Gil's Hi cupsole is a lot lighter than the vulcs half-cab or a rowan pro. Yes, Gil's cupsole is lighter than the Cab's and Rowan's vulcs. That's a skate shoe NBD.

overall (length) true to size but a bit on the wider side (esp. toe box) compared to eras or old skools
