    Team Persil here!!! I do a lot of cooking. Oil stains are so difficult to get out, and Persil does the job!

    We have the same washer and dryer. My husband likes buying simple appliances because then he can fix things himself when they need it.

    I get that you normally would pretreat stains, but I can't tell you how many times I've pulled clothes out the dryer and realized I missed a stain. Also my teen child never catches the stains. So I personally would prefer the one that cleans best when we miss stains. I will always try to catch them and treat them, but that doesn't always happen.

    There are only so many ingredients that can be used in the detergent market. Both brands fluctuate % of ingredient to stay competitive with each other. The only thing better about Tide is their marketing. Persil is the Tide of Europe and is the number one challenger to Tide in the US

      Persil and a version of Tide (though usually not the original) are always the top 3 detergents in Consumer Reports testing.
      I don't like how strong Persil's fragrance is so I always get the winning Tide version but if you love fragrance, Persil is the obvious choice.

    It would be interesting to test Tide Ultra Oxi powder. It has an oxygen bleach (color safe) along with an activator so it works in cold water (unlike oxyclean and other oxygen bleach products).
    Only powder detergents can contain bleach (it's not stable in liquid detergents) so it would probably perform better for stains.

    You need to use Tide He ultra stain release. To make it equal to that Persil deep clean. To equal the enzymes.

    For pretreatment, do a mix of water and detergent and put in spray bottle and just spray the stains and scrub. Saves a step.

      Also your commenter is correct. For the machines that you add it into a detergent dispenser it dispenses after or during water fill.

    I have the same type of washer. And I don’t use the precise feel because the water stops every time I lift the lid up. I like to add my detergent when the water is flowing as you did, so I choose what size load I’m doing so that the water is running and I can add immediately.

    • @thecleanpsycho
      @thecleanpsycho  Рік тому +1

      Right, I’m trying to use the precise fill option more to save on water but sometimes I’ve found it to use to little water. It’s really hit or miss sometimes. They’ll probably improve this feature as time goes on.

    I've been a huge Persil detergent user. I gotta say Persil is the best detergent I've used gets out more stains and gets it more cleaner than tide. I've also used Oxiclean powder and clorox 2 liquid to boost the cleaning power even Lysol Laundry Sanitizer and scent booster beads to make my laundry smell good and sanitized.

    Tests isnt comparing 1:1. That persil is like tide febreez. Regular persil is 1:1 to regular tide. Persil oxi to tide ultra oxi. Persil stain release to tide ultra stain release. I'm loving the format of your tests, but please compare the direct competitor for said detergent.

    • @thecleanpsycho
      @thecleanpsycho  Рік тому

      I see your point but I still consider this to be a 1:1 comparison because when you look at the ingredients for the Persil intense fresh & Persil original, the only difference are 2 ingredients. Persil original has sodium chloride which as the website says “may contribute to stability or modify viscosity” & a silicon emulsion which is as the website says “an antifoaming agent. Neither of those ingredients are significant enough to alter the results. The original contains the exact same surfactants & enzymes so their cleaning power are one in the same. If I was doing a scent comparison then I’d make it more of a point to pick the tide febreze. I could easily switch this & have tide frebreze vs persil original because just as the Persil, the tide original & tide febreze do not differ significantly formulation wise.

    Great test.
    I only noticed water was added first to the cloth A before detergent.
    Water applied after on B. Almost forgot to add water first.
    I think maybe apply more water before pretreatments. To get the clth good and damp.
    Then try.

      Honestly yes, the only thing I don’t like is that you can’t wash like a comforter in it because it will mess it up. Like it chewed my comforter apart but as long as it’s not that it’s been really good. I like that it has an agitator and that you can pick the water fill level if you want. Also, the pre-soak option is amazing for more set in stains. I’d rate it a 8/10. We’ve had it for 4 years now and so it hasn’t had any issues thus far.
