Nobody wanted his autograph everybody was angry with him and he was warming up an hour before warm ups. I was able to get there early because my mom and I Would be the first ones to go through that door almost every time we had a routine where I knew the other team would warm up and where they would warm up and I would run there as soon as they let us in through the door. Kobe dying left a awkward moment where everyone who was playing wasn’t even in the mood anymore also in disbelief and everyone left the gym in silence and went home. That day was unforgettable

Kobe def hit different. For myself he was always just a great athlete and entertaining to watch. We have next to nothing in common. I quit sports after highschool. I'm a few years younger and plenty of shades whiter. I think what connected us is I can only imagine his feeling of helplessness being there with his baby girl. As a father that hit me the hardest. Seeing pics and videos of he and gigi. Nobody is immortal. I definitely held my kids a little tighter that night.

I went over to console my mother and then my wife showed me a post about Kobe and gogo reportedly dead in accident. One of those moments I had so many emotions going at one time I couldn't react right away I was already dealing with my step fathers passing. Didn't cry until the following day I was able to let it all out. Kobe Bryant was the ultimate person I idolized my whole life. I'm still in disbelief that Kobe Bryant was once here and no longer exists.
