Just a couple months ago Kobra VR launched their Blitzer VR gunstock for the Meta Quest 3. At that time I felt it was a fantastic stock; it did all the things you want a VR gunstock to do. It helps stabilize your aim to increase accuracy and increases the level of immersion while playing shooters in VR. On top of that, thanks to it's thoughtful design, it provides perfect tracking 100% of the time, which can not be said of all gunstocks currently on the market. Falandorn, the founder of Kobra VR, is incredibly passionate about his VR gunstocks and is constantly striving for perfection. He's not happy unless a gunstock tracks perfectly and feels comfortable and natural to use. Even with as good as the Blitzer was in it's original form he still felt there was room for improvement, so only a mere 2 months after it first launched the Blitzer has been refreshed to a sleeker and even better functioning design. Thanks for the vid. Trying to decide between the Blitzer and Maglock for the quest 3. Have you tried them both for the quest 3? If so which do you prefer?
I actually just tried KobraVR's new MagLock Ultra for the first time yesterday, and it worked great. I've only played some Contractors with it so far, so I still need to try it in some other games to really form a good opinion about it, but my first impression was good.
One thing I liked is I didn't have to recalibrate my guns with it. The calibration I already had in place from the Blitzer worked perfectly.
I'm very used to using stocks like the Blitzer that don't use a sling though, so that part was a little different, however in Contractors you spend 90+% of the time running your rifle. You aren't disconnecting your dominant hand controller from the stock all that often, so in the hour and a half or so I played yesterday this was a non-issue.
The new sling KobraVR is providing with the MagLock Ultra though is WAAAAYYY better than the one they used to provide with their stocks in the past. The old one they used did it's job just fine, but it was pretty cheap feeling. The new sling they're sending out isn't top of the line or anything but it's pretty nice and compared to the old one they used before, it's a night and day difference.
The MagLock Ultra is a little bit heavier than the Blitzer, but both are super lightweight, so when it comes to arm fatigue from carrying either one around, that's not an issue at all. MagLock weighs 14.1ounces (400 grams) and the Blitzer is 8.1ounces (231 grams), so MagLock is just slightly less than 1 pound and the Blitzer weighs about 1/2 pound.
In my opinion whether someone chooses to go with a MagLock or a Blitzer comes down to
1) whether they're looking for more of a simulation experience, or just wanting something to help increase immersion, steady their aim and increase accuracy
2) how much they're willing to spend on a VR gunstock
3) how important aethetics are to them (whether or not they care if it looks like a real gun or not)
If you want something that is going to be the most "realistic" then the MagLock is going to do that better IMO than the Blitzer. However, if you play lots of online multi-player and you want to be fast and accurate and being as realistic as possible isn't a big deal to you then I think the Blitzer fits that really well.
As for how much someone is willing to spend, the Blitzer, while not cheap, does cost less than the MagLock, so again, for someone looking to steady their aim and increase accuracy it's the less expensive option.
And the last one, aesthetics, the MagLock is hands down cooler looking than the Blitzer and definitely grabs peoples attention when they see it. The Blitzer isn't as interesting to look at, but it does get the job done and it does it well.

I remember you mentioning about the front controller losing tracking on the original blitzer and was afraid the mag lock could have the same issue. Happy to hear you didn’t experience that. Definitely leaning towards the Maglock for the look to be honest
hey dude could youl make some performance videos with unreal engine games moded with the uevr injector? i think this is trully the new bemchmark as it demands a lot of vr performance out of games that weren't built with vr in mind at all but that are still awesome in vr
Have you used your quest pro controllers with your quest 3? I play 11 table tennis, and I feel my quest 3 controllers lose tracking a lot especially with adapters. I was wondering if the pro controllers would help. Thanks for the input!
I have not tried the Pro controllers with the Quest 3 yet. I'll have to give them a go sometime soon.
just bought mine from kobra just one question can you use pistols and smg´s whit this stock too? ore shorter guns in general? greetings from germany :)
Yes, you can still use pistols and SMGs. That's one of the great things about the adjustable length of the front end and shoulder stock. It allows you to adjust the length of the stock to whatever gun you're using in game. The shoulder stock does get in the way a little bit when you use a handgun, but it's more of an annoyance than an actual problem.

I need help choosing between the blitzer and mag lock ultra for Quest 3. I wanna be able to play accurately, freely and fast in Ghost of tabor, And Contractor

I’d say it’s comparable from the looks of it but blitzer is probably the best competitive stock between the two

How is it when switching from rifle to pistol? Pretty easy or a little hard?
It's fine. The shoulder stock does get in the way a little bit at times, but for the most part it's not a hindrance.
Which do you prefer? This one or the maglock?
Personally, I've grown very accustomed to the stocks like the Blitzer where your dominant hand controller is attached to the stock at all times, and they've become my favorite style of gunstock. On Quest 2, I first used the Kobra Ultra-Lite and DMR, then the Sidewinder, and fell in love with that style of stock. It's nice to never have to worry about a sling or try to reconnect your controller to the stock while blind in your headset. I like playing fast-paced shooters like contractors, and KobraVR's slingless stocks just work perfectly for that type of game.
I only just started using the MagLock Ultra the past week or so and it's a great stock too, but making it look more like a real gun places your dominant hand controller below the stock which introduces the possibility of that controller being occluded from the Quest 3's view causing it to lose tracking on your dominant hand. I've had this happen several times as I've been playing with the MagLock Ultra and during those moments things can get pretty wonky and it's impossible to aim until the headset can see the controller again. When it happens I've found I just need to move my thumb off the analog stick so the headset can see the face of the controller again and tracking comes back to normal. For the most part when I'm playing a multiplayer match tracking is fine, but like I said occasionally I lose the tracking on my right hand and things get wonky for a little bit. Since there's nothing above your controller on the Blitzer, you never lose tracking, you're able to play without any issues.
The MagLock Ultra also lacks the ability to adjust the length of the front of the stock. That's another one of the drawbacks of it looking more like a real gun, while it looks really cool, you're kinda locked in to how long/short it can be.
It is compatible with the vast majority of guns in games though there's just a few of the really short SMG's like the P-90 it doesn't work well with. Most all other SMG's, AR's, Shotguns and snipers all work well.

How long is shipping usually?
Kobra VR is a made to order business, so they don't produce a stock until an order has been placed. I don't know what their order load is at the moment, and have no idea what the current wait time is, but usually they're in the 3 to 4 week range. Of course that lead time changes based on how many orders they have. Sometimes it's shorter and sometimes longer, but with the holiday season behind us, I believe they're in the 3 to 4 week range right now. Again, I don't know that for certain, but I believe that's where they're at now.
Its interesting, def an improvement over the first gen, but it still looks like it needs some work IMO.
What would you possibly change?
@@OneTrueProdigy_ The angles, the attachment points (dumb putting the rings on top like that, higher chance of obscuring the tracking LEDs), magnets on both front and rear grips so you can detach either or grip. More adjustment... Do you want me to go on?
Tbf though, for not much more Could just get a Protube and be done with it...
@@Munky332 to each their own, protube is bottom heavy which feels very awkward, not to mention that it’s got a lot of weight to it compared to this one.
Well I haven’t had an issue with occlusion issues with fallendorns stocks as of yet.
I would buy one if the shipping didn’t take 1-2 months. Lol. Ridiculous.
