I am also a life long musician! Great minds think alike haha... I made the switch only about 6 years ago and have been in love with video ever since. I still produce a lot of the music heard on this channel and when a video job calls for something custom and/or specific but these days most of my time is spent in the video world. Enjoy the journey! Cool! As a side note, you could grade clips together before the adjustment clip too. You just select the clips you want and put them in a group. Sometimes groups are more appropriate since you may have similar looking clips in different parts of the video. Thanks for making great content! 🤗

I love it! The only major thing that got my eye was when you softened your skin, you should mask out eye for that because skin looks even better in a contrast against something sharp, plus otherwise everything is washed out like a bad footage (I guess it works if we go for overall dreamy hazy look though :) ). But that is probably just what you'd do but couldn't fit in the video. Maybe the eyelashes can be masked out based on luminance only with a hard feathering, maybe not - but we would mainly need sharp hair at lashes and eyebrow. :) Maybe iris too, depending on the exact effect we want.

Thanks you for the input musaire, I appreciate you taking the time to comment!... Hey Marcel, I love your channel and your enthusiasm!! I learn a lot every time I watch your tutorials.... I have a few quick questions though... Do you select your camera profile in the "Color Management" of your project settings or do you grade from scratch? I don't have a camera which is on the list (GoPro Hero7 Black, mainly for filming underwater or in the air)
How do I go about not having a colour profile for the GoPro? (GoPro is so widely used nowadays, why didn't they include it?)
    Greetings from Poland, Chris

Hi Marcel. Great Video. Could do a video where you show your approach how color grade video snipets that has different daylight or weather conditions to make the video not that harsh when the clip changed? I do sometimes some drone videos where I shot a video on two days with not pretty the same daylight conditions. Example: first shot, a drone circles over a boat and the second shot is from the inside with windows and sky in the background. On day one it was a bright sunny day and on the second shot it was as well but not really the same it is a bit more dizzy. Blue colors will not be the same. Do have any tips on that how to make both shot a bit similar?

Once I started making myself do everything in Resolve it didn't take too long to figure it out. They best way to learn is to just start using it, when you run into a road block find a tutorial on what you are trying to do and over time you will play the program like a piano.
