We danced our first dance at our wedding to it, and every morning when I woke I would look over at her and know she was my angel. I lost her 3 years ago Christmas Eve to breast cancer, I know what it’s like to have an angel I was blessed with her for 10 years and now she is my angle in heaven, she is with me always. I first heard this song over a hotel radio on the northern Montana border back in 1994. I recall it vividly - I was sitting alone on a balcony in what was once a luxurious hotel in a formerly prosperous town that had since gone to seed. I was the only guest in a 30 room hotel in early winter and Juice's voice hit me like a slice of lemon wrapped around a gold brick. I have beautiful memories of that time and every time I hear this song, I'm right back there, smoking a Nat Sherman cigar, sipping whiskey, watching the birds flying into the bare fields.

Lost mine in '95. Only 7 years, but you never forget. The next unit I found my self with used to sing parodies of this like it was funny. Suffice to say it did not last. If you call her your angel of the morning and she makes a rude joke out if it, you are with the wrong person.

I lost my angel, Susan in 1983. We were only together for two years and I thought I would never get over losing her. I might have gotten used to her not being around, but I never did totally get over it. I guess none of us truly ever do. Life goes on. I’m not a very religious man, but I do hope to meet her again.

This is such a heart-felt song. When my wife and I first started dating, I told her that I like to call my girl by a term of endearment, like "sweetheart", "baby", etc. When I said "Angel", she said "Yes, that's what I want you to call me". And I did. Up until the day she died of breast cancer at the age of 28. I watched her take her last breath and held her hand as I cried now knowing that she joined the Angels in Heaven, waiting for me to be with her again. I was out of the house when she started dying. I was running some errands but her mother and sister were with her. No one called me to let me know her life was ending. I got home just in time to see her take her last few breaths. I feel like she was holding on until I got to her bedside before letting go. My advice to everyone, whether it's your husband or wife, is to cherish your Angel every morning before it's too late.
