Bentley, you give me hope that there are still some old school mechanics left in the world. After wrenching full time for over fifty years, and still at it, I have no regrets. Keep it up, little buddy!
But he should be careful running the engine on brake cleaner. Some of them are tetrachloroethylene which will create the battle gas phosgene upon burning or exposed to over 300F. 2 parts per million in air will kill you...
Your comfort on UA-cam has increased greatly. You also are learning a lot about how to diagnose and repair. Dad is probably as proud as a peacock. There is going to be a time when the old man will want to sit in his rocking chair( probably not) and you’ll be the guy.
Love it. Bentley says “I don’t even know how this works” but carrys on and pulls it apart anyway! That’s the Bieri spirit Bentley! You got the basics and Dad is letting you figure it out yourself. That’s the way to learn.😊
Great job. I wish I knew what you know about the mechanicals when I was twice your age. Money to put toward the next project, or just gas for the dirt bikes.
I send these videos to my grandson who lives in an apartment in a city to show him there is more to life that he knows. Thanks for the content to help him see a way out.
Wow… What a wonderful thing to say and what a wonderful attitude. There is definitely a lot more out there in life than just City living. Nothing wrong with that either, but one should try to experience as much as they can and see as many different places as they can. Boy, take somebody who's lived in an apartment in a city their whole life and show them the backwoods on some quads and go karts and they would probably be having heart palpitations from excitement and fun. Lol. 👏 Again, wonderful comment for Bentley!!!
Little grip that’s where I started! Mini bike in my room in an apartment building! 40 years later I own my own shop ! Great job and your dad is rubbing off on you more than you know!!😊
I understood this comment better a little further when he started making noises while tightening the fuel make it happened and then he said what in the world is going on here I said yep there it is 😅
Haha right?! I look at some projects and just want to push them off. But then I see a little dude like this that not only dives in head first, he *enjoys* the process! Really puts a spark in a guy.
You can tell when "a guy" has a feel for engines. Some UA-cam "professionals" like to just pound the brake cleaner to try & get the engine running, but Bentley immediately went into diagnostic mode. Mad props sir 👍
He looked pretty quick to spray that carb cleaner in there to me???🤷🏻♂️ But that is part of diagnosis...spray carb cleaner of it fires you know it's not getting fuel if it fires on it after not starting.
Using the peg just spray a little either method! Haha love it! You’re smarter than most adult mechanics! Cheers from Alberta Canada Bentley! Your parents raised you right ! Keep on wrenching buddy!
You’re making your pops proud Bentley! I enjoy when you and Bradley n Bailey get to help your old man! Much love to you all! I’ve been watching since Minnesota! Keep em coming Bentley! Keep learning! 💯
Nice one. 👍 Sit down for a long conversation with your dad about carburetors. Talk about jets, venturis , float bowls, choke & fuel ratios. He's super good with them.
Only one way to learn, tear it apart! It will go back together, you have the skills to figure it out.. your a natural. Born with a wrench in your hand I bet, lol.. You are a very smart young man, really enjoy watching your content!! Keep it up young man
Congrats Bentley on not only the video but also on 100K subscribers. You can hang it next to Dad’s or maybe above it since you got yours at a younger age👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice job helping your friend out, getting his rig running, and then painting it for him is pretty nice. You take after your dad having spare parts on the shelf, i save everything to, never know when something will come in handy. I know you make your parent's proud, good job buddy. G-d bless
Bentley you’re making your Mom and Dad proud. You’ve got the same instincts as your Dad, well done. Think you might have a spark issue though on this bike. I’m confident you’ll find it. Thanks for sharing your adventures - keep it up.
What a good friend you are. Looks amazing and sounds pretty good given the limited supplies you had to work with. He should be able to have fun with that fairly easy! Good job Bentley!
Great job young fella,in 1972 when I was your age, messing with my old briggs flathead 3hp,couldnt wait to ride after school got out and ravage the neighborhood, gas was 25 cents a gallon! carry on and God bless Bentley!
You have a great platform Bentley and your a huge encouragement to so many. Don’t ever lose your love for Christ! Keep those wrenches turning! Blessings
Excellent job young man Beautiful paint job and great carburetor skills Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing your next adventure May Gods Blessings be with you and your family always
You're doing great work! I have a suggestion for your future. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, get that open (or closed) container of fuel away from any engine you are starting and running, especially behind or near the exhaust. Just one tiny spark or backfire will cause a huge fire. The fumes from gasoline are heavier than air so they will creep close to the ground. Any spark hitting the ground will set those fumes off.
Bentley, you did a great job. You completed the job and I'm sure you learned something in the process. I'm almost 58 and I learn every day. Keep up the good work son.👍😁
Thus it begins... First you work on your projects, and now other people's. That's the mechanic gene in your family sir, and we're excited to see what you do next!
Thank you Bentley for sharing your knowlage in building and fixing things. Just like your dad and mom, your very awsome at knowing what to do so things work better. Impressive for sure. Regards from Sweden.
Great job little man. You are a perfect example of the phrase "you learn by doing." Hopefully there are other aspiring young mechanics watching that will learn from what you are doing and give them the inspiration and courage to take on their own projects.
Cool friend you are Bentley for doing that for him. Enjoyed this one too. Looking forward to more videos. Maybe you two can use the gopro and give us some footage of the both of you riding! 😎🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Bentley, your dad always uses transparent fuel filters. Get one for a lawnmower, they are a lot smaller but do the same job and you can see if the fuel is good, if there's a good flow and any dirt coming from the tank. I have several for my lawnmowers and they save a lot of headaches, if the filter doesn't fill up while trying to start you can bet you're having a faulty carburetor. They also are way better than the flimsy things they put in the fuel line to filter out dirt. Keep it up, you're doing great!
Dude, nice job on that doodlebug. Wish I knew half as much as you at your age. Your videos have improved so drastically compared to the first few. The confidence level now is fully there and explanations are clear. Looking forward to more. Just as informative as that old folgie over on vice grip. ;-)
Way to go bentley!!! Awesome to see you get that mini bike back running for your friend. Keep up the good work bud, your going to be one heck of a good mechanic!
Keep umm coming buddy. Loved your face when it started. Great feeling ah. Your going to do well Bentley. Good on you. God bless 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤜🏻🤜🏻🤜🏻🤜🏻🤜🏻🤜🏻🤜🏻🤜🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
When talking about the switch that does nothing anymore at 15:44 , did you say "Unless it's NOS Injection but it's not"? I think you did. 🤣🤣🤣 Good stuff!!! Hahahahahahahaha.
Nice job little buddy , little tip I think all you needed was that gas cap vented so it would flow when it was hooked up , I got a feeling that bigger carb would work with a vented cap, either way good job fella, the gas all over the tank is what tipped me off , too much pressure build up 👍
You can see that this young man has been paying attention to what his dad tells him about working on cars and or Mini Bikes. Good job on that mini bike
Love this kid keep it going Bentley he’s pretty good at this stuff ! I learned the same way working with my dad on stuff ! I had a mini bike just like this ! Brings back memories ! LOL ! 👍👍
Very cool to see this channel. I was actually going to suggest that Bentley have a channel working on side jobs for dad’s builds. Surprised that Dad doesn’t promote this channel, I am sure views would skyrocket if he mentions your channel. I have been watching Vice Grip regularly and didn’t know this channel existed.
You are killing it! You have learned so much from your dad and I know he is extremely proud of you. You have a future ahead of you that you always be able to feed your family. I believe that all men need to know how to use their hands! You have my support, great video.
Outstanding job! What you are learning now will pay dividends going forward! Continue learning from your dad and when you’re an adult you won’t need to rely on others!
Bentley you're a really good friend to help your body out like that good to see that there is still young smart mechanics out there😊 keep the content coming buddy
Great job Bentley- I could see you working the problems in your head as you were going-your so much like your dad it scares me 😳😂👍cheers from Tasmania little man and keep them coming
That's exactly how I started working on engines, my first mini bike way back in 1971. You'll be rebuilding LS's and Coyotes before you know it Bentley.
Wow Bentley… Little grip is back already with another video.YAAS!!! I also noticed you're at 101,000 subscribers. Did UA-cam send you your plaque? Man I would love to see it. Good job kiddo. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
pretty cool job Bently " hope i spelled your name right lol" i always helped dad build things and work on cars and such was the best times i can remember with dad. you have learned a lot from yours and your mother keep up the good work and keep learning
Bentley, you give me hope that there are still some old school mechanics left in the world. After wrenching full time for over fifty years, and still at it, I have no regrets. Keep it up, little buddy!
Congratulations on your achievement and helping out your friend . Now you can rip in the trails with your buddies 😂
Go check out Bentley’s dad at _ViceGrip Garage_
Keep wrenching Bentley. It is a life skill that is priceless. I was an aircraft mechanic for 45 years and loved every minute of it.
But he should be careful running the engine on brake cleaner. Some of them are tetrachloroethylene which will create the battle gas phosgene upon burning or exposed to over 300F. 2 parts per million in air will kill you...
Great job sir. You’re killing it, I know your dad is proud of you.

Boy it’s nice to see the young man developing his own style and feeling comfortable in front of the camera- really enjoyed this

He comes from genuine stock. Good job Bentley.

@@RobertDickens2002did you not know that was Bentley till then?😂😂😂
Apple did not fall far from the Bieri tree.
Thanx Bentley I'm now ready to get my lawnmower going properly
Haha right?! I look at some projects and just want to push them off. But then I see a little dude like this that not only dives in head first, he *enjoys* the process! Really puts a spark in a guy.

Ummmmm, that's not true.
He looked pretty quick to spray that carb cleaner in there to me???🤷🏻♂️ But that is part of diagnosis...spray carb cleaner of it fires you know it's not getting fuel if it fires on it after not starting.
the way he acted when it started. 13:28....lol...... He is his fathers son. loved it
Excellent job Bentley! That's how I got started. In high school I bought a 1963 Harley Panhead and after two years I had a nice bike.
I had a 62', my second bike and first Harley.
Using the peg just spray a little either method! Haha love it! You’re smarter than most adult mechanics! Cheers from Alberta Canada Bentley! Your parents raised you right ! Keep on wrenching buddy!

Nice one. 👍 Sit down for a long conversation with your dad about carburetors. Talk about jets, venturis , float bowls, choke & fuel ratios. He's super good with them.
Fuel make it happeners you mean...
😉
And also put timing on that list...
Good work Bentley. A guy is 12 years old and fixing his buddies stuff and painting it for them.

Good job. I liked the "trial and error" carburetor jet work. In my opinion, that's typically the most fulfilling way to learn.
You are getting better with every video. So much fun to watch you grow up!
Bentley you’re making your Mom and Dad proud. You’ve got the same instincts as your Dad, well done. Think you might have a spark issue though on this bike. I’m confident you’ll find it. Thanks for sharing your adventures - keep it up.

Nice job kid! That was one of my first projects brought home from my Dad, got it running and parked my bicycle.
Outstanding job! What you are learning now will pay dividends going forward! Continue learning from your dad and when you’re an adult you won’t need to rely on others!
Good job!!! Your dad will be proud of you! Do another video showing you finishing the bike.
Great job Bentley! Being good at troubleshooting is an important skill to have.
