So true. I’ve had so many Marshall pedals and this is the best one and no one knows about it. It does low gain, medium gain, and I gain extremely well. What other pedal in the world can do that?
The (La Grange) has a nicely made Circuit, very nice design. Well worth the $. And sure does sound like a (Plexi)! I have a the Newest Revision of the Circuit. They even paint the certain makings like the Structure holes different using all solid holes . Very well made Pedal.
You skipped over the "Gain" switch. Looks like it switches between some different resistors? Is this similar to different cathode resistors in an amp? Kinda like Friedman's "Structure" switch?
It'd be really neat to see your thoughts on the V1 Bogner Wessex or Burnley. I haven't seen these cloned and am wondering outside of the Neve transformer mojo if there's much more to them.
Stumbled across this video whilst researching why the structure switch on mine doesn’t work. Very informative video. The circuit appears to be similar to a Box If Rock with some extra switching options. I’ve compared it to my ZVex Distortron (BoR minus boost section) and it’s very similar. With this video hopefully I can figure out the structure switch problem. Cheers.
Amazing videos Joe. You have fans here in Australia for sure! Would love to see a Lovepedal Cot50 Eternity Stack breakdown. Love the pedal, but still a mystery as to how it gets such tube amp like response. Cheers mate.
@@graybenchelec always wanted to try this pedal, but it has a reputation for low quality, but I just don’t see it. And if it did go wrong fairly easy to repair.
I have the Lyndhurst compressor which also has a potted part of the circuit. All very high quality components but i'd never buy another Bogner pedal due to the potting which makes it impossible to repair.
Sir, I recommend an Orange Terror Stamp pedal amplifier. It’s a bit of a departure from just effects pedals, but it’s the right size for your current bench and camera setup. And it would be interesting to see what they use as a tone stack and power output chips. Thank you for your consideration and for your excellent content. Respectfully, Andrew
I would never ever buy a pedal which is gooped, if the pedal failes I am not able to repair it. Just a mess and really really bad practise just to hide your schematics...
Its not really a issue. I hear no Scratching.. Once you set it ,it's done. it's not like your bending down with the boost on constantly adjusting it... but aging I hear no scratching. It a top Plexi pedal.
This channel is as pure gold as the the powder coat on this pedal's chassis. Keep up the great work!
Appreciate it!
Great pedal. Tried it out a while back when it came out. I was blown away by its versatility

very well made unit. top quality parts and back to back pcb's is cool there's alot there for the money
PS the pedal is in essence a COT going into a box of rock with the SHO as a post OD boost (volume boost)

Revised circuit? When did that hit the market?

Thank you. Mine has an intermittent hum in it, sometimes real quiet sometimes hum. Tried new chords different amp but same thing.
My unit had foot switches that popped when engaged. All around it was noisy so I returned it.

I’ll put it on the list!

I have the ecstasy blue and red along with this pedal. I prefer the La Grange over the red and blue.
Wish I had the Red.
zvex box of rock would be a cool follow up to this
OR THE DISTORTRON

I'm guilty of overlooking their pedals, since I'm not a high-gain guy. Looks very cool!
Yes, nice build quality here, I was impressed as well.

@@RokinLee maybe they had issues with previous versions? This pedal was solid 🤷♀️
Excellent video, I wonder if this may be a nod to the Bassman amp instead of the JTM 45 … either way it’s a cool pedal
Bassman and JTM45 are more or less the same circuit, so you could say it's both!
@@graybenchelec Yeah, you're right but I think I may have been swayed by those knobs too. I always look forward to another teardown video.
Thanks ,Friend.

🔊Awesome‼️
Thank you!
Do you know the output impedance of the LaGrange?
I've always wanted to try one of these but the cost versus the reputation for them crapping out has always put me off.
The mosfets can be sensitive, down side of gooping is repairs are completely impractical.
@@graybenchelec I assume this one is for sale per usual?
@@BlakeC27 it will be!
@@graybenchelec Much nicer gooping than a Klon had

Pretty much a clone of Zvex Box of Rock with a SHO in one box. Nothing original at all about the circuits.
NO
What is causing the booster volume to be scratchy? It must have DC voltage on the wiper pot that is causing the scratchy sound?

I'm interested into the vintage style cases. Hammond cases get redundant. Build a rat? Build a vintage case!

I don´t think Jesus plays guitar 🙂
