-long hair in 15 minutes. But the added water, even when your hair is already wet, is a necessity.

    Hey Brittany! From what I've read from professional curl stylists and my own stylists, the Denman brushes are mucchh better used for blowouts! The tension they put on your hair is made to blow-dry your hair straight and not detangle curly natural hair bc it make its snap back on itself and undo all the detangling you have done.. maybe that's why you like your Felicia Leatherwood better! Love your videos ! :)

    Your hair is growing very nicely! Would you ever consider giving a new mousse + gel combo try? I’ve heard the that the Camille rose honey spiked mousse + curl maker is a killer combo for moisture and movement. I’ve used the mousse on it’s own and it’s extremely moisturizing. I’m talking pillow soft hair. No product has ever made my hair as soft as that mousse does. It gives medium to light hold though. It’d be cool to see how it pairs with a gel.

    Your curls are so beautiful! I recommend Curls sea moss collection it will also give you that voluminous day 3 hair look on day 1 gel is called curl slime which lives up to it name but it’s hydrating and smells amazing it smells like their signature blueberry bliss line and it lingers which I love. The leave in is actually a curl cream and it is very moisturizing and really preps your hair for the gel. You can even use the foam mousse to do a wash n go or just use it to refresh which is the way I prefer since my hair did feel a little bit dry when I did only the mousse. The whole line is bomb and does what it claims it’s supposed to do.

    Denman brushes are really not meant for detangling hence why they feel like they do on our natural hair. They tend to rip hair out. It's meant to be a styling brush according to curl specialists. They recommend using the Felicia Leatherwood brush for detangling.

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Рік тому +1

      I get that, but on the website, it says curl defining, detangling, etc. And I’ve seen some curls specialist use it and it work well for them. Even other naturals on UA-cam use the Denman D38 as their detangling brush so I guess it just depends.

    • @lennettewarner8338
      @lennettewarner8338 Рік тому

      @@BrittanyMia True. But I feel like with how the teeth are on a original denman brush it's not for thicker coily hair. It was literally ripping the hair out of my daughter's head. And to pay all that money for a brush and have to remove teeth to make it work makes no sense to me. I like the paddle style denman for styling though. I use it to clump my curls together and that seems to work because of how the teeth are more spread out than the original denman brush. The Felicia Leatherwood will always be my preferred choice for detangling though. Certain combs and brushes are just not meant for certain curl types imo.

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Рік тому +1

      @@lennettewarner8338 yeah, I agree for sure. I used the same Denman that I used in this video to style after I read your comment and it’s absolutely a game changer for me. So thank you for pointing this out because it can definitely be used for that since I did spend a bunch of money on these brushes. The Denman D38 paddle brush detangles my nieces hair well in small sections once it’s soaking wet, but mine not so much.

It was giving me that “wet frizz” look and I know a wng will not last when I get that before it dries. I can live without it 😂 I get what you mean with wanting volume though. My hair slowly expands when I use highly defined creams with gels. It is annoying but I like that it last the longest. Anytime I am out of deep conditioner and I need some thing effective and affordable, I’m going for the TGIN honey miracle hair mask. I haven’t use that in about a year, but I compare everything to that deep conditioner. It has never failed me so I hold all deep conditioners to that standard.

    Can you try Alodia line one day? I love their deep conditioner. I heard they have a good curl cream and hair cream. They have a gel as well. I’m going to order those soon. For some reason I think their deep conditioner is helping my edges grow back because they wouldn’t grow at first

    Okay now I'm hype to try this leave in. I just bought the tiny size to try tomorrow on my wash day, and wondered if you'd used it on your channel yet and I'm happy to see that you did. Might have to pick up the custard too! I'm so looking forward to doing my hair tomorrow haha 💙

      @Brittany Mia definitely a 4.5/5! It felt really good going on my hair and then I paired it with an oldie but goodie that I haven't tried since I first big chopped and loved; the Giovanni strong hold gel. When I tell you the shine and moisture is outrageous right now! Definitely buying the full size of the leave in and doing this combo again!

      @Brittany Mia a good 10 years ago, I tried the 50:50 conditioner which was bomb, and the gel. The gel is exactly how I remember it, and I'm only just realizing it's botanical which is a plus. Only downside is it can be hard to fond. It's only in health food stores like Whole Foods, or on Amazon.

      @BrittanyMia  Рік тому

      Thanks! I use Cetaphil gentle cleanser and I wipe it off with a wash cloth, House of Dohwa Rice Bran Facial toner, Güderich rose water, cerave pm moisturizer, Cetaphil advanced relief lotion with Shea butter and Tretinoin at night.
      In the morning I do the same routine but with skinceuticals phloretin cf vitamin c instead of Tretinoin. And I only use cerave pm as my morning moisturizer instead of two. I use beauty of Joseon sunscreen as well as some other Koran sunscreens that I can’t think of. Not so much mineral sunscreen anymore since I look ghostly.
      I need to make a video but haven’t yet, so I hope this helps.

    Hi! Would you say your hair was softer after the pattern leave in or the aloe butter gel from Camille Rose? By day 3, the back of my hair always feels extremely dry and I lose my curl definition 😢

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Рік тому +1

      Ooo that’s a close call but I’d say upon immediate application, my hair was softer with the pattern leave-in. But I can’t really compare the results since I used two different topper stylers for the wash and go’s. I will say that the soft and moisturized feeling lasted longer with the Camille Rose aloe better gel.
