Thank you very much for taking the time and showing this I just bought a 2010 Corolla and one of the rear speakers is falling apart but I just happen to have a pair of Polk Audio stand up putting in there
I watched some pro install shop YT video, they took the whole Back seat and the spare tire out. LIKE WTF? Trying to make it look hard so you will hire them? I just did mine with your directions. Great JOB! I could not find the Wire adaptors though had to hack into it. Spacer was on AMazon.
Just replaced the rear speakers in my Toyota to JBL GT6-69. Thanks for the video and links for adapters. Everything gone smooth. Now I have a mush better sound. Time to replace the front speakers...
I’ve got a ton of rattle from the left rear speaker from the plastic I can push on the plastic and the sound will go away. Where do you buy those adhesive sponges?
ua-cam.com/video/-M7VQPVYi5c/v-deo.html You can avoid taking everything apart and remove the speakers through the trunk. Just grab the protruding bolts with a pair of vise grips and turn them in. They have room inside between the sheet metal and the parcel shelf cover and once you have the speakers out you can retrieve the blots. Then pry the old speakers out. They bend easy and are going to be thrown out anyways. Then you screw the new speakers underneath the sheet metal like most cars instead of on top like the factory install. Easy peasy and takes about half an hour. No seats or trim to take off.
The gentlemans video showing him removing the bolts the wrong way increases the chance of stripping the bolt thread. Correct procedure must be followed to avoid having to spend even more money to fix the thing you broke.
No it doesn't risk stripping the bolt threads. And you don.t need the threads to do it the way I show. You use self tapping screws to install the new speakers. Self tapping screws make their own thread. @@treebear4620
Gday Kevin, was looking to ask the same question. Thanks for the video. Another thing, just want to know if that sponge solution actually did the trick with the referred vibration? I am getting this with my current speakers and am swapping them out within the next week.
Bobby Clemente yeah careful with buying speakers , Wal-Mart sells the kickers but they are the lowest grade speakers compared to the good ones that kicker makes
I was referring to the stock JBL speakers (upgrade) in my Camry. Not sure what happened, bought it used, but those things are rattling and a rolling, LOL.
It's because if it was that easy to take off any old thief could take your speakers in like a minute instead of 10 or 20 minutes. It won't stop a determined thief but it is a deterrent Edit. Same with the head unit

The front speaker install is much easier and worth the effort, you'll be glad you did

That’s some labor work right there. Well, won’t hurt to give it a go. Might learn something along the way.
Seriously you have to take out the entire back of the vehicle to get to the speakers. Nevermind.
@@dreambig9444 you do not need to remove the seats like he did just the panels on the sides

Thank you so much for this video, u are the best! keep making videos with ur mods please!
Thanks, I used your video to replace my rear speakers in my 2011 Toyota Corolla . Very helpful.
How long did it take?
thank you but this work very hard.
I think we must sell car :)
thanks man this is gonna save me some money!!!
so stock is 6x8"?
do you think the 2012 camrey comes apart like that also? you know it comes with air bags there.
when you first opened the trunck, what you did to release the seats?????,
Yisus Films I know this old but, in the trunk there’s knobs to release the back seats
I'm still confused, do you have to solder the factory wires onto the new speakers in order to plug them in?
When I installed mine I just use some wire clamps, you could use wire nuts too even. Whatever allows the current to flow
are those speakers u took out the same kind of factory spears that come in all corollas??
No, the ones he took out are nicer than stock.
Японцы молодцы, даже с такими руками все получится.
where did you get the adapters?
What is the brand name on the speaker brackets?? Thank You for the video!!
Do i have to replace the amp for this?
So why do you need an adapter?
The radio is stock?
@Agremen how so?
Someone where can I buy the plastic piece panel . See what I means at 3:34
Alexander Gabirondo go to a junkyard man
@Agremen haha i thought you were saying because everything pops off, cause pretty much all cars are like that now....
What size speakers are they? 6.5"?
Those are definitely 6x9's
@elboricua19 I bought them from a seller on ebay, sorry cannot find the name of the store.
great job!
awesome video!

To release the back seats on a 2009 there should be 2 black knobs you pull just under the back speaker deck to release them.

good stuff, but sir please consider some cardio ..your breathing sounds labored. health is wealth

@Pickle312 In don't like the interior!Vs yaris Hatch 2012!
Wow I love cars theyre so fun to work with. Gotta remove the whole fucking seat to replace a speaker
Thank you thank you thank you !!!!
Thanks, as difficult as it is to change you would think they wouldn't put these shit speakers in them, mine just went out
I got JBLs in mine and they are crap, must be bottom-of-the-line JBL speakers, LOL.
Oops, I have a Camry not a Corolla.
Bobby Clemente yeah careful with buying speakers , Wal-Mart sells the kickers but they are the lowest grade speakers compared to the good ones that kicker makes

@Pickle312 i know :)
Yeah putting plastic back took longer than the whole install
Some day they (Top Engineers ) will figure out, just take the speakers from the trunk ( snap on - off type ) instead of removing all those panels. 🤪

Wtf...that is a sucky design. Was thinking of helping my friend change his speakers, now I dunno if I want to deal with it...
Vay be
You forgot to take the engine out to
Ñ
damn what a piece of junk the corolla is!
No,
But if you do it will sound even better.
I Nick named my friend from work redbeard. Are you a ginger? Lol
I would think all Corolla's from 2009 on would have same cheap plastic speaker.
Depends on the trim you buy, if you get an xle you will get jbl speakers
I'm still confused, do you have to solder the factory wires onto the new speakers in order to plug them in?
