If you are going to stain a deck use an oil based semi transparent stain. Those water based or semi solid/solid options will fail and require sanding to remove,they are basically a paint and not a stain.

It has definitely continued to scratch off. My 200lb mastiff made sure it didn't stay looking perfect😂
I think I ended up needing 4 cans!
