    I purchased the bare titanium model yesterday. I can attest to the outstanding build quality and finish. Pictures and video do not do it justice. More engineering has gone into it than most 10k Swiss watches. Feels amazing on the wrist!

    You have to wear one to feel and enjoy the metalwork, design and engineering precision. Sheer craftsmanship. Let me say ....It's absolutely fabulous.

      It's beautiful but come on the new apple watch will prob be almost as rugged and be 1000X smarter. This is like dumping 250k in a Honda Civic. I just don't understand the value. If it makes you happy, god bless.

      @@grahamjl766 The Apple watch will be garbage in a couple of years, once the battery dies. Besides, this gshock is clearly a cashgrab, but you can have basically the same watche for 400$, or even less in case of the GW-5000. And it'll last decades.

      @@DerpEye I understand Apple shelf life is trash but this watch is like selling a Nokia 3310 brand new for over 1k. Internals are antiquated but it works and will always work but come on even the cheapest g-shock square models prob cost $10 to make but they charge $50. Having said that I'm prob going to drop over $150 on the cheapest solar but it is annoying.

    I just bought it. I am probably going to wear it everyday. Great thing about this premium metal watch is that you do not need to worry about scratch.
    I am a G-shock generation. If you feel the same, you will not regret buying because you can probably wear it for the rest of your life.

      Indeed! Unlike other flashy Rolexes, Omegas and such this particular model is one design to fit in every situation; its wealth in stealth.

      If you insist to buy a digital watch with this kind of price, you might want to check out GP Casquette 2.0. Both similar price and you get something that you can actually brag and something really high class 😂 or at least, a Grand Seiko quartz, digital also

    What's weird...is...as an automatic/mechanical enthusiast....I would now rather have this this than a sub, speedy, or Daytona. I can't explain it. This is such a fine watch. I don't care what anyone says. My new grail.

    I had wondered about the multiple pieces of the bezel as possibly a step in the wrong direction for weakness or weakest link sort of thing, but think that Casio may have pulled it off, and the overall result is absolutely stunning!
    ...Especially when the original DW model looks like some sort of junior high school geek watch ⌚️. Casio has definitely come a long way 👏👍

      @@mooooooooooomooooooooooomo6829 I don't know who they decided to make it multiple pieces, but you honestly can't tell and it looks great.
      When I saw many of the original models, I thought they were pretty cheap and blah looking.
      As implied above, it's come a long way like a basic icon watch to a fashionable covert diamond watch ⌚️ ✨️ 😉 👌 😀

    i wonder how long parts will be made available. i have a tough solar frogman that has a damaged display. i checked with the official service center to replace the display and was told the part is no longer available. if the screen if this mrg gets damaged in a few years and cannot be repaired due to lack of parts, it would be a shame as this is so expensive.

      @@Davyjones5454 It's basically the same module of a GMW, with negligible differences (gold plated contacts or smthn). This is a glorified GMW, with a fancy bezel.

    If only they added GPS time synchronization to this. It's beautiful but the module's the same as the rest of the Bluetooth squares.

      I agree, for that price, its the least they could add. How could it still be using the same movement as a $150 watch at that price. With GPS it would justify that cost slightly..

      GPS watches are still pretty big. The teach isnt there yet to fix in a g shock square.

    このGショック入荷待ち状態だし、カシオは好きだけど安い時計はしたくない人がいっぱいいる。

    I wish they invested in upgrading the module too.
    My GBX-100NS has a better, more pleasant display to look at and more functionality. Even the timer is better on the GBX-100. I'd be tempted to get this MRG-B5000 but I know it would be a downgrade in functions compared to my $200 already pretty fantastic watch.

      I think they kept the LCD for this line just so it fits with the original. Maybe they'll upgrade it in the future. Casio is known for pumping out millions of variations.

    It's lovely but not everyone can afford to spend £3400 on a digital watch. Too exclusive for me sadly and with other more affordable mechanical options I am sadly not likely to ever own one of these, nor would I feel the money spent is justified!

    I'd buy this watch love it, but if the digital screen fails repair cost could literally rip arm and a leg. Some watches cost like thousands of pounds just for stupid service. I think id stick to stainless steel.
    After few years even if it breaks you can throw it away and forget about it, but this one is like your girlfriend leaving and can't get over it regret for life I say what do you think guys lol? 😂

    高級時計は他人から見られた時にさりげなく気付かれた時の優越感がいいのであって、下位モデルと同じデザインではそれが得られない。

    If only someone could replace the case with high quality resin, to reduce the costs of production and improve the shock resistance, instead of overengineering the alloy... i'm sure this could be an iconic watch.

    This watch is literally a overpriced GWM-B5000 with the same 3459 module, which I have owned for 2 years. Its a great watch this GWM. But this MR-G square serves no purpose. I would have wished Casio would upgrade the bracelet on the GWM-B5000 to make it an even better watch. At the asking price, it's not worth it.

      You're not going to get the kind of workmanship that went into the design of the case as described in this video for the price of the typical higher end G-Shock.

      Also, the materials are extremely difficult to work not only for their hardness but titanium also tends to be brittle, hence the alloys they made to handle this. If any of the luxury watch makers made something like this you can bet you'd be paying AT LEAST $6000,

      @@DerpEye they won't have the workmanship of this one though. And it's not just straight up titanium. Read up on what went into making this watch specifically instead of making generalizations. Is it worth the price? That's entirely up to the individual, in effect, how much he wants it versus what he can afford. If the 2 balance out, there you go.

      Well, as a machinist, this is actually cheap if u consider the cost and difficulty there goes into just one watch. This ain't just done in a heartbeat. So meny processes for eary individual part. Polishing of these smaller parts is a minfuck of its own in these harder materials.

      ​@@nz7555 Most quartz watches are priced 100% more than they're worth. This is a $2000 watch at best. When these don't sell in 5 years, I can guarantee we'll start seeing 50% off but alas, some people have too much money and don't care. That's their target audience.

      You are right in that there are many models to choose from over many years of technology, and with due respect I believe that with the same regard that Casio makes the watches and of different levels (such as the MRG line), this watch would be for people who are rich enough (however attained) to get one &/or don't want the basic, or have worked hard &/or know their value to get the best in life.

    This watch is a Gimmick, Just another way for Casio to step into the high price of watches, yet there are no moving parts that make this artwork. Why did casio put such a spring loaded , shock technology into a $4000 watch? Makes no sense, because people who wear a $4000 watch don't plan on banging this bad boy up.
    Silly Engineering to me and just another sales tactic to over price a digital watch with no moving parts in the movement.
    Waste of money for anyone to over pay for this. Titanium isn't that Expensive to begin with. Don't be fooled by Casio's over pricing hyped so called Technology that doesn't do much.

      To each their own. Just because it doesn't have any mechanical parts doesn't make it insignificant. Milling titanium is a premium and this watch uses high quality materials (Ti, COBARION, DAT55G, sapphire). Not to mention the meticulous assembly time on this is probably a lot longer than normal G-Shock square.
      Why do people spend absurd money on super cars when they can buy an economy car? Why do people buy $500 shoes when a $50 pair will do? Casio is catering to a very niche group. I guarantee you these will sell like hotcakes.

      @@welmoepics Yes to each their own, That was just my take on it. I can afford it, but would never, because its technology on this watch doesn't make any sense. that was my point.
      I have all of there Titanium line so far. Never paid full price for any of them either. That tells you, you can get them cheaper than Retail if your patient enough or willing to wait out the frenzy. It's a great looking watch, Enjoy to all that have purchased it. Im sure they will be happy with their new Mr G Square.

      @@ELEVOPR Seems like you have more watches than you actually need, when you only need one. I would suggest that you sell/dispose of the total stock in your possession and only have one to cherish. For your one watch, I suggest the MRG-B5000.

      I totally agree with you, it’s just a gimmick and its silly technology. But so are most watches. Who needs to go 6,000 meters deep with the new Omegas? Or even 300 for that matter. Most people don’t even take their watches to the pool. No one needs their watch to be a 4mm thick automatic like the new Piaget Altiplano. I totally get your point but that’s the nature of this hobby. As long as there’s someone silly enough to fall for it, there will be someone willing to sell it to them.
