Love this video! How you make, grow, and raise a lot of food yourself is very aspiring. The entire video is aspiring. I try to be as sustainable as possible, but it's nothing compared to what you do. Some basic things I do are hand washing and air drying my clothes, avoiding single use plastic at eateries by bringing my own cutlery, biking and walking to get to places, water my plants with the leftover water I use from boiling eggs; but I'm always looking for ways to live more sustainably!
Thank you so much! It's my dream to one day be able to have an almost entirely self-sufficint homestead so what I do now still feels like nothing compared to my goals. It's all a journey and each of us are on different points of it. And it sounds like you're well on your way, too, as those are all excellent ways to pretty drastically reduce your impact over time. 😊
When I eat out, I avoid plastic cutlery, plates and glasses (I also try to avoid paper stuff even though it's completely biodegradable or backyard compostable)
That's awesome and such a great point! Paper stuff may be biodegradable but it still takes trees and other resources to make it, so best just to avoid single-use altogether if we can.
