Thanks for posting. Those tires off the road and the trailer flipping over are hard to watch! I pulled my new fifth wheel home from the sale and backed it up on the blind side into a spot alongside a garage. Felt confidant about that. Still, I'm headed out again this week for the first long haul and got the jitters. Your post helps! Happy trails to you.
Glad to share and yes, that is a funny ringtone 😅 Even more funny is when Ken tells a joke during this session. It wasn't in this edit, but here is a direct link to the joke:ua-cam.com/video/XL3IVCtfW_g/v-deo.htmlsi=j4YtLmZs1WYZodJ7&t=915
Ken Rife's advice and instructions on properly driving on the road was fantastic. I learned some great tips from watching this video. I have saved this video to review again, and again if I need to. Thanks!
Hey! My husband and I are going full time. This past weekend we found a 2022 DRV and put a deposit on it. Out of excitement we came home and started watching UA-cam and found you guys. I kept telling my husband that you guys were familiar to me and then realized that I had followed you months ago on Tik Tok and even asked you about finding churches while you traveled. I didn't realize back then that we would be purchasing the very same DRV! Then I remembered that you built a desk for yours and that is one of the things we are trying to figure out. So we looked through all the videos and saw 1 and 2. Do you have a 3rd one coming up with the finished desk? Anyways, we enjoy watching you guys. We are excited for our new adventure. And hope someday to meet y'all! We are in Texas and also Christ followers. Blessings!
Hey Jennifer, Thanks so much for the message! We finished the desk.. almost haha! It's fully functional and I use it every day, but I still have a few finishing touches to make. Here is a link to our blog post on the project, along with the third video: midlifemilemarker.com/rv-office-space/ I read your message to Shelley and we're both excited that you guys are starting a similar journey. It would definitely be great if we could meet one day! Remind me of your tiktok name so we can keep up with your journey!
Thank you o much for making this! We’re becoming a full time family and we’re picking up our 43 foot fifth wheel tomorrow. I’ve pulled a trailer a couple of times, but nothing to this scale and this video has helped me to feel at least a bit more confident.
You are absolutely right about Ken Rife as well as the entire family and crew at RV's for Less. They run a top notch business there in knoxville. We've been carrying our Mobile Suites there for several years now and I've lost track of the number of times they have gone above and beyond to help us out.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have always said it’s really scary that literally anyone can go buy any size camper and the camper place will sell it to you, hook it up to your tow vehicle, give you a tutorial on the basics and send you off. Now the scary thing that there is no extra training, you are just sent off on your way.
Thanks so much. I'm experienced bumper hitch but going big fifth wheel Friday. All new to me truck and rig. I know it's setup right as my late father in law wasexcellent at this stuff just never had a chance to learn from him. This video addressed a lot of my concerns. Wish me luck. Thanks again.
Growing up my family had a 36ft travel trailer and my dad pulled it with a f350 long bed. In other words, our rig was the longest thing in the campground. LOL Now that I have my own family of 5, we want to get a fifth wheel. This was a very informative video. Thank you
You were fortunate to have a dealer give you some instructions. I didn't get any and I didn't hookup correctly when leaving after 2 nights on maiden trip. Oops, the pin was not in the receiver and locked in. Tail gate totaled and $3800.00 damage to front cap of 5th wheel,

Glad I could help! I hope your first long haul was a success!
This was very helpful thank you so much, no disrespect but the ringtone at 9:10 was funny 😂🤣

Hey Robbie! Long time no see. Thanks for watching! Maybe one day we’ll swing by the area. It’s been at least 25 years since I’ve been in the area
Thanks!

So true!
"Don't mix paint." "If you push the issue... you will be greezy side up." Words of wisdom.
Nobody wants to be greezy side up

I'm glad you found the video and found it useful! Good luck, Rick, and happy RVing!
That was helpful. I didn’t realize the trailer didn’t track in the same tire print as the trucks rear wheels..
Glad it helped! The experience taught us a lot and saved us from a lot of headaches for sure!
You can make aure brakes are working with a tug test makes sure your hitch is latched and brakes are working in one test
Thanks for the tip, Chuck!

Yikes! Sorry to hear about that. we were very fortunate to get some good instructions before we left. Most dealers just send yo on your way
