It is a beautiful opera. I saw it last week and loved it. Kaufmann was a great cowboy with the swagger and the voice. C❤❤
I hope he'll be better than in The Walkiere so me time ago. I love him all the same. He is the best even if he sings de Directory.

I attended the matinee of this run, with Kaufmann & Westbroek. Fantastic! I just noticed that Kaufmann smirked when Susan said, “Dick Johnson!” In the score, Minnie sings, “Ah, per sempre Dick,” you’ll always be my dick 😂
The original character name was Penis Jackson. Dick is a step up.

Wenn nicht kann ich dir mal empfehlen auf der Website nachzugucken, der Ring wird in einem Jahr als Stadtjubiläum von 4 verschiedenen Frauen gemacht. Nächstes Jahr gibt es 3 wirkliche Zyklen (Neujahr, Ostern, Pfingsten) Tickets sind relativ günstig würde ich sagen. Wenn du Interesse hast kannst du ja mal dort vorbeischauen. Oder such auf UA-cam "Theater Chemnitz" dann kommst du auf den UA-cam Kanal und dort findest du Trailer zu den Stücken (und den anderen halt). Gute Sänger und 4 komplett verschiedene Ansätze. Ich habe bisher Rheingold, Walküre und Siegfried gesehen (Götterdämmerung kommt erst im Dezember) und mir hat es wirklich sehr gut gefallen.

He is such a nice guy. I wish I loved his voice more, but he doesnt have the squillo of the Italian tenor or the ring of a heldentenor. He sounds like a baitone with a freakish high range. " tenor" is as much a style and a timbre as it is a range. Maybe French opera? Samson perhaps, would suit him
