Thanks for letting me take a picture with you
im jealous
Tyler seems like a pretty down to earth dude. He makes time for his fans when they see him out in the wild. 😎
Your mom seems cool.
@@TheDantheman12121 thanks
nice
6:34 I love that he's a fan and you still introduced yourself
What ever happened to "this is the last guitar I'll ever buy"
I mean to put *new guitar 😃
You don’t remember the formula of the perfect number of guitars to own? It’s however many you own, plus one.
Managed to get a decent deal on my last guitar by coming completely clean with the sellers; I said, “I don’t need this guitar, I just really want it…but if you want me to buy it, you’ll have to come up with a decent price because my missus is certain I don’t need it or deserve it.” PRS SE Custom 24 secured for £150 under list price 🤣
Hopefully it's the last guiscar he's ever going to get, your suppose to make a Frankenstein guitar, not your own face brother, take care. 😊👍
We tell ourselves and our significant others that it’s the last guitar and we possibly believe it at the time until we decide we need just one more
If Honer was good enough for Prince, we all need one!
Love the fact that you are honoring the guitar teacher who helped get you to where you are. A lot of people don't aknowledge the people who inspired them and helped them in life to get them where they are and I love you being so honest and the fact that you immediatly jumped to make a video about it to honor your teacher and let others know to honor the ones who helped them in life! Keep up the amazing work!
Not crazy about the colour but it's a nice guitar. And honestly, you can never have enough guitars. They all inspire you to play differently...
Dude. Meeting fans must be the greatest feeling. Kudos man. Made that kids week.
I love finding a really unusual but rock solid 'cheap' guitar like that, maybe a little banged up, and having free license to customise/rebuild it.
Over the years I've found a few gems and switched out literally every component, even repainted it or changed the entire neck and created some of my favourite guitars I've ever owned... You've got my fingers itching again! Enjoy it, it sounds great.
Cheap guitars are fun regardless, modding them out with what you want is so much better in my opinion than getting an expensive guitar with an ideal set up on it from factory.
Bro is really humble, hope he stays that way
I have an old ESP Original Snapper from like 98 that's like that... it just has so much mojo, plays great, sounds great, has a few dings and I don't feel the constant pressure to protect the edges at all costs. Does everything so well.
Congrats! Sounds wicked! Unique sound.
Hohner used to make a lot of really good, solid guitars! I've had a Hohner L75 LP copy for over 30 years that was probably my first real stage-worthy guitar. Over the years, I've swapped out pickups, electronics, and hardware, but I honestly didn't have to -- I gigged and recorded with it long before that, and it sounded good even then and was (and is) built like a tank. Your Hohner sounds great...enjoy!
Congrats Tyler! Peace
Congrats¡¡ Its always great finding one of the guitars that you were inspired by early in your playing journey.
Love the jam you did with that guitar. The way it sounds and the association you have with such a model gives off the warmth feeling in tone. Now I would say that is a guitar purchase to treasure.
it's a tap, amp i right?
That guitar has a sweet static punch to it. Kinda classic and new all in one. Always enjoy your videos.
One of those greatly underrated instruments that came out when shredding was a dirty word, and hence never got the love and attention it deserved. I remember seeing it in a guitar magazine back in the 90's and feeling it would be a great guitar to play. Happy to be proven right all these years later!
That great! Good luck with it!!!!
That Hohner is a perfect example of why I don't watch S-type, T-type, LP videos any longer. There are so many interesting guitars out there, past and present. Life's too short for ANOTHER Gibson/Fender video. Thank you for showing us this cool guitar! It reminds me of the Samick Rose Anne a bit.
So great to see you interact with your fans. You are inspiring the next generation to pick up the guitar. That definitely made that kids day, and who knows, one day he could be selling out arena's and reference the time he met Tyler and made him want to play more!
Thanks he definitely does inspire me I hope I do sell out arena's
This is a must see shop for anyone in Nashville that loves guitars! They truly have an amazing selection of vintage gear.
I have an 87 Hohner ST Special. I've played it more than any of the guitars I own. Love it. I even like the neck pick up sound. :)
That place is awesome! My band and I stopped in to look around last year while on tour. Blew my mind with some of the gear they have!!
Really cool video. I've seen thousands of guitars between working at music stores and being obsessed myself, but I've never seen that one. So thank you for teaching me something new brother! Keep on rockin! You play very well!
Awesome find! And very cool meeting a fan.
Loved what you were playing along to. What was that, GREAT MELODY?!
Great video as always! Kramer necks are my favorite. It seemed like no matter what the price point was the carve on the necks always felt great.
Get some Scar Zone on yer noggin. I had a scar on my throat that looked like I lost a fight with a bear and the stuff worked wonders!
Always thinking about the kids, way to be the hero we all need Tyler. Makes a way better scar story too lol 😂
The first tune you played when you got home should be on your next album!😊
I was there back in June! Great shop!
Awesome tone.
Super cool back story… amazing guitar!
Cheers from Texas!
🤘😺🤘
Michael
That looks to be a Wilkinson trem. They’re cool and feel quite different to any other bridge. Def a neat guitar!
Congrats!!!
Dude that guitar is SLICK! And I loved your reggae cut. Sounds so good! ✊🏽😌
Thank the UA-cam gods for reminding to get your guitar course before the sale ends!!!
yo sick guitar, tyler. you hinted on a video on your new keisel. cant wait to see that one
Cool vibe 😎song @7 mins on the dot, definitely worth a listen. That little Hohner sounds great, looked like you were really feeling it . Cool vid.
That guitar looks and sounds great!
7:42 the way you play is just incredible. I mean that is beautiful!
Dude I felt the dopamine rush as you were leaving with a spur of the moment guitar and a fan and his mom come say hi. Bad ass
Ty Bob, it only goes to prove that it’s the player and not how much if a load you can blow on something, keep it rockin’
Wish I knew you were in town. I am an avid watcher of your channel. Bought my first LesPaul custom there in 82 for 300 bucks, and 42 years later, it's still my number one goto🤘🤘🎶🎵🎶😎
Nice find and buy... Love the content
That mom was so sweet. I seen moms be so creepy for their kids when meeting an influencer/celebrity. We need more adults like that because taking your kid to a strangers houses isn’t normal (yes parents do that shit for their kids to meet a random UA-camr)
I'll let my mom know
honestly a gorgeous guitar. A bit different from everything else I´ve seen, but looks elegant and built for speed and comfort. This feels like what the RG would have been in an alternate universe I love it
dude that song makes me feel your nostalgia .. or mine :) well done :) and good for you :)
That is a sweet guitar. I normally don't pointy/weirdly shaped strat bodies, but man that one is really nice. Obviously sounds great too.
Saw a Rivera amp in that store when you took a pic with that fan. Now THAT is a fantastic amp I wish I never sold.
Sweet sounds coming out of that thing.
Unique tone i like it....
That Hohner really sounds lovely. I had for a while a Hohner HRB Bass I bought from JuliaPlaysGroove once for ca 100$. Looked pretty much the same to this except it was blue and being a bass of course. Played well too in the hands of a guy I sold it to some time later. Cool stuff.
Nice sentimental find. Sounds great 👍
i love that body type like a super strat, i would love to hear this in a metal context.
Love hearing that snarky puppy in the background of the shop 😊
Wilkinson bridges never fail to feel great, I've got a floating trem similar on a custom strat and it'll stay in tune no matter what I do to it!
Wilkinson FTW %1000 (❤❤my 99 Carvin)
~ From my 'Floyd-free household ' 😋
Great vid and one of my favorite guitars I’ve ever owned was also a Hohner. Far more importantly is that grove at the end of the video. Les-Triang by Sugoi. I’ve never heard them before and had to Shazam it. (Shame, shame…it should have been in the video notes.) So good!!!
I know its wierd but I always liked guitar store employees, they always just eager to help you and they always have this positive vibe!
Love the scar stories…keep ‘em going.
We all have scars…whether physical or emotional…welcome to the club …sweet guitar by the way👍
Tyler... It's been decades.... was that "Wave?"
And that Hohner sounds amazeballz!
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Glad I stopped in. 🤙
Need to see more of that Jazz master please
Have been following you for a long time
OUTSTANDING 🎉
Those Wilkinson trems are easily my favourite non-locking vibrato. Just love the feel of 'em. Dont' have a guitar with one, at the moment, because they're not as common these days, unfortunately. Gonna have to throw one on a partscaster or something .
Once had the Hohner G3T Steinberger copy guitar. It was a wonderful little guitar with half the price tag of the Steinberger at the time and even had genuine Steinberger parts. It's neck was thicker but other than that, it truly was a winner. This video's one looks to be no exception and it's wonderful to see alternate guitar brands given some air time. Great manufacturers like Kramer, ESP and Hohner don't get given the love they truly deserve. Then Musicman and PRS have bargains galore as well. Don't forget about Tokai and if you have the dosh, Parker as well. Thanks for sharing and this viewer for one congratulates you on a splendid acquisition indeed. Hohner makr wonderful guitars!!!!!(See it's not all about Harmonicas after all 😊)
Perfect intro about the scar!! :)
Look, it’s in the hands. But with a little overdrive on them those pickups are freaking rich for sure. Great buy.
For some reason I always associate high action and uncomfortable necks with Hohner. Must be down to some bad experience I had trying one out at our local store as a kid.
Nice you incorporated that lesson into your demo at the end. Your teacher would be proud!
hey Tyler that piece you played demonstrateing the BOOST, I think if you played that on a Tele with a bit of Twang it would sound sick.
I bought a Hohner HRG std. from a pawn shop a couple years ago. It's neat shade of blue. Matte and metallic at the same time. It's very similar body to the one in this video. Fun guitar to play.
I've managed to avoid guitar shops in the almost 2 years I've lived right outside Nashville. This video makes continued avoidance significantly more difficult. Nice guitar!
we all have special guitars like this, for me its an early 2000s schecter C1 elite in black with abalone binding. my friend had it when we were learning guitar in high school and it was by far the nicest guitar we had between us, he passed away and i never got an answer on where that guitar went
Dude Beautiful,
Dude. That scar is brutal and looks painful. Adds character, though! Great video as always. Stay safe and stay well.
Great minds and all that Tyler, I have the same keyfob holder…now, if only I had your skills. And guitars! 🤣
I love those old Wilkinson tremolos. My guitar I regret selling was a mid 90’s Washburn Mercury with one of those
Dude, you literally have the fender headstock profile on your forehead now!!...Legend!!
Good deal on that sweet axe man!
Ah, the Wilkinson bridge! Great find.
That’s a sweet guitar man!
I've shifted my thinking from wanting a new guitar, to wanting lessons, checking out Guitar Super System now!
When are we getting a vid on that awesome Kiesel?
Great video brother. Super cool taking pics with fans! Isn't that trem a Wilkinson?
We are gonna need to know the real story on that wound tho man...
Awesome Bro!🤘🖖
Had one of these. They’re badass
Great find
That guitar went from Hohner to Hornier. Dayum that crispy bend, gave me chills.
I’ll never forget when I first picked up a guitar. My music teacher as well, he had a fender strat sea foam color. Back in 8th grade I was like 11/12 years old and I fell in love with it ever since. I’m 29 now and I still play. I’ll never forget my music teacher, Mr. Steyer you rock! Haha he’ll probably never see this.
dear sir, you make videos I enjoy. thank you.
the jam on the guitar was awesome
At the end of their connectivity run Thomann was selling whole sets of those Entwhistle/White single could for 19€. Good sounding and cool looking pickups with a unique build concept. I bought a set but I have no idea where all of them went. Without a boost they were too low powered for my needs at the time.
I think the guitarist who wasn’t watching where he was going was the samurai guitar man lol
of course you bought it!! at this point we are basically that terrible enabling friend who justifies all your vices!! 😂😂 enjoy it, man!!
this guitar is pure magic
The right amount of guitars is what you already own, plus one.
Yes that is the rule of thumb for any guitarist, sometimes get 2 at once
I have a nerve issue with my hands that I developed shortly after beginning to learn guitar and stopped and now I am totally unable to every play again I have my guitar still always hoped I would marry someone or something who could play the guitar just to have it get some use because I cant sell it too attached to it. 1993 Fender Mexican Standard Stratocaster.
Very cool guitar. And takes you back to the roots of your playing career. A real genesis machine. Never part with it. It’s funny how a 400$ guitar could be more special than a 4000$ guitar. I wish I still had my 300$ guitar I started on.
man that guitar is AWESOME
I look forward to the day I happen to see Tyler in a guitar store.
It's cool I was the guy in the video
@@Jack_IV That's amazing, seemed like an awesome moment :)
What's funny is i wrote that comment at the beginning of the video, way before you popped up lol. It just kind of worked out. @@Jack_IV
