There's actually an even easier solution to this problem. When navigating using the infotainment, the car should know when to signal automatically to exit a roundabout.
Problem with the indicators on the highway? They have an auto function you can enable which means that when you change lane, the indicator will automatically stop. Works perfect.
@@ItsOnlyElectric No problem! I can also add that there’s a functionality (in beta) that will automatically select gear for you depending on the environment - wall in front of you, reverse will be selected. Helps with the other stalk-delete a bit 😊

All batteries degrade with faulty behavior like excessive supercharging. LFP Batteries are a bit more robust since they can be charged to 100% all the time without taking damage. So LFP in general has lower energy density (heavier) not as good at handling cold weather but will probably last longer.
@travis_thai better sound system, longer range on long trips, a bit better at handling cold weather and quicker charging. But in everyday use the range will be the same and if you don't care about the sound system and AWD, then you will be fine with the SR in my opinion.
Great review and very interesting channel. Can you compare the suspension between the new 3 and the current Y LR with the upgraded suspension? Is there a big difference?
I believe the top speed was lowered due to the new tires. They're more quiet and efficient, but don't support the higher speed. The metal bar in the door is to help with side crashes (provides an extra anchor point). I'm curious how you find the seats compared to the old model? Some people said the first model 3's had better seats, but it would seem odd to downgrade something as important as that.
A front of a car is not a spoiler, it is an aerodynamic fairing ;) Also I wish Tesla would arrange all speed info in one area on the screen instead of two places far apart, to just where you have speed info now.
Does it remember the setting if you turn off the overspeed warning or you have to deactivate it every time you get into the car? I have no idea how could the EU allow mass production of a car with these indicator controls.
After seeing someone driving the new Cybertruck they said the indicator automatically goes off just as any normal turn signal detection, so hopefully that's just a software update.

@VF8Friend good question. Have heard of Highland spottings in the states so probably close. I would probably wait until the site updates with the Highland if it hasn't done that already.
Great review, lots of useful information! Considering you have a model Y, did you found a difference in cabin noise isolation between M3 Highland and the MY?
Thanks for your review! What's your opinion when you compare the M3 Highland with your MY about: 1 Noise during driving. Is it a huge difference with the MY? 2 Quality of the front seats 3 Driving quality 4 Comfort on the backseats 5 Interior quality > do you hear ratles in your MY?
1. Highland a bit more silent. 2-3dB so it's noticable. 2. The Y made in Berlin is on par with the seats in the Highland but without ventilation. Y from Shanghai has worse seats. 3. Not a huge difference. I prefer the suspension in the Highland. 4. Prefer the back seats in Y since you can change the back rest angle of it and a lot more head and legroom. 5. I have some rattles I my Y but I'm also driving on 21". Both interiors good but prefer the updates in the Highland.
1. 2-3 dB is a small number but a huge difference in perspective of sound experience 4. I've noticed that when you set the front seat a bit higher, you can more easily put your feet under the seat what makes it more comfortable in the backseat. 5. I hate rattles ;-) A couple of (German) reviewers compare the highland interior build quality with BMW/Audi and not all of them are fanboys. A big compliment for Tesla I think.@@ItsOnlyElectric
@mennod5193 1. Agree 4. Yes, I did record that buy needed to scrap that part due to sound problem. Seats is in lowest position and shorter drivers will give more space for the feet at the back. 5. Agree, a big step in interior quality. And compared to a I4 the Highland doesn't feel worse when it comes to materials and interior quality etc. Bmw actually tends to rattle at least 4 series and down.
The low max speed (aprox.200km/h) is not because of saving energy. Its due to a compromise: the new smaller and more silent 18" tires, which is used for this car, are not approved to drive faster.
I'd love to see Tesla design better door handles. That they are flush is for a reason, but the shape and how they work is uninspired and annoying. Wouldn't it be great if the door "handles" were instead a 2" flush circle and when you push them in the door popped out. Simplify and innovate.
@@ItsOnlyElectric Very likely. I think test cars have it off to not freak people out. It's a bit weird if you try to stop the blinker at the same time it turns itself off. You wind up turning on the blinker to the other side. Especially with stalks.
170 kW is the maximum speed, the average speed is much lower, about 130, which is already very slow and can be very time-consuming, especially compared to battery swap, plus less performance, plus less traction on the rear-wheel drive wheel only, plus that after one engine breaks down there is a second engine, and you get an unfair comparison to the ET5.
Get your point. But the biggest obsticle for ev adoption today is the price. So with a very attractive price the SR is a great car. I really hope that nio will introduce a rwd option for ET5 with s lower starting price
La verdadera ventaja es la de que es original en su mayoria de sus funciones, tiene innovación y desarrollo de sus ingenieros y desarrollo tecnológico. Luego como siempre viene las imitaciones con pequeñas diferencias
Great for new owners, but far far from enough to switch an existing Model 3. Wait 4 years and there will be even more improvements. Maybe consider it then.
Den är så jävla grym, alltid gillat Tesla. Men har inte tyckt att deras bilar hållt en bra standard. När highland släpptes så slog jag till, äger nu en Model 3 highland standard. Vilken bil asså, wow👏
You have a function in Tesla that turn of the blinkers when the car have shifted lane or turned. The camera keep control of this. Tesla is the only car havig this.
Great review. You are absolutely right, no other company can compete with teslas efficiency. As a former Tesla owner I just got bored of the shame and minimalistic interior. For my purposes I love my Mach E GT Performance. Thanks again and keep up the great reviews!
No, the SR LFP can't be charge always to 100% to compensate for the lower capacity of the 60 kWh battery simply becayse it takes toooo loong (even with the BYD battery) to jump from 80% to 100%. I'll rate with 10 both the RWD single motor and the LR dua lmotor. What else?
Thank you for your review. I have a standard RWD Highland M3 on order. I currently run a BMW 330e. I’m getting ‘nervous’ but your input helps my angst 🙄😳😊
Hoping the front & rear bumper are wider & more aggressive looking 👀. Was it me or is the bumper back to being a different color white again 🤔😱 The 4680 batteries will add a big change to range in the US. Most people will hate the no stocks. Plenty of aftermarket’s will be out there. That blinker needs to turn off automatically like the current version.
It has really solid points of improvements. The longer range and noise is my biggest plus. I just cant see agree with the no stalks. They are not intuitive and makes things dangerous for no reason. Second; on the exterior I like the back alot, but the front is a bit boring compared with the old one.
Great review - keep it up! I can relate to most of your impressions; the car feels a lot more composed, well-built, silent and grown up, but at the same time being able to deliver some fun driving sensations. I have driven the car on both the Winter Tires (Nokian R5 non-studded), along with the original Michelins, and the Winter tires are extremely soft and does not add to the sporty sensation. However, they are very silent, and, hopefully, extremely good when the snow arrives here in Sweden 😊
@@ItsOnlyElectric I went for the LR - wanted the extra performance, 4WD and the improved sound system. The extra range (which you perfectly pointed out is only available when 100 % of charge, preferable only from time to time) during longer vacations, well, that’s mostly a plus-på-köpet-feature. You also get the alcantara-material on the door sides, which, if I understood it correctly, is not the same on the SR. Mostly prefer the un-nordic winter tires, due to them performing better during the wet and dry. The best solution for not crashing during our winter season is to adopt speed, but of course, a good tire will help 😊 Good to hear you like them. Will be fun to try them on some steep climbs during snow covered roads later 😊 Want to turn off the ESP, but I can only find the option to approve of some slip - guess you need the performance version (or ludicrous to come) to do that, which is a shame for my smile, but probably the best for staying away from a crash 😊
@p3tT4n1 if I recon right the only interior difference between the LR and SR are the sound system. But the LR is a lot quicker!! When it comes to the r5s they are very soft and you feel it when switching from the harder summer tires, but they get better when it's cold enough and when they are wearn in.
Yes, Tesla is still a quick mover and things are changing and adapting fast. Really interesting to follow their journey still distrusting the industry.
Hej 👋 Thanks for the review, this update looks nice and neat, but the minimalism in the cabin is a bit too much for me (personal preference 😊) Will you do a real range review as well ? I'm very curious about this one 🙂
I considered moving to a model Y but had enough with the steering wheel getting indicators, it’s a joke now, this Tesla game of thinking you’re being clever with cutting costs (no stalks), but this is another subtraction that’s going too far. Try indicating one way as you enter a roundabout and with your steering upside down, find the right indicator. 😢 I’ll pass.
I have placed an order on the model 3 highland long range. I was considering the standard range but I would be without the 4 wheel drive which would affect safety somewhat, the speed is nice but not worth 100k SEK...But what you also get is a better charge speed and better sound system.
It looks like an IKEA furniture....the front seat doesn't look very comfy... looking at how high your knees are (perhaps I am wrong).....it looks cheap inside. I understand the software and the performance it's great...but...if you compare this car with Xpeng or NIO....same price or similar....Tesla is way behind in quality materials
This is really a good update though, especially the interior. Should be compared with the ET5, driving position and rear seats very similar. But I prefer the exterior of the ET5.
Except the price for NIO is not similar. In Sweden a NIO ET5 with comfort package and a 75kwh battery is 701k (or 571k + 1.8k/m battery rent), for this you get dual motors 0-100 3.8 and 456km range. The LR (100kwh battery) is 811k with the battery (or 571k +3k /m rental) 0-100 4.0 sec (heavier battery) and 570km range. The model 3 SR = 519k, The LR = 609k 0-100 4.4 but 678km (18" wheels) / 639km range with 19" wheels. The NIO is 100k to 200k more than a LR depending on the battery or after 21m the ET5 is more expensive than the LR highland if renting the 75kwh battery or 12m if renting the 100kwh.
@@TB-up4xithanks for sharing....but do you think Tesla offers the same level of equipment, quality? Especially in the interior? I have tested both...and in my view NIO is well above Tesla on the quality materials used
The rear seat set up is still stupid. You look like you are sitting on the floor. 😂 The whole stalkless steering wheel adds to the stupid, we are changing things to pretend we are reinventing the car but it’s a major failure. If you are going to put the turn signals on the steering wheel , maybe make the left turn on the left and the right on the right? And the wipers being in the menu? Brutal.

5. I hate rattles ;-) A couple of (German) reviewers compare the highland interior build quality with BMW/Audi and not all of them are fanboys. A big compliment for Tesla I think.@@ItsOnlyElectric
@mennod5193
1. Agree
Bmw actually tends to rattle at least 4 series and down.
no stalks?! wtf
The low max speed (aprox.200km/h) is not because of saving energy. Its due to a compromise: the new smaller and more silent 18" tires, which is used for this car, are not approved to drive faster.
In other words: it's a compromise to save energy with smaller more every efficient tires. But I get your point. Thanks.
Gear selection is also above by the hazard light
Yes, i showed that in the video. 👍
Is it available in Portugal?
Yes, whole Europe and Asia.
I'd love to see Tesla design better door handles. That they are flush is for a reason, but the shape and how they work is uninspired and annoying. Wouldn't it be great if the door "handles" were instead a 2" flush circle and when you push them in the door popped out. Simplify and innovate.
The current design is possibly the cheapest and most efficient way of building door handles. But yes, could be easier to open
The normal charge limit is 90%, not 80%. Nice review!
Thank you! :)
80%-90% is the SoC most producers recommend.
You sure the RWD battery pack is 66kWh? I read in many places that the battery pack is 60kWh, effective 57.5kWh
Seen different information on this topic. But 554km with 18" on 60kWh gross seems a bit too optimistic.
So I think this is running the CATL 66Kwh pack.
1:10 People ski walking in the background without snow? LOL!
Haha...yes, old people do that in Sweden
Tesla has indicators auto-turn-off after you switch lanes, so no need to press it again. Unless you turn that feature off.
Did not work for me so probably turned of. 😔
@@ItsOnlyElectric Very likely. I think test cars have it off to not freak people out. It's a bit weird if you try to stop the blinker at the same time it turns itself off. You wind up turning on the blinker to the other side. Especially with stalks.
The problem is that in the standard version the charging range is at a rate of 170 kW instead of 250.
Why is this a problem? Time it takes to charge at 80% is the same as the long range, as standard range has less capacity.
It's still quick and has a smaller capacity. But yes, 10-100% will take longer on LFP than 10-80% on NMC
I don't care about battery percentages, I care about as much range as possible in as little time as possible.
Get your point. But the biggest obsticle for ev adoption today is the price. So with a very attractive price the SR is a great car. I really hope that nio will introduce a rwd option for ET5 with s lower starting price
I don’t like rear light. It can poke out an eye
😂
Nu har ju inte jag sett nya 3an i verkligheten. Men jag gillar den gamla bättre. Utseendet. Synnerhet i fram. 💪
Jag föredrar fronten på den gamla också..den nya är lite anonym.
You should introduce and have a comparison with Vinfast's VF7 car
Not available in Sweden currently. 😔
Excellent car. 62 decibels- that's Audi levels of noise isolation.
Yes it is.
You have a function in Tesla that turn of the blinkers when the car have shifted lane or turned. The camera keep control of this. Tesla is the only car havig this.
Did not work flawless for me or that function was off maybe. 🤷♀️
Great review. You are absolutely right, no other company can compete with teslas efficiency. As a former Tesla owner I just got bored of the shame and minimalistic interior. For my purposes I love my Mach E GT Performance. Thanks again and keep up the great reviews!
Thanks for your nice feedback. Guess you enjoy your GT monster?
Love the new front, hate the new back
can the seat go further back, you look cramped... then you would not have your hands all over the steering wheel my friend.
What else?
90% of the times you charge at home, charging to 100% is then easy. 🙂
Thank you for your review. I have a standard RWD Highland M3 on order. I currently run a BMW 330e. I’m getting ‘nervous’ but your input helps my angst 🙄😳😊
Don't be nervous, It's a hell of a car! 👍
Tested again and they turn off automatically if turned on in the settings. For some reasons they where off in this car.
It is a shame kids take priority to the driver still no screen for the driver unaceptable. Total game changer. 😢
I would have loved a HUD
I found it this to very informative!
Glad it was helpful!
Model3 vs. Civic ?
M3 all day everyday. I'm in to electric ⚡🙂
@@ItsOnlyElectric you have tried civic phev ?
@massimopaccagnella920 no but I'm trying the Honda e:Ny1 as we speak
@@massimopaccagnella920he’s only electric
It has really solid points of improvements. The longer range and noise is my biggest plus. I just cant see agree with the no stalks. They are not intuitive and makes things dangerous for no reason. Second; on the exterior I like the back alot, but the front is a bit boring compared with the old one.
Indicator stalk would have been good to keep. And agree on the exterior, rear is a good improvement, front is a bit anonymous
You mention you like the display in the back. But I wonder how comfortable it is for the neck ? It feels pretty low to look down @@ItsOnlyElectric
@matriskie it's not ergonomicly placed at all. So too long watch time will hurt. But perfect for controls of seat heating, climate and music.
Thank you,! Did you go for the SR or LR?
I can confirm that the R5 tires is the best studless i have tried and I have them on my MYP
The best solution for not crashing during our winter season is to adopt speed, but of course, a good tire will help 😊
Good to hear you like them.
@@ItsOnlyElectric LR has alcantara doors.
@treetontv both cars I tested gad Alcantara
Good review
Thank you 👍
Great review! I love how Tesla is relentlessly innovating and improving their cars, business, etc.
Yes, Tesla is still a quick mover and things are changing and adapting fast. Really interesting to follow their journey still distrusting the industry.
Losing the indicator stalk is not an improvement.
It's amazing to see how Tesla is improving each and everyday. Keeps other automakers on their toes.. I wonder if others can ever catch up on Tesla..
Tesla is still a fast mover and still has the ability to surprise the market. When it comes to efficiency there's not many makes that comes close.
Hej 👋 Thanks for the review, this update looks nice and neat, but the minimalism in the cabin is a bit too much for me (personal preference 😊)
Will you do a real range review as well ? I'm very curious about this one 🙂
Hej! Get your point. I like the interior but not sure about the new front.
I'm trying to get hold on s new car for proper range test.

That halsduk!
Haha!!!! Du kan få den. Vore kul om vi hade en som fick runt i olika videos.. 😂
We here in the USA are still waiting for the highland. Sigh.
Soon
Nice update
Gotta have it!
Go go go
I considered moving to a model Y but had enough with the steering wheel getting indicators, it’s a joke now, this Tesla game of thinking you’re being clever with cutting costs (no stalks), but this is another subtraction that’s going too far.
Du kommer nog bli supernöjd med en LR! Grattis, hoppas du får den snabbt. 🙂
The range is 630 kilometers. No 670.
No, 630 is with 19". Check the order site, under the wheel size selector you see the range for 18"
Why does Tesla initially show the range with the big tire?
@@tani123 Guess they dident do any officiell tests with the 18", which is a bit odd...
@tani123 seems like the WLTP is certified for the big wheels.
yes it is 67 with 18 wheels. 63 with 19 wheels.
Sorry, but model 🌲?? 😉 Thanks for a good review.
Yes, closing in to Christmas 🎄 😅
It looks like an IKEA furniture....the front seat doesn't look very comfy... looking at how high your knees are (perhaps I am wrong).....it looks cheap inside. I understand the software and the performance it's great...but...if you compare this car with Xpeng or NIO....same price or similar....Tesla is way behind in quality materials
This is really a good update though, especially the interior. Should be compared with the ET5, driving position and rear seats very similar.
But I prefer the exterior of the ET5.
Especially the touring version, a bit bigger in size as well
Except the price for NIO is not similar.
I have tested both...and in my view NIO is well above Tesla on the quality materials used
I like this vid but again why everyone is test this vehicle in 140km/h speed? Is that so much sh****t?
I love this model 3. Tesla killed us ,buyers in 2022,bought model y at the peak price.
Me too.
6'3" is not 193cm.
6'33?
@@ItsOnlyElectric 6 feet 3 inches is 190.50 cm
I dont think its worth the price updating.
Finally a model 3 that doesnt look like crap. Im guessing that chinese designed that look.

Hatchbak and stationcar - cannot buy a 3 sedan
The practicality is where its lacking, not the space as such, but the boot sedan opening.
No brainer jämfört med dem andra ev.
Indicators are just dumb for European driving. Bad design.
The rear seat set up is still stupid. You look like you are sitting on the floor. 😂
The whole stalkless steering wheel adds to the stupid, we are changing things to pretend we are reinventing the car but it’s a major failure. If you are going to put the turn signals on the steering wheel , maybe make the left turn on the left and the right on the right?
And the wipers being in the menu? Brutal.
😂😂
Easy solution for the blinkers: DONT USE THEM. 😂😂
Like a true bmw driver?
Good and informative video! I actually find myself in dilemma right now on whether or not if I should go ALL IN with Electric or continue with plug-in hybrid. So far It has been even between the Ionic 6, Ev6 and Tesla M3 (or if I should choose the Kia Niro PHEV), this video pushed me a bit more in the M3 direction. 🫣
In that pack I would go for the M3 of you don't need more practicality (boot).
@@ItsOnlyElectricThanks for replying. 👍😊
I actually went to the local Tesla dealer and test drove the M3 yesterday (Thursday). Really nice car! The only slight hesitation now was the trunk, as you pointed out.
Have you done any similar noise measurement test in the Tesla Model Y?
Wonder how the new Tesla Model 3 compares to the Tesla Model Y in noise level ( or vice versa). If you haven't, do you have any idea how the new M3s' sound level compares to the Model Y?
@julapojken the M3 highland is more silent than the model y.
