Yeah, I might have to send mine off soon, I have fret wear and still refuse to send it. Grinding on the decision hard. I am basically wanting exactly what you have done here, except keeping my pickups. Probably going to send mine to PTC. I have a custom 50, is that a 4x10 cab?
The Pokémon reference. Hahahaha.
Very sharp. Very erect
Hey man the axe looks great now I gotta watch the other video.
I wanted to thank you for helping me discover the guitars for vets program. I was not aware this was a thing but as a soldier who plays guitar I love it.
I sent an email to my local chapter to offer my services teaching or whatever they need. It would be really great if other military guitarists knew about this we could really make something awesome happen.
Thanks again. If you’re ever in GA, send me a PM I’ll buy you a beer man.
Benjamin Holladay Jeez that sure beats my comment
That axe looks sharper than ever! Nicely done Phil; enjoy Tyler!
531 likes and not one comment about the lack of comma in that sentence.... :)
Jason Clark, probably because it's a masterful lack of a comma.
,
Well played PRS. Well. Played.
PRS Guitars the sponsorship of these videos was very cool... and makes me want to buy a PRS guitar. So my next guitar a will be checking out a few PRS axes..... well done everybody involved, the guitar came out awsome and looks brand new now.
Great video! it was really fun to work on your guitar. She is one of the best PRS guitars I have ever played.
Phillip McKnight i hope you know your a saint of the guitar world
That was very nice to say.
he is god:D
Can I send you my guitar?
*look at his wallet*
On a side note...
Hey phil,
Since it was one of the first things he noticed, and you were hesitant to do it as a small part of the sharpening video...
Can you please show us how you got gorilla glue off a guitar finish?
Damn. I'll never let go of my baby. My precious Squier.
Dean Santon lmao
Dean Santon i dont know u
If i should laugh or cry
Ugandan Knuckles lmao ikr dude must be trolling
Some Squiers are even better than Fenders because they stay in tune longer. Some not all.
hunterxbox11 Not trolling at all. My Squier is the first electric guitar I bought. It has its certain value for me.
right before he opens the guitar case an ad shows up
Same
Jiro Millan same
Even worse it was a yousician ad for me
Same
ad block?
I watched this video until the unboxing. Then I watched the Phillip McKnight rebuild. After that, I came back to finish watching this video.
Same.
ditto
dafuq, Do you follow me?
Liked at Guitars For Vets. As a Veteran and PRS fan, just gotta say that is awesome!
I think Phil is the real deal when it comes to guitar upgrades and maintenance. Besides the very useful upgrades like the adjustable bridge saddles and locking tuners, the new pickups make it more versatile and a different sounding guitar.
Lawrence Gillespie watching Phil's videos is great to get tips and ideas for guitar mods. Last Summer I bought a MIJ Jackson that, due to the age, the pickup rings began to crack on the mounting screws. It doesn't affect nothing besides looks, but the next time I change strings I'll definitely look for some new ones with recessed holes.
When Phillip's video shows up first in your inbox it kinda ruins the surprise
Same thing happened to me
Big L
Oof
As a veteran who just got into learning how to play (if you can call what I do playing), I can't thank you enough for the donation you made. I'm lucky enough to be able to buy a couple of economy guitars to learn on, but I'm grateful for anyone who recognizes, remembers, and appreciates my fellow veterans
I can’t believe this day has come....
NOOO DONT GO!!!
I’ll adopt him
Shit be quiet piece of fucking crap
@@amberwilliamson5724 Why so unnecessarily aggressive?
PRS: "We continue to push the curve beyond what others would consider perfection"
Phil McKnight: *BET*
Other guitarists: Had to send my main guitar off for repair *plays one of their many other guitars*
Me: Had to send my guitar off. Guess i can't practice for a week or two
Honestly, just keep a cheap ass guitar so you'll at least have something.
Probably
Same
That’s why I keep a cheap backup that plays fine enough but isn’t anything I’d use seriously.
I know it's been a year since this comment was posted but right now I just typed electric guitar reverb sorted by lowest price and there's a Ibanez gio grx for 40 bucks, is it a great guitar? Nope, but you can absolutely play it when your guitar is getting work done to it plus it seems to be in very good condition, i was expecting finding pieces of crap on that budget, but that's an actual ok practice guitar.
Just subscribed to Phillip McKnight. I've seen his videos before. Finally subscribed. Love his love for PRS! I just bought my first PRS a month ago. It's amazing!
Thank you for your support of vets!
Dang! Phil really nailed it. That Guitar is a pretty versatile instrument that hits on all cylinders. Thanks to both You, and Phil. That was awesome.
looks so much better, and thanks for the guitars for vets website,I didn't know about it!
I really dig your channel man, been watching for a long time. Dig.
I'm only a couple minutes in having come from Mr. McKnight's channel...I dig your channel already...good partnering by all. Thank you! Nice charity too!
I love this, both this and Phillip's are excellent videos.
Beautiful guitar man! Phil really did a good job!
Wow. Those new pickups have taken that guitar to a new level. This is also some of the best playing I've heard from you.
Good on you for thinking of the vets!
You a lucky man Tyler!! Looks amazing, I bet it plays even better
Lol at that goodbye video at the beginning. :D
Baby came out great and sounds amazing with those new pickups. Have fun playing it!
The PRS is gorgeous, and damn is that tone super sick. Of course anything in your hands sounds amazing.

Great charity Tyler! I'm a vet and guitar player myself and appreciate you donating to guitars for vets.
Sounds cool with emotion and joy Tyler.
Finally you have good tone :) Great collaboration! Kudos to everyone!
Absolutely breathtaking, she is Reborn may she live long and prosper!
I’m really late to this party an I came here from Phil’s channel. I LOVE the mean, menacing growl you’re getting with that distortion. It walks the fine line between love and hate. Also, that was one of the most impressive legato licks I’ve seen right around 9:46. Think I’m gonna have to subscribe.
Saw Phil's vid. I see your excitement. I've been playing over 50 years. I understand. Have fun with it!
Love your love for PRSs.
Sounds gorgeous!
Now that top‘s shiny again. And what sound! You couldn‘t know what could be better until Phil did it. Great job damn!
Love it. You are both class acts.....
WOW Amazing sound an KILLER playing. Awesp,e. Phil did a grreat job making a super guitar even better. Keep it up. Enjoy your new BABY.

Great meeting you at Experience PRS - nice presentation there!
Worlds are colliding!!! Is anyone else having a George Costanza moment?
Great collaboration you too!!
Looks good. Congrats Tyler.
I've been following phil's channel its great
Beautiful man just beautiful in every way
No G chords while checking it out? Dislike.
Ha lmao
Lol
just seeing this and I cried.. Thanks bro
LOL the dinner table was classic! USMC Vet, thanks for the Axe for Vets post too!
Very heart touching video
Nice playing! That guitar is beautiful
Looks and sounds GREAT!
This is by far my favorite Sharpen my Axe!! The guitar looks great and those pickups sound great especially with the coil tap with a clean tone
That’s too awesome! Lawrence was my guitar teacher for a number of years!
I normally don't like green for guitars... but yours looks absolutely beautiful!
Great job, Phil!
As a recently retired Army guy, Thank you for helping support veterans!
Gotta love youtubers working together.
Those chords were so beautiful, I momentarily slipped out of consciousness and into the realm of musical bliss.
That guitar is beautiful!! I’d go so far as to say my dream guitar that I’ll never afford. Your luck to have such a beauty dude
Wow, I subscribed to his channel, it's really good. I think he did a really good job on your axe, for sure
Now I want a PRS guitar....Thanks bunches Tyler!!!
That sounds amazing!
your guitar is making my A-7 vibrate to the video. i can't even its so good
That new tone is NAAAASTY, MAN 🤘
I've been building musical instruments (and guitars) now for 61 years and I can say that Phillip McKnight is a grand master. You were very lucky to have known about him. You now have a master piece. Enjoy.
It shines like a mirror! And of course it sounds real good! Awesome!
Baby looks amazing!
i'm in love with this guitar so badly
That guitar turned out great! Great playing also.
Great mods! I have custom J.S. Moore 57/08 in neck and 59/09 in the bridge of my 2006 PRS Custom 22. Love your channel!
Since subscribing and loving this channel I want a PRS now!!! I remember holding one at a local guitar joint and loved it, but I didn't think I could do it any justice, but now....it makes me want to practice more so I can do one justice!
That guitar came up a few notches! Nice work Phil : )
...and wow, that pedal rocks out with it's xock out! ..I didn't say it.
Congrats on the guitar!
OMGoodness... Painfully Silly to watch, but frkn Hilarious at the exact same time (the intro)! Great video. Your SC turned out spectacular! 👍 Kudos to Mr. Phillip McKnight!!
PRS better sponsor you and give you your own signature green PRS
fuck yes they'd better
Static Voicings He’s endorsed by them.
A Guitarist well he’d better get a signature then
Great video. I love the way you did this. And my goodness, can Phil sharpen an axe or what? That guy knows what's up. I've never seen that guitar look so good. Great playing as always.
That guitar is really beautiful, especially in the light, also that pedal sounds Sick.
The pedal and I just saw this is a low gain overdrive. It goes well with high gain amps. But into a clean amp. Nope. It’s very low gain. It dies push an already overdriven amp nicely but if you need a higher gain pedal. The builder offers the 87 or 87 deluxe.
Damn! Looks new. Good job Phil.
damn your playing is very fire bro! big ups from brazil!
Wow it looks amazing
Phil is the man!
Liked for the Pokémon quote man haha.
French spotted
Haha not. I'm Greek dude :P for real.
Happy new year 2021
Some thoughts after playing it would have been cool. Looks great, sounds great!
Love your videos, great sense of humor, shredtastic. I don't even like shred but you ROCK bud. Tasteful to the core. Know what it's like to give a favorite guitar a full Monty Make-Over. When I did my old Tele I literally cried ot, "I am NOT worthy.". Great PRS before & now will check out Phil McKnight's video.
It sounds much better!😍
I love that he used mostly PRS parts too. Awesome.
You donate guitars to veterans? Awesome brother! We appreciate that!
Good man
Pikachu never wanted to evolve tho
Excellent!!!
Glad she came back, I was worried!
Sick shredding at the end.
Damn that guitar sounds more clearer, more in tune, sparkly as in damn hot!!! Phil did a great job. That pedal cleared the fuzziness that baby gave off before, definitely a win Tyler.
lazy Guitarist used purple 68 plexi pedal one on sale for way less than original price barely used on reverb.
I loved the guitar
😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I think this is one of the most beautiful guitars ive ever seen
Jeez it sounds nice! Gorgeous! :')
That pedal has that "amp about to explode" tone to it. Sounds great!
guitarplayergeek I have to get one. And I just did. Hope it sounds like that in person. Phil sent Tyler one for free though. I had to pay because I’m not a utube personality. 😢It’s a good pedal though. 👍.
@@andrewjackson829 it didn’t. It’s an overdrive and it does push an already high gain amp into more high gain. And it’s fine for that. But into a clean amp it’s a very low gain pedal.
I started with this video, then as soon as the box showed up, I switched over to Phillip's video, watched that, then came back here and finished this one. I think I did it right.
I'm like this with my Gibson Les Paul Classic. I call it the Duke and it's my baby. And Phil's upgrades made your baby more awesome!
Right when was about to open it an ad came up on my screen dang it!
Love it!
