      Yeah, I might have to send mine off soon, I have fret wear and still refuse to send it. Grinding on the decision hard. I am basically wanting exactly what you have done here, except keeping my pickups. Probably going to send mine to PTC. I have a custom 50, is that a 4x10 cab?

      Hey man the axe looks great now I gotta watch the other video.
      I wanted to thank you for helping me discover the guitars for vets program. I was not aware this was a thing but as a soldier who plays guitar I love it.
      I sent an email to my local chapter to offer my services teaching or whatever they need. It would be really great if other military guitarists knew about this we could really make something awesome happen.
      Thanks again. If you’re ever in GA, send me a PM I’ll buy you a beer man.

    I think Phil is the real deal when it comes to guitar upgrades and maintenance. Besides the very useful upgrades like the adjustable bridge saddles and locking tuners, the new pickups make it more versatile and a different sounding guitar.

    • @acoffeewithsatan
      @acoffeewithsatan 6 років тому +10

      Lawrence Gillespie watching Phil's videos is great to get tips and ideas for guitar mods. Last Summer I bought a MIJ Jackson that, due to the age, the pickup rings began to crack on the mounting screws. It doesn't affect nothing besides looks, but the next time I change strings I'll definitely look for some new ones with recessed holes.

      I know it's been a year since this comment was posted but right now I just typed electric guitar reverb sorted by lowest price and there's a Ibanez gio grx for 40 bucks, is it a great guitar? Nope, but you can absolutely play it when your guitar is getting work done to it plus it seems to be in very good condition, i was expecting finding pieces of crap on that budget, but that's an actual ok practice guitar.
