That's the thing though, this world is only the way it is because too many people are either looking for a way to escape its problems or just expecting somebody else to fix it for them. Life is neither fair nor unfair it is simply what you make of it. That world would also fall apart if the people in it were looking to simply escape to a better place.
An evil man takes advantage of others, a good man treats others as he would be treated, a great man stands between the evil man and the world regardless of the cost. If this world is to become a better place, we must stop trying to simply be "good" and strive for greatness instead.
We must sharpen our minds so as to avoid/weave our way through the logical and or emotional justifications that evil uses, learn to walk towards the fire, to enjoy the struggle, to relish the chance to test ourselves against all evil has to offer and fight it till the bitter end.
But the battle starts with yourself. You can't save anybody if you can't save yourself and you can't pick others up when you are on your knees.
Nothing worth doing is easy, and nothing worth having is free.

Sitting on the palace’s facade had been the Princess, awaiting for her Knight to return back from war. With the snow being thick and foggy, it was impossible to see from afar, not even the palace’s gates.
“Princess, you must be cold out there!” Her father calls out from inside as he finishes dinner. “Please do come inside!”
“One minute, father!” The Princess replies, almost eager at this point as she awaits for her lover. He was right, she was growing profusely cold by the minutes passed by. She didn’t care. All that she could think about was the cheerful cries of the her people when the soldiers returned and spotting out a particular man from that group.
But... when she stares beyond the vast land, unfamiliar lights with rhythmical patterns began filling the gates entrance. After moments of staring, her glimmering pupils finally focus at the group of uncoordinated men . . . men who hadn’t been the kingdom’s soldiers. Men who clumped at the gate before barging right past with sheer force, so forceful that it caused the hinges on either doors to break. Men who roared into the kingdom with seething, utter rage, chanting different languages that hadn’t been learned. Men who rode on horses with carriages which held cages full of prisoners - those prisoners being the kingdoms Knights and soldiers. Those familiar happy cheering of the public were not heard; in its place being pleads of cries, wails, and screaming from below. The men filled the streets showing no mercy as they gave dismissal waves to the civilians, some even being ran over when they didn’t have time to get out of the way.
