  • @Lnmwr
    @Lnmwr 2 місяці тому +2

    Hey Bentley? The reason you have problems with the brake and the seat safety switch is because you don't set the parking brake, which is what the orange lever on the "driver's" side is for. Set the parking brake and you wouldn't have to rig the seat safety switch to make it stay running. You've commented in the past about not being heavy enough to trip the seat safety switch. Just be patient and give yourself a couple more years growing and it won't be a problem for you anymore LOL! Also, even though you don't have the mower deck on it, you still need to make sure the "blades" aren't "on" as that system has a safety switch in it as well.

    You need a manual mower, one with gears. The hydrostatic transaxles have an internal pressure relief so they will only go so fast and you are probably at the limit already. Its could have a low oil sensor shutting it off on bumps but most likely the float bouncing that is causing your issue if not. Awesome job! 🔥🤘🔥

Then some spray-can Goo Gone and a good rag will take off the residue and sticky stuff pretty quick, you might want to pick up a can when you do your next decal removal or replacement project. ; )

    Nice job on the mower! As for the cutting out, see if the engine has a low oil sensor. Jumper that out and see if it runs over the bumps better without cutting out. Otherwise I'm guessing the fuel level in the carb is a bit high and it's flooding out, you could bend the floats down, so the carb bowl holds a bit less fuel. Also, try lowering the tire pressure so the tire sidewalls give a bit on the bumps, that might help too. Those carbs aren't meant to take a lot of rough riding like that, so worst case you might have to graft on a different style carb, more like you would find on a racing engine or a motorcycle. One last thing, that hydro tranny is probably about at its max at those speeds. If you want to go fast on a riding lawnmower, something with regular (non-hydro) gears will take more abuse and probably last longer. Good luck and thanks for the video!

    I think I’ve never seen Bentley more excited than when it started working in the shop. Later I think I saw his mullet smoking and possibly on fire as he tore through the tree rows.

    Bentley, put the sticker either on your tool box or the front of your hood. You rock little dude. A little tip... Be aware of your camera angles. Use an extra camera set up to get those action shots. #2 fan cause I know Dad's #1.
