Staining and Sealing Your Deck with Valspar 2-in-1 Stain and Sealer

While it was time to stain and seal the deck, bringing an end to a job that took too long, I'm glad it's finally done. A finished job is better than a perfect job-someone told me that the other day in a shorts video.
I liked the Valspar Semi-transparent Exterior Wood Stain and Sealer product, I had it tinted to the “Rusticana” tone from their catalog. I can see that it's helping to protect the wood after the rain, as water just stays on the surface all beaded up. The wood surface might be slightly more slippery when wet, but I haven’t noticed it being excessive. It’s just something to be aware of.
This product boast only one coat required and I believe that, I only did two coats to attempt to even the finish after brushing the cracks. I wonder if spraying the stain and sealer would have been a better application method.
