My life is really busy these days with the new puppy and countless projects I'm finishing up, so I'm sorry I haven't been as consistent as you guys have come to expect. I definitely have another one next week, but for a bit I'll be a bit more sparse on covers until my time frees back up more. Thanks for watching! As always, the full tabs to this are available to my Silver Level Patreon Supporters! Thank you for your support!
Hey man, it's all cool; gotta have a good life-work balance. I'm more worried for what the algorithm is gonna do to you because of that than anything else.
Oh, and to address your question in the description: Drums sound a bit... light? Not sure how to word this right... They don't seem to have the "oomf" on reverb from the initial strike sound I associate with drums, where in traditional drums it's caused by the plosive of the air in the drum itself, and with digitals they just do their best to reconstruct the sound. Went and relistened to your THE ROAR OF THE SPARK instrumental cover and the drums have the right "plosiveness" there, for me. I know it's not very technical in concept or terminology, but I hope it helps, Jules!
It's amazing how you can hear Toby Fox written over each and every single one of the notes in this song, it's really easy to spot his "signature" at this point
I think you think that just because it’s pokemon and their final bosses have only just started getting to be S-Tier. Volo is hands down one of the best bosses in gaming and Turo is easily second best of the franchise. If Gamefreak cut down on making new mons and had a story-focused game, we could get a real treat with their current writing team.
That Lietmotif at 1:36-1:48 and at 2:13-2:35 (including the lead up right at the 2:00 mark) always hit me. With how often that particular melody pops up in the game, it is very much the theme song for the *entire* journey. Say all you want to about performance issues and what not... this gen's soundtrack and storytelling were on point, and almost comparable with Gen 5.
I cant name whereexactly i heard the leitmotif’s specifically in others songs but ik they are there it felt like such a finaly i cried my heart out at that scene
If they made an entire game with the same passion as the story devs, it could be one of the best games ever made. Area Zero and Legends: Arceus post game were S-Tier
What I love so much about your covers and remixes is how when making them metal you also look into keeping the identity of the song and the theme it conveys instead of just "Ye, this'll be awesome metal" that I tend to hear from other artists on this platform. I still remember some of your earlier tracks and movements for Minecraft and Kirby 64 and Pokemon and how your worked on bringing the feel of those notes from 8-bit and piano to the guitar while capturing the spirit, like the somberness of Lavender Town or the thought invoking notes of C418 or the playfulness of Banjo Kazooie. Keep up the great work!
Jules is my favorite game cover artist on this platform for exactly this reason. Nobody else treated Megalovania's bass line with the respect it needed to make the song sound right. The top 10 boss battle medley is ridiculously fantastic, I couod really use a full cover of the Saturos battle.
Even if it only happens at the end, you’re the first cover of this I’ve heard that keeps the percussion at 2:00 as clean and out front as it is in the original. Great job I knew you’d kill it!
I do not see enough people complimenting that opening tapping to cover the glimmering sound effects, that was insane I mean I read the description but still
I have to agree! Although I played scarlet, its definately still awesome! Idk if you didnt include Sada in your comment because you havent seen that version, but she is great too.
@@spectralaria8648 he didn't because of the joke he made in the last half of the comment, read again and you'll get it (i also needed to read it twice to get it lol)
I hope they just take the level of writing, characterization and atmosphere and put it in the entire next game. Last part was not just good "for Pokemon", but genuinely well made
Y'know... I've been following you since Crypt Of the Necrodancer, and I gotta say you've managed to keep the same energy and spirit by also evolving and getting better with that guitar! 🤘🏻 Your covers are even better now (if they can), so take all the time you need to do them, 'cause, even if it takes you months, this is DEFINITELY super worth the waiting! TOP CREATOR ON THE INTERNET, FAMILYJULES! 🎸
Agreed on the middle part being the most difficult, but you nailed it! Great rendition. The new drums have a nice cut to their sound but I'm far from a professional sound engineer. Overall great cover!

Ngl if this the direction for storywriting GF or TPC takes in all for it. This was a cool ending that wasnt the central focus and still was a good game.
The sad thing about not being able to rematch them is that you can’t hear the song more than once on a playthrough and it’s sad cause it’s such a banger
Why are my favorite Pokemon battle themes centered around people in Lab Coats? First Colress, then Sada/Turo. I think I might have a type when it comes to music and characters. Someone name me a character who wears a lab coat and has a boss fight.
