What a production, what a song! How this kind of music never grows old, shame is, it is never played enough on today's radio. Perhaps it's just too good for today! Jeff Barley
Breaking news: Ronnie Bennett Spector just passed away, leaving Nedra Talley Ross, the youngest of the group and the cousin of the Bennett sisters, as the sole survivor (Estelle Bennet had previously died.) It's the end of an era, folks. Condolences to Nedra. May she receive lots of love, comfort and support from grateful fans, and may the airplay they receive be "off the charts" to commemorate their unique sound, and as a tribute to their lead singer Ronnie.
No more WALKING IN THE RAIN around the corner near the Cloisters on Upper West Side of Manhattan (Harlem?). DONALD drooling over the thought of Urban Renewal and new locations? Roosevelt's Hyde Park nice quiet place for meditation in a place such as the Cloisters.
No rules when the first sounds of rock ‘n‘ roll blasted from those portable AM Transistor radios. All of it was, and still is, fantastic. (And they said it would never last.)
Fabulous - They even influenced the mighty Beatles with their three and four-part vocal harmonies. The Sixties was the best decade for musical evolution for sure. Thanks for uploading.
There's just NO mistaking Hal Blaine on drums. The entire Wrecking Crew was a phenomenal band, and Phil wouldn't go into the studio (usually Gold Star) without them. Awesome sound!
I love Ronnie a gifted singer but you know who else had a sexy voice from that era Mary Wells listen to how she sounds on Two Lovers and on My Guy she sounds like a black Mae West both of these gifted ladies had a sensual seductive style of singing and they were also FINE!!!
I didn't know I CAN HEAR MUSIC was a Ronettes song. For years, I've heard the Beach Boys' version. As a wise friend once told me NOTHING PLAYS LIKE THE ORIGINAL. ✌✌✌✌✌
Bro I’m partially here for the Black vs Mixed race comments. Plus, how nobody talks about how much of a psycho Phil is considering today’s climate of toxicity😆
Used to listen to this in the Criterion club in Barrow in Furness in the sixties. My first girlfriend was called Rosalyn Whalley. I was a been nowhere seen nothing country boy ,she was a street wise Barrow girl. Where are you now Roz,hope you have had a good life, I have. 🏴☠️🦊
Good God! When Ronnie begins riffing on “Come on Baby” and “ooh wee Baby” , everything becomes about sex and sexual longing, and seduction, and Ronnie transforms from teen Queen into Venus. It gets me every time. And she never really dies.
Heaven has its newest angel. Rock on Ronnie.

The best of the early 60s girls groups.
Thank you Ronnie ..God needs you to sing in heaven...
Spector was next level, the stuff could pull you from the depths of hell and make you dance involuntarily at the same time.

בעיני זה השיר הכי גדול ואיכותי שלהן!!! מושקע באיכותו אפילו מבי מיי בייבי!!!
Who didn't love their music, I for one will always listen to there songs.
Even though he was a creep Phil Spector really knew how to produce a song...of course it didn't hurt to have Ronnie and the Ronettesn doing the vocals
RIP Ronnie
Perfect timing

The Chantels were very good too, and so was the girl group led by Darlene Love.

Esta música sempre será uma das mais lindas que ouvi na vida inteira. É uma medicina sonora para sempre...

I wonder what Ronette is also soloing on this tune. Singing Tell Me Why I Wanna Know.? I think its Nedra

Phil Spector : simply unreachable !
RIP Phil, you were one of the great ones. My favorite Ronettes tune.
I think you meant to say "burn in Hell Phil". Produced alot of my favorite records but he was a convicted murderer. Grow up. RIP RONNIE AND ESTELLE.
@@dustywaynemusic6297 Actually no, I meant what I wrote, "RIP PHIL" as he already paid the price here on earth.
There's a lot of Beach Boys + "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" in this song. Still great though
Great tune and another artist Roni Griffith remade it in 1982 produced by Bobby Orlando and it was a huge hit on the dance floors
The backgrounds sound like The Beach Boys
