Rob and Lee together again! I love Pete and all the other fellas too, but the old Chappers and The Captain bring back so many great memories. All the stupid, idiotic stunts they used to do are the best memories I have from a bygone era. All the Christmas videos, elfs, dropping guitars off roofs, blowing up speakers and all the other shenanigans that made them the comedic duo. And I learned a ton about the guitar. Love it!
I feel like Rob, Lee and Pete are the top gear of the guitar world. Rob is the Jeremy, Lee is Richard and Pete is James. Many companies have tried to follow and they just don’t come close. There is an emptiness to the other companies videos but Anderson’s have just nailed it. I think you guys need to make a best of video such as robs crazy blindfold guesses, best general moments and others. You should celebrate your channel with a thank you to everyone who is involved as part of the best of video. Doesn’t have to be for any reason or milestone but just because. Cheers for the videos, I’ve ended up spending thousands!
I know people like to give Rob a hard time, but his blindfolded playing is seriously impressive. This channel got me into playing guitar years ago and it's always fun to see these videos. Reminds me of the "old" days.
For the love of God keep doing this I love how things always change and nothing but respect for the other people but this is the magic right here this is what made it keep this going as much as you can
Robs understanding blindfolded what brand he has, finish used, materials used, pickups used baffles me. I love chapman guitars aswell, but they could be so much more world leading.
I have been enjoying Anderton's UA-cam channel for quite a long time, and it is always a treat to see Chappers back in the studio with El Capitan. Cheers, gentlemen.
It's like you two were never apart! Your synergy is incredible, I hope you keep making these! Also, the production and editing has really improved, congrats to the team!
They are right down the street from me in Carlsbad CA. Also Kiesel is down the street and Suhr about 30 minutes from me.. Cool to see Iconic getting some love..
nice to hear some Dorje rifs, miss that band. That Castedosa sounded immense, close between that and the PRS for best sounding out of a top draw bunch.
Indeed.. I wouldn't advise playing Texas hold'em with that freak of nature. Word on the street insists he can smell face cards, and feel the suites! Whilst simultaneously hearing a flush.
They do. Something though to me about their guitars lately. I don't much like the tailpiece and their overuse of mixing gold and stainless together, lol.
Lee protecting the Castedosa headstock was amusing. One relic guitar bumping another relic guitar is not going to matter. It is already INTENTIONALLY smashed and destroyed. One more bump only ADDS to the relic.
American and this is my channel looking for most things guitar. Great content everytime. Fun and playful with serious work. I think the acceptance of beginner to pro with everything ranging that gambit, with 0 hint ever of snubbing is in the sauce for the greatest in the industry and of those on UA-cam. That do what you love and you will never work a day of your life comes to thought here. Excellent content as per usual. Keep'em coming!
Rob is a master. We saw him @ Guitare-en-scène, what a man, what a player, what a musician. We miss him @ Andertons, him and Rabea.. all my respect to Danish Pete we love too.
Would love to see one of these types of blindfold tests (ranked from most to least expensive) and put an Eastcoast ST Deluxe along with one of the Iconic strats!
Great vid, and good to see Chappers and the cap'n reunited. I was going to buy all of them, but didn't hear any clean tones. Gotta hear some cleans before I buy.
Oh my word it was so good to see an Andertons video with Rob Chapman again. You have great presenters but the chemistry between Chappers and the Captain is undeniable. You can tell they are great friends and it shows in the videos. As for Rob his guitar mastery is off the charts. I could sit and listen to Rob play all day. His sense of melody and different styles is second to none. Listen to Dorje or Clockwork Wolf & Co. you know that Rob is the real deal. Rob really inspires me to sit down and play guitar. In my personal opinion it just doesn't get any better than a video with these two in it. I hope you have more of these in the "can" for us. Lol
Andertons's videos are as good as ever! And I don't have words for Rob's knowledge 😮 PS: when is Santana making a comeback? I miss his galactic philosophy 😇
Without a doubt the Rob Chapman blindfold challenges are my favorite - and not to be left out Danish Pete comes in a close second! Keep ‘em coming, kids! Cheers, Bobby from California
Cracking video. The Castedosa sounded huge, as did the Hansen and Iconic. Interesting hearing these unattainable guitars, would be great to hear others getting the blindfold test. Think Chappers needs a safety perimeter between him and any other equipment, I really thought that the Castedosa was going to get totalled. He would make a great Chief Creative Vandaliser (Relic’er).
My most expensive guitar an HSS Floyd Rose Fender Ultra Luxe with stainless steel frets at $3,700.00 Canadian. Your prices are in Pounds, yikes! Good to see Chappers back. Let's see more blindfold challenges with pedals and amps. Digital vs tube amp. Circuit board vs hand made amps. My pedals are two Boss GT-1000's, one Boss ME-90, one Eventide H90. I keep one GT-1000 at home to experiment with on a 32 inch monitor for editing and a road tested patches GT-1000 for stage that I just play thru. Getting back into looping with a two track 15 hour Boss RC-500. Can hook up a second (slave) RC-500 with a MIDI cable to double tracks or sequences.
I love them all but haven’t seen a lol of chappers lately so understandable so many are happy to see it. I just still wish he didn’t do so many of those open low e hits followed by bends at a high e or double bends 😂
I know there's been some controversy around Rob (though I'm not in the know as to the details) but these videos are an entertaining blast from the past, and Rob undeniably is incredibly good at this type of thing. He could legit smell the roasted neck which is insanity to me.
He knows these things about these instruments. 3 of the 6 in order, he was ab;e to make the call on the PRS & LP for identification. These are obviously instruments I wou;dn't bother to look at beyond their price tags. Realize they were higher up on the rack or in their own room of expensive. So I'll wander back out into the area where they keep the Chinese & Mexican guitars.

Agreed! No disrespect to any of the other guys, but Chappers and the Captain are what got me to subscribe and follow this channel!
Good to have the old duo still going strong!
Was thinking the same thing when I saw it pop up
Love seeing them share their love of guitar
Thanks to the team for making such a fun video, absolutely love the editing. These are always a blast :-)

Ahhhhhhh, no.
nailed it!
I know people like to give Rob a hard time, but his blindfolded playing is seriously impressive. This channel got me into playing guitar years ago and it's always fun to see these videos. Reminds me of the "old" days.
People give Rob a hard time due to their jealousy.
And, you know. Everything he'd said and done.
What do they give him a hard time for? Genuine question, I don't know much about him.

The best entertainment on the internet! The editing in these episodes is life changing.

The Iconic was in a tone universe of its own, the extra harmonic content. Loved Rob's descriptions, he knows his onions.
Reminds me of the Friedmans, they also have that "extra" harmonic content in a hot-rod fashion.
@@alexlubinski7795 Dave Friedman is about as close to the truth as it gets when it comes to understanding tone.

The look on Lee’s face when Chappers is waiving head stocks around recklessly 😅
I kinda feel like that is the theme of every blindfold challenge
I love when Rob is on the show. His ear is second to none.
Newest quote from Chappers "Can I have the purple pain monster?"
That will definitely be a new S&M term. Just need to add a please. 😂
Nice to see Rob back for a spot. The original twins are and were the best.
Things have never been the same on this channel since Rob moved away I love these videos so much. Got me into UA-cam itself let alone back into gear.
That Les Paul sounded amazing but I really liked the Danish tele.
Same here, really cool sound!
nice to hear some Dorje rifs, miss that band. That Castedosa sounded immense, close between that and the PRS for best sounding out of a top draw bunch.
Hi! Do you know what song did he play on Prs? Those hammer ons part
When he smelled that the neck was baked maple, I lost it... what a savant! Great content, as always!
That was truly incredible
If you ever had an axe with roasted Maple you Can absolutely understand what he was talking about ! Distinctive smell 😁
Indeed.. I wouldn't advise playing Texas hold'em with that freak of nature. Word on the street insists he can smell face cards, and feel the suites! Whilst simultaneously hearing a flush.
I thought that was the easiest thing he did!
He says he didn’t smell anything but could feel it…
If you really love guitars, you gotta love these guys… Always entertaining, always funny, always amazing!
That first strat sounds INSANE 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I always loved it when Rob played the Epiphone blindfolded and said it sounded better than the Gibson LP!! Trying to guess them by the smell...
That PRS is absolutely stunning! They just know how to make classy looking instruments
They do. Something though to me about their guitars lately. I don't much like the tailpiece and their overuse of mixing gold and stainless together, lol.

Thanks for what you guys do, it brightened my day. Lost my dog yesterday and this made me feel better. Nice to see Rob too
Wowzers, Chappers is such a clever guitar connoisseur and fab player.
This duo is the reason I subscribed to this channel.
The PRS is a stunningly beautiful guitar.
Ouff! That black strat really got me! I want that one!
Me toooooo!😅
Props as always to Rob for his knowledge.👌🏽
Chappers.. you sound great, Captain holds the show together.. really enjoy watching you two, thanks!
always great to see these 2 guys have a great time playing guitars
I couldn't settle at all with that close set up, And Rob not given a hot crap about fancy stuff!!! NICE TO SEE YA CHAPPERS!.
That prs just sounds amazing.
love seeing chappers, his guitar knowledge is insane!
Good to see you guys together again
Waiting for this for so long
Thank you so much for bringing Rob back
The finish on that PRS is incredible!!!

‘Smell that volute!’. Never thought I’d ever hear that phrase, but I feel it should now become a standard part of guitar playing vernacular! 😂
That should be on their merch!
"Smell the glove"
The Les Paul is simply awesome and sounded the best to my ear. Great video!

Black Betty!. One of the all time classic riffs.
Dude...it's freaking impressive how a Gibson Les Paul sounds like nothing else but a GLP. The guitar's distinctive sound is unmistakable...!
How do you figure that out? I guarantee you couldn't pick a Gibson out of a line-up if you were blindfolded and just listening.
Andertons is the BEST! Just what I needed after a very long day!
Great vid, and good to see Chappers and the cap'n reunited. I was going to buy all of them, but didn't hear any clean tones. Gotta hear some cleans before I buy.
Entertaining and eye opening, this was truly a Fun time with Chappers and the Captain. Thanks to everyone involved. 🎸👍👍
Thanks for making me anxious again for the results!
Glad to see both!
Blimey, Chappers is totally smoking in this. As the old song says “But boy, could he play guitar’
As impressive as always. Would have loved to have slipped in an East Coast or a squire as Robs expectations were set so high
I really enjoyed this episode. It seemed the old dynamic was back, would be great to have more of this again.
Sarcasm?
Always great to see Chappers and The Captain again
Rob really is a special cat. Very good ears. He’s the reason I started watching YT way back when!!
Maybe it’s just me, but heavily distorted guitars sound similar. I would Ike to hear the guitars through a clean amp too
Amen!😢

Are you rob Chapman?
Agree with you. Rob is an awesome player and teacher. Having both Chappers and Captain in the same video rocks!!
The dynamic duo videos are always welcome 👍
When he said smells like baked maple I started rolling. Wtf Rob?! How do you do it man? Brilliant
Baked maple smells like maple syrup, it’s pretty distinct!
It actually does smell like maple syrup. My guitar does.
Good to see Rob back on the channel.
Is it really, is it Si?

Chappers - as usual - NAILS the identifications. Unbelievably good at this blindfold.
The process of Rob "getting to know" a guitar is just exquistely beautiful...
Its like a first date dance
Smelling and groping?
Love it when the band’s back together 😊
Greetings Rob and Lee. good to have you back. 👍

Cool enough, guys. Thanks Lee for bringing in the Primo chops man, Mr. Chappers. Please do it again. Cheers.

Rob knew the Fender strat was a custom shop very easily by the extremely heavy relicing job he could feel.
I think the weight, neck shape and fret height were the giveaways for him. Always helps to have a distressed paint job 😀
